Ads Pop Up When I Click On Anything

Ad tab pops up every time I try to click on something?

On 99% of the websites I use, including Yahoo answers, every time I try to click on anything another tab pops open with an ad for that website and won't allow me to click on anything. I then have to refresh the page and if I don't click on what I need to within 5 seconds, I have to refresh continuously until I get to the link on time. It took me 10 minutes just to get this question posted. It's been doing this for about 2 months. Used to, all i had to to was refresh the page once and it would fix. I'm seriously about to throw my laptop outside.

Also, I have Norton anti-virus. I've already ran 3 full system cans today and there are no viruses showing up so what's going on and HOW CAN I FIX IT.

How do I get rid of these pop up ads. Every time I click on a link or surf to a new page a new window pops up.?

use malwarebytes first.

you can get malwarebytes here,
this is a direct download link so you should have no trouble getting it.
click on this link ↓ and then select run.
http://www.malwarebytes.org/affiliates/2...
install it, update it, then run a full scan and delete everything it finds.

some viruses will disable it so
if malwarebytes will not startup
then go into the folder it is in and rename the mbam file to XXX
then double click on the file you just renamed to start it up.

after you have used malwarebytes then do this online scan.
to make sure you have nothing else hiding away.

preferably in safe mode with networking.

Random ads popping up in Chrome?

Hi, yesterday I got a message on chrome saying I had to update chrome and some video player thing was out of date. At first I thought it was a scam but the url looked alright and i also remembered that I had been getting messages on my phone that chrome has recently gotten an update. So, I went ahead and clicked on the update link on this page that had popped up asking to update chrome. An installer came up, it looked ok as well, so I clicked accept and all that jazz. However it was asking me to install these random toolbars or software that you get sometimes with downloads. I didn't accept any of them, and the installer started updating. I still thought it was legit because chrome then closed by itself.
However, a day later. I have several things going wrong. I have two new icons in that bar in the bottom right corner of my desktop (i forget its name) and both have to do with scanning my computer for harmful/outdated files and such. Also, about 50-60% of the time I click on something in chrome, whether its a new tab, a link, or just blank space on a website, a pop-up appears with an ad for one of those random advertisement sites that are totally fake. Also, every once in awhile, a menu of some sorts flys in from the bottom of chrome with several ads on it.
So now I know that "updating chrome" wasn't the best idea. How can I make sure to uninstall and get rid of anything that may have been downloaded yesterday? And how can I get chrome back to normal? Thank you!

Everytime I click anywhere in internet explorer, a separate window pops up! So annoying! How can I get rid of?

I use Chrome and have had this problem. I disabled the "Yealt" extension and this seems to have fixed it. Yealt is an ad-supported browser add-on, and I've no idea why it was enabled in my browser. When I re-enabled Yealt the problem returned; disabled it again, the problem went Coincidence? Maybe, but worth a try. Not sure how this carries over to IE8.

The problem situation varies, if the browser opens with some other search engine when you start with any browser, First try with..Clean your browser cache etc..Remove all the unknown chrome extensions.Change the default search engine…Activate Adblock and check whether POP window and 3rd party are blockedClear the browserIf it doesn’t work then your computer contains browser hijacker where you would have download and installed the suspicious and malicious software form unprotected website where neither your anti-virus nor windows defender cannot block that.you cannot find that software in Add Programs and u can’t delete in MY ComputerBut it can be removed by full version antivirus with malware remover where u have to scan 2 to 3 times fully..But make sure that the antivirus you are searching in net to remove it will give fake malware remover which will give strength to hijacker becoz the browser and the search will be totally controlled by this.So use reputed antivirus like kaspersky, Avira, Norton, K7, NPAV etc…

I think its an extension that has been added to your chrome browser unknowingly. You can remove it by the below process.Select Settings in the drop down list.Click on Extensions on the left to display installed Chrome extensions.Find ONCLICKADS.NET extension and click on "Remove from Chrome" icon. That’s it, it should be gone. Hope it helps :)

I have no idea why marketers thought it was a good idea to install pop-up ads in websites. Yes, I see them - duh!, but I instantaneously dislike the visual, waste of time and action related agression. I never purchase (or click) anything that it is shoved into my attention; I wouldn't purchase it at a store if it was presented that way either. The overall effect is that I end up disliking very much the company the uses pop-up ads. Forced marketing yells lack of creativity and understanding of impact.
