Advice On Getting A Job Help

Getting my first job, very nervous any advice?

for starters im 18, ive never had a official job where you have to fill out an application. ive pretty much have gotten by with mowing and raking yards around my block sense i was 15. it was not money to live off but spending money here and there. but no sense im 18 my mother is making me get a real part time job. and i am in a school program which lets me graduate my senior year early but i must have a job or be actively looking for one by turning 2 applications in a week. im also really looking for a job so i can start saving up for a car, and collage. its been one week sense the program started and ive turned in 3 applications, and i have 4 applications at home that i still need to fill out. the problem is each one asks for background work with employers and i do not have any sense i made money by raking and mowing lawns.i feel embarrassed being 18 and not having anything to fill in the background work section. do i just leave it blank? also if i do get hired by an employer how long do they train a new employ for? i guess im just nervous because i am afraid ill mess up and get fired. is there anything i can do to fight these fears? because i really want/need a job so i can further my life. any advice is welcome, and thanks for all answers!

p.s. i asked a similar question and got some comments about my grammar and punctuation, dont worry i dont fill out applications the way i type. i use excellent grammar and punctuation out side of yahoo answers. just throwing that out there, and once again thanks to all who can help me out!

I'm shy and thinking about getting my first job, any advice?

dont worry! everyone goes through this. i was applying for jobs for the summer too and i just got one today! :)

since your 16, now would be the best time to apply for your first job. you dont want to get older and have nothing to put on your application. at the age of 16, most businesses realize that this is your first job. so dont put it off, your at the perfect age for a first job.
dont be afraid to be interviewed. just remember that the person interviewing you is in fact, a PERSON too! :) they just want to see how reliable and hard working you are. its ok to be shy, everybody is nervous for interviews. just be confident!

good luck :) :)

Do your studies help you in getting a job or a degree certificate?

Most study is to learn a topic of personal interest to become qualified to work in a particular industry or company.  But study isn't only in the form of university settings.  I made it a practice to constantly learn new things in my profession - what's new, improved, higher performance, more secure, etc.  You snooze - you lose.  Always need to stay on top of your game so study will lead to more than just a degree.

I got a job but they only allow stud piercings, help?! Advice/opinions please?

Okay so I recently got hired at a Taco John's and yesterday I had orientation. At the end of orientation I asked about the piercing policy. I have a my nose, lip, nape of my neck, lobes and several cartilage piercings. All are studs except my nose, which is a hoop. She said piercings are fine but they must be studs, meaning I have to change my hoop to a stud. I really don't like this idea considering I think I look hideous with a stud, and the whole reason I got my nose pierced is so I could have a hoop. I know this sounds silly, but I almost don't want the job there anymore- I am only 17 and this is my time to have fun experimenting with piercings and hair and such. I don't know what to do- how to quit since I literally just got hired. I don't want to seem irresponsible on unprofessional. I just wanna have fun while I am young. I can always work for my dads company until I get a different job. Please help I just really want advice and opinions!

Will previous experience help in getting a job after an MS in the USA?

You haven’t mentioned any details about your past work experience! However, if it is a full time ‘permanent-employee’ job that you had in a domain that you would want to apply to even after your MS, your work experience would be counted relevant. However, a shift in domain, may or may not count your work-ex (this depends on a lot of factors).I hope this answer did help you. For assistance to apply for an MS in USA and with your other queries, you could reach out to us on Quora messages, personally.

Can someone give me advice on getting caught for Prescription Forgery? PLEASE HELP!!!?

I have had numerous people on probation for this.

Yes, eventually, you will receive a telephone call TYPICALLY. Every once in a while, someone will just be on a traffic stop and discover that they have a warrant. It depends on the deligence of the investigating officer.

Plus, as this is a felony - it must go in front of a grand jury first - and they will decide if there is at least enough evidence to charge you . So, that can add a month or 2 to the timeline that you will be waiting.

When you come to court, with no previous record, you will likely get probation. You will have to pay monthly fines, court costs and supervision fees, take counseling, have urine screens to make sure you are not abusing drugs still, and perform community service.

I have had 1 or 2 people get caught more than 1 time and still get probation.
