Afraid My Business Idea Might Be Stolen

I have £100,000 but do not have any business ideas... Im looking for a partner.?

Be very careful. People with ideas but no money can lead you into a financial disaster and walk away as soon as your money is gone.

I was in your position. I had money and had no idea what to do with it. In my case, it was about $250,000. I decided to invest in property and rent it. So, I embarked on a journey of a year during which I studied the market and looked at what was opportunity and what was fool's gold. I ended up buying 3 condos for cash and renting them. I have made an outstanding profit when you count the tax advantages the business created. Net profit plus tax reduction amounted to over $25,000 last year and the value of one of the properties that I "stole" during the downturn in real estate in Florida, went up almost $100,000.

So, use your ingenuity not your fear as your guide. When you ask someone with ideas and no money to add to your armamentarium of skills you will end up discovering why they have no money.

Ask for help from experts. For my business, I picked the brains of people who knew real esta

I am afraid my business idea will get stolen/copied once I outsource it, to get the product developed. How can I overcome this?

Yes it is a valid fear! Also I don't think NDA and other legal documents are easily enforceable either.I have tried one approach that has worked for me. Prepare a detailed Work Breakdown of the development. If you are not skilled to do then hire a local project manager to do so. This can be very high level like User Interface, Data Architecture and API etc.Hire up work freelancers by module. So each freelancer contributes their module to you. There is a need for one integration person that can stitch all the pieces together. This integration person can be a local person or a integration consultant freelancer. There are some cons to this approachYou need to micro manage all the pieces. It is actually better to micro manage when you are outsourcing as a general best practice. There is a risk that integration consultant may steal your work. However it is not as big a challenge since you are not dealing with an institution that can put effort behind it.This approach costs you more than outsourcing the entire work to a single vendor. In my experience Pros outweigh cons when you manage the delivery this way and mitigates risk in a big way. Hope that helps.

Someone stole $500 in cash?

I brought $500 in cash because I'm young and stupid. It was really dumb, but I brought that money because I usually eat after school. I go to a middle school, so I didn't think anyone would steal and look through every backpack to find money. So my first class was orchestra, so I put my backpack outside like we normally do. On Monday, three days later, I realized ALL the money in my wallet was gone. There was about $500 in there. I've been feeling so guilty for bringing too much money, and I'm afraid if I tell my parents, they'll just yell at me. What should I do? Please help!!

My mom stole my Tax Return...Ideas?

If you make under $35,000 a year. The IRS can do your taxes for free!

I have been going there for a few years now. Its so much easier than having someone do it.

They don't accept phone calls, but all you have to do is walk in & make an appointment.

What if an original idea seeking crowdfunding gets stolen by another user or people and starts before the actual project by someone else?

I have two quick and simple answers to this depending on which side of the fence you come down on:- some people in the valley would generally say, "The idea doesn't matter, it's the execution." If your idea isn't innovative in some shape or form, and I would say very few of those are in a generation, then I think this generally applies. Think Apple vs Microsoft on desktop then vs on mobile now.- a pair of my former professors would instead say, "It's not the first to market, it's the first to product market fit". I've come to think this is truer in both senses, but it's particularly applicable if your idea turns out to be one of those rare brilliant ones worth stealing. Think Edison vs Tesla with electricity.

I am a recent grad and I have a new product idea. To understand whether there is an immediate demand for it, I would have to explain my idea to users and ask them what they think of it. Should I be worried that my idea might get stolen?

Absolutely not.Take a look at Elon Musk:In 2006, before the Tesla Roadster was even available, Musk laid out his vision: electric cars for all. With its hellishly obvious title, “The Secret Tesla Motors Master Plan (shh don’t tell anyone)” the message Silicon Valley’s rebel with a cause was sending was this: “You gonna try to steal this?”Who was Musk daring? The naysayers? Industry experts? Other car companies? The answer is: who cares.10 years after he laid out his exact MO, the affordable Tesla is here – and no one stole his idea.In that now legendary post, Musk essentially published a basic roadmap, something that most companies go to great lengths to keep under wraps. That 2006 post has resurfaced again as the first waves of affordable electric Tesla 3 pre-orders roll in, because people can’t help but marvel that Musk followed through on a promise he made ten years ago.Musk did the exact opposite of what most businesses are afraid to do. He publicly stated his values, marked his territory and followed through with a bang. The consistency, the transparency, the truly ludicrous Ludicrous mode – the people love it!No one’s going to steal your idea.As Musk said,Technology leadership is not defined by patents, which history has repeatedly shown to be small protection indeed against a determined competitor, but rather by the ability of a company to attract and motivate the world’s most talented engineers. We believe that applying the open source philosophy to our patents will strengthen rather than diminish Tesla’s position in this regard.

How can I keep my x-mas door wreath from being stolen?

Or maybe you could try hanging it in the window. My neighbor has four street facing window and hung a wreath in each one. They look beautiful.

So sorry about those kids. Maybe you should coat the back of it in something sticky or yucky so when they try to take it they get goo on their hands. LOL!

Have a Merry Christmas!
