After Closing King Island Facility In New York It Moved To Where In Kansas And What Is It Now

How long does it take for normal mail to reach another city in Washington from washington?

The mail between major places or places along major routes is remarkably quick and likely to be delivered in 1 or 2 days. Mail between small towns that are off the beaten path may be routed away and come back.I don’t know the details of how this item would travel, but let’s hypothesize two letters sent from Chelan. One goes to Spokane (150 miles) and the other to Stehekin (40 miles). I guarantee that there is faster service for the item to Spokane since that is a bigger city and maybe even a sorting center. Probably it’s delivered the next day. The letter to Stehekin at minimum goes to Wenatchee and comes back. It might even go to Spokane and then has to wind its way back to Chelan and eventually Stehekin. So “normal” mail from Bellingham to Pasco will rarely be more than a couple of days. What’s normal though? “Normal” mail from Endicott to Conconully could be most of a week even though the distance is far shorter.

What are some slang terms used among police officers?

The most derogatory terms for the bad guys and citizens who are just pains in the rectum:A.H. = Adam Henry (A-dam H-enry) If you don’t get it…..sometimes you will hear it as “Jack Hole”…..now what starts with an “A” that ends with HOLE ?RICHARD CRANIUM= What starts with a “D” and is a nickname for Richard ? What is the non-medical layman’s term for the Cranium ? Do these clues HEAD you in the right direction ?

When did you realize you need to move out of New York City?

It was the Summer of 2001. I had just gotten pregnant with my first child, had finally gotten some great freelance gigs, including a adjunct position at a college teaching my specialty. After years of hard work, things were finally paying off for both my husband and me.And yet, one morning in June, I woke up, rolled over in bed and said to him “You know, I can’t believe I’m saying this but I think I’m done. It’s been great, but I’m ready to go.” To my complete shock, he agreed. THAT VERY DAY he discovered a job ad for a firm that was absolutely perfect for him in every way up a bit higher on the Eastern Seaboard. He began the interviews the same week and within a month had the job. I could continue my work until my contracts ended by commuting. We moved on our wedding anniversary, August 31st.Twelve days later, September 11th, and all the horror and misery that came with it for NYC and the US. And my Brooklynneighborhood was never the same, really, was anything the same after? I went back into town the day the evac was lifted from below 14th to see my obstetrician and go to the first vigil after the event. I already felt like an outsider. It was terrible. I sobbed all the way down Broadway. To say that I had survivor’s guilt would be an understatement. I won’t go into details, but the towers had a direct, devastating significant impact on my immediate family. Eventually my husband and I divorced and my profession changed, making it more convenient, but not a bit easier to live away from the town I still consider my heart.I was once told that the only two ways you can live in New York is as a pauper or a king - the middle of the road only leads to ruin. I do believe that it can make or break you quicker and with more finality than any place in the country - and when you see that it is bleeding you dry, from either an emotional or a financial perspective, you might want to consider a change. Still, while I don’t consider my leaving a personal failure, I do often wish I had stayed if for no other reason than to hold it close and help it heal during those first few painful, confusing and difficult years after the towers fell.I still love you, New York.

Question About Slavery and the Civil War?

To Knowledge: The Civil War was clearly about slavery. The South secceeded from the Union because the north tried to say that no new states can have slaves and that slavery was bad. The South finally got fed up with the North's meddling in its affairs. Abolitionists like John Brown became terrorists and attacked trains with Southerners on them in Harper's Ferry.

As far as what incentive did a Southern soldier have, well, for one, he didn't want free blacks to compete with him for jobs. That is the most basic incentive anyone could have. When is the last time anyone who replied to my question quit his/her job to graciously give it someone else more needy?

None of your arguments make any sense. I still don't know what a northern white guy's incentive was during the Civil War.

Can you still pump gas at a closed gas station? Why or why not?

First of all. I think it is absolutely brain dead that many gas stations close. They have card reading pumps. Shutting them off is stupid. I fly into airports all the time when they are closed. I key my mic 3 times and the runway lights turn on. I land, Fuel, and go.Automotive gas stations have split phase electricity IE. 120/240 60 hz. My car has a 120/240 60 Hz modified sine wave inverter built in. You bet your Bung Hole I can roll up to any gas station in the country and make that pump start delivering fuel.BUT.I suggest you wait for a power outage. They “Got” Cameras that work pretty good, even at night.Your best bet would be to modify a car or a truck with an onboard pump and a large fuel tank. Park over the fill caps, and access them via a hole or hatch in the vehicle. Pump out a couple hundred gallons, and they may not notice the missing gas for 3 or more months. Hell, they may think the tanks are leaking and sit on the info for another year seeing if they have a problem….. Then what? they would have to review the tapes for a theft. Then what do they find? How many cars parked on those fuel full caps during heavy traffic over the course of a year? Who the hell would think of a small low riding car driving away with 1200 pounds of gasoline stuffed in the trunk, back seat, and passenger side seat.
