I can't get a girlfriend. Anyone have any advice. ?
I can't get a girlfriend. I'm so depressed. First off, I don't like going to clubs or bars to meet women, so I don't even know any casual places to meet new women. Secondly all the girls I've ever wanted don't want me, and all the girls that want me, I'm not really interested in. The women I find attractive don't seem to find me attractive, they think I'm too short and skinny. I'm only 5'7 and weigh 135 lbs. I'm not looking for love, I just want a companion that I'm attracted to physically and mentally. Ugh, I feel pathetic on here asking this question. I used to be really confident, because I used to be able to get almost any woman I wanted, when I weighed 155 and was lifting weights. But I screwed up a good relationship, and lost all my muscle, and none of the women I find attractive find me attractive. It's so depressing being short, I think I wouldn't mind being short if I was back up to 155 or 160 and had some muscle, but I'm skinny on top of being short, and women find that less attractive than fat men. I don't know what to do, I have a good personality, and an awesome sense of humor, but women seem to like muscly tough guys with a bad attitude, and I'm not muscly or tough, or have a bad attitude, I have a sad attitude right now but it's because I'm so lonely, and women don't like that either. I guess I'll have to settle for someone I'm not attracted to, because it seems that's all I can get. Lol this is almost identical to my situation. As the shy guy in this, I personally don't get over my crushes quickly but instead end up liking them for a looong time. The guy you described sounds exactly like me and the girl at work that I like (and that likes me) thinks I don't like her either. He's probably just really nervous around you and carries around a nonchalant attitude so he doesn't seem desperate or over excited to see you. But based on personal exp he is still probably into you and he definitely doesn't "hate" you. Even though it's really his job to take initiative and open up to you, he definitely wouldn't mind if you opened up to him first. BTW I'm planning on asking her out tomorrow so wish me luck!

He puts those digs in to you, because YOU LET HIM. Obviously you two did not split on decent terms, and at least he still holds plenty of hostility over it. I seriously doubt that anything he says is actually true - he just wishes it were. Remember, just weeks ago he was still saying he loved you - how COULD he be over it that fast and be happier with ANYONE else. He isn't and he cant. People just do not work that way. What you HAVE to do to put a stop to his harassment, is this: Write him a letter, send an email, and text message saying the exact same thing. When you send the written letter, make sure you sign it , make a copy of it, and send it with "delivery confirmation" that he has to sign. What you need to say is something along the lines of: I do not wish any contact with you at all with the exception of confirming plans regarding (your children's names) or in the event of an emergency regarding (children's names). I am not interested in your private or personal life, and am not interested in being friends with you. Do not email, call, leave messages for me on any phone, personal or through my place of employment. The ONLY thing we need to discuss is (children's names) - any other form of contact from this point forward, will be considered harassment, and will force me to take further serious measures against you in a court of law.
