Im looking for a summer job, im 14 years old and i am desperate to make money this summer! any suggestions?
a lawyer came to our school at the beginning of the school year and gave us a pamphlet that explained our rights as teenagers and it said that if you ar between the ages of 14-17 you are eligible to work in an office, grocery stores, and restaurants. but i don't know how to sound very convincing. i don't want to sound too desperate but i do want to sound like im willing to work. how should i present myself if i am trying to get a job at my apartment complexes' main office?

IM REPOSTING THIS ONE IN DIFFERENT CATEGORIES COZ IM SO DESPERATE 4 AN ANSWER!!!! DONT CARE IF I WASTE MY QUESTIONS!!! Please help me, i'm confused as hell.....okay my teacher is youngish, about 26, and I'm 16. I had been ill all last week so at lunchtime i went to his room 2 collect work i'd missed. We were talking. I have such strong feelings for this teacher, I've felt like this for FOUR YEARS so it's not just a crush. He has a wife. Anyway we were talking and the next thing he kissed me on the lips. I didn't last long, a few secs, anyway I broe away and stared at him and we went "oh god, I'm sorry I.." then I turned and started to walk out, he called after me, he was CRYING, saying please, please, I'm so sorry, please come and talk etc etc, but I just ran out. I've sensed him flirting with me before... he's not a paedo he's nice, he helped me through really bad times last year. I've always felt strongly for him and if he weren't my teacher I'd have been happy but it's all so scary and what to do? I have school tomorrow!!!! And I have his lesson first thing!!! Please help!!!!!!!!!!
High School Student, Part Time Job?
Hello guys, Well I'm 16 and I just wanted to ask a few questions and concerns because this has been bothering me for a while about getting a job and being a full time student at high school. I'm Planning to get a job on the Last Day of School for my school district which is June 4. And on that day I'm planning to apply for a job because I need the money so badly!!!! But Also, I'm planning to Attend Summer School over the summer to get extra credit courses and get finished with my academic required courses so I won't have to take them in my senior year. I want a job but I'll be taking summer school because I want to take extra credit courses, but I also need the money for my senior year. And also in addition to this, I'm planning to go to a 1 week summer camp program to NASA during the summer. But I was just wondering because this has been bothering me for a while because I'm broke and my parents don't give me allowances : (. 1. Is it a good idea to have a job during the school year or summer school? 2. If I have a job, will my boss give me the number of hours or days I should work during the summer or will I make my own hour decisions, days etc...?(Like I want to work only 6 hours for a few days in a week during the summer but I don't know if that's up to the boss or me, I don't know.) 3. Will my boss let me have a week off of work for an important business? (Since I'm going on that NASA Field trip one week of the summer of 2009) Should I give my boss a notice or something? 4. Say that I'm working at the job even after my summer vacation is over right. And I get back to school and I have homework and stuff, Can I request to shorten the number of days and hours I can work during the school year. (Like during Summer Vacation, I plan to work for many hours and days. But when the School Year starts again, I only want to work on the weekends and a very minimum amount of time like 5 hours.) Well that's all I have to ask guys, Please help me, because I'm sturggling with money and I need it badly and I want it by my senior year!!! I need to buy graduation stuff, class ring, etc...and I know my mom won't buy it, I come from a sort of poor family background, I live in a apartment, my mom pays bills and she hardly ever gives me any money, So I desperately need your help guys. How do i convince my parents to let me get a tattoo ?!?!?
I got my lip pierced when I was 16 and I also got an illegal tattoo when I was 16. I'm gonna give you my honest opinion. I was too young to realize that I would get tired of both over time, in fact I didn't even like them after 2 or 3 years. Plus my boyfriend tells me he thinks tattoos look trashy. =P Have you considered getting a necklace or a piece of jewelry made specifically in the shape and design that you want in the tattoo? I have a charm bracelet and I find that I'm much more satisfied by finding charms that suit me than getting tattoos. Just a suggestion. AND as for the job thing... you may feel that way now but when you cannot get a job because your tattoo is showing and you're HUNGRY, you will regret it. Oh by the way. DON'T get the tramp stamp!!!!! That's the one on your lower back. Don't do it, I'm telling you guys will think you are a slut.
