Action Replay Dsi Troubleshooting

How do I fix my Action Replay DSi?

If you are doing it on your DSi it should come up as Game and Watch Collection. I had the problem where it wouldn't work on my DSi when I went into it. Anyway, I fixed it by resetting my Action Replay through the computer. While the Action Replay isn't in the console plug it into the computer and use Action Replay DSi Code Manager then click the top then About AR and reset hardware. It will delete your codes, but may fix the problem. Otherwise, I can't really help.

What is wrong with my Action Replay DSi?

When I turn it on, most the time it has the error thing and says to power it off and check the DSi troubleshooting manual. Then, if it doesn't do that, it says this weird thing when you try to start the game. It says "READ 1:/codes/YFYE853A344D OPEN FOR READ ERROR (2) and then just goes to the list of games. Also, when I try to delete a game off of there, to make some room for codes, which I probably don't need to do, it says DELETE ERROR and then the same warning that it said before except for instead of YFYE853A344D, which is the code thing for the game I'm playing, Pokemon Explorer's of Darkness, it has the code thing for the game I'm trying to delete. Also, I don't want to reset my ARDSi, as I have added tons of codes, and I also don't 100% know where the usb and disc are for it.

Action Replay DSi Troubleshooting?

Try resetting your AR.

1. Place the "Action Replay Code Manager" CD into your computer, and follow the on screen instructions to install the Action Replay software.

2. Plug the mini-USB end of the supplied USB cable into the Action Replay cartridge and plug the other end into a USB port on your computer. Install the drivers for the device when prompted by the computer.

3. Click "Start," and select the "Code Manager" software. A window labeled "Action Replay DSi Code Manager" appears on the screen.

4. Right-click the four colored circles at the top left corner of the screen, and select "About Action Replay."

5. Click "Reset Hardware." The message "Are you sure you wish to reset your Action Replay Device" appears on the screen.

6. Select "Yes" to reset the Action Replay, then "OK" when the confirmation screen appears.

Why doesn't Pokemon Platinum work on my DSi?

So I bought Platinum on Amazon.com from a user (not a company) and it came fully sealed, in a legit case, with a legit game (or at least it looks 100% legit. Then I open it, put it in my DSi, click the game icon (it recognizes it as a game) then it gives me this error message.

"An error has occurred. Press and hold the power button to turn the system off. Please see the Nintendo DSi operations manual for help troubleshooting." I called the Nintendo Support line and they weren't of much help. They told me to try another game and see if it works. But until then I need to know if anybody else has any suggestions, if you encountered this as well, and what you did to solve it. Thank you.

Pokémon Diamond not working?

I'm sorry to say this but it appears that your Diamond game is broken. I don't think that there is any way to fix it yourself. I would suggest getting on the nintendo website and troubleshooting to see if the company itself has any suggestions. I wish I could be of more help.
Here's the nintendo troubleshooting page. Maybe this will help you more than I can.

Why doesn't the Super Card DS One work on my new DSi?

I just got the new Nintendo DSi today and I have the Super Card DS One. This is how the chip looks like that I have: http://i43.tinypic.com/wio6ky.jpg
When I put that in my DSi, it says: "An error has occurred. Press and hold the Power Button to turn the system off. Please see the Nintendo DSi Operations Manual for help troubleshooting."
Also, my sister has the old Nintendo DS and it always worked there. How come the chip won't work on the new DSi?

Why does my 3ds crash when I try to do something on it?

I feel your pain. Heck, I just got the wrong SD card once and almost died of frustration. And that was an easy to Google, easy to solve issue. Hopefully some of these options can help.If the system is crashing constantly, it’s time to do some troubleshooting:Is it related to a specific game?Make sure the game is updated (you’ll need a wi-fi connection for this)Try removing the SD card and re-downloading the title, if it is a downloaded game. See if it still causes the issue. If so, something happened with your save file that is causing the error. Which will be unfortunate for that save, which you’ll want to wipe in the system settings to solve the problem. If it’s related to one particular action in the game, you’ll be waiting for an update. Just avoid doing that thing in the game until an update is released. If it’s a 3rd party game, “homebrew”, or illegally downloaded, then your system may be trying to stop you from gaining access to it. Pirated software might be a bit buggy. Is your system updated?Make sure the system is up to date with the latest software (you’ll need a wi-fi connection to check for updates and download them)If you’ve hacked your 3ds in some way, that could be behind the problem. 3rd party software can have its issues. Is your SD card behind the crashing?Sometimes, the information on an SD card can get corrupted. Most of this isn’t your fault. Just don’t ever remove the SD card with the system on, and you’ll minimize this risk in the future. To test for this, remove the SD card and try opening some programs that are still on the system. Or switch to another SD card and download some programs to test it on. If it keeps crashing, the SD card wasn’t the problem. But if it stops, you’ll want to invest in a new SD card. You might be fine to copy your saves over, but you might not be.Did you contact Nintendo about the issue? If none of the above solutions help you pinpoint the problem, it may be related to your hardware. Since the issue is pretty uncommon, I think we can rule out software.Nintendo can possibly repair your system, but they’ll have to know what’s wrong and if there’s anything you may have done that they need to look at. If you’ve dropped the system on anything other than a pillow, this might be worth mentioning to help them help you.Good luck with your 3DS!

Wild Pokemon Modifier and Pokemon Transporter?

PokeBank exceeded my expectations and more - to my delight, it only blocks hacked Pokemon that have impossible moves and stats. That means as long as you aren't trying to transfer something like a Joltik with Heavy Slam and 999 Defense, you'll be fine. A Pokemon that was created or modified by Action Replay/PokeSav/PokeGen/PokeBuilder/PokeC... can be detected as such for three reasons:

1. It has characteristics impossible to get naturally in the game. In other words, you can't have things like a Pokemon with impossible EVs (over 255 in one stat, or over 510 in every stat), impossible capture information (like a Mewtwo caught in Saffron City in 1942), or impossible movesets (like a Flying Empoleon).

2. The PID doesn't match the shininess (or lack thereof), nature, and the IVs. You can use PokeGen to find a PID to match those attributes. You can download it, which supports all Pokemon games for the DS, here:

http://pokegen.projectpokemon.org/downlo...

3. The "flavor" text is off - stuff like where it was first met being strange (a Mew met in Celadon City, for example), or a non-event Pokemon in a Cherish Ball.

If you want to generate Pokemon, or generate the codes to generate them, it's hard to create them from scratch. You can use .pkm files as bases that you can modify in PokeGen to make your own Pokemon. Once you have made them, you can get PokeGen to generate a code to put it into your game. Here are some places to download them from:

http://www.pokecheck.org

http://pokecheats.net/pkmdb/

http://www.pokedit.com/download/default-pkm/pokemon-black/

Be sure that the .pkm file is from the same generation as the game you're putting it in.
