After I Tun Off My Car It Ghost Idles At Higher Rpm

What are the bottom lights under my car's head lights called?

All car have parking lights known as running lights,They also have turnning signal lights , most of the time if there fog lights there at the bottom of the bumper or maked inside of the bumper,Why don't you turn your light switch on or pull it out one notch, if the switch turns turn it one click ,now go an look to see if those lights are on, if they are then there your parking lights, if they didn't come on turn your key on and one of the turnning blinkers ,then look to see if the lights are on ,if they still done come on ,then there going to be your fog lights ,If there fog lights they usually work when you turn the head lights on dim and push a button on your dash board.

Is ghost shifting (shifting without using the clutch) hard on the transmission of the gears don’t grind?

Is ghost shifting (shifting without using the clutch) hard on the transmission of the gears don’t grind?Shifting up is pretty easy without a clutch. It’s kind of hard, actually, to miss shift as you go up the gears.Shifting down is much harder to get right every time. This is when you are more likely to miss a gear if you are doing so without the clutch.I’ve had to do this (on a motorcycle) a few times when my clutch cable broke. You have to find a way to drive until you get to a place where you can stop. It’s not that difficult as long as you aren’t trying to jamb gears.Just use the clutch. They put it there for a reason and that is to save you money on clutch and transmission repairs. If the clutch is just too much to handle, get a car with an automatic.

I have a problem where my car hesitates during turns?

Its most likely fuel or sensor problem. The filter sock attached to the bottom of fuel pump may be dirty and when you go around a curve the fuel inside the tank sloshes to one side and the pump is now trying to suck fuel through a dirty filter. The edges of a filter sock usually get dirtier than the center portion and the edges are where the fuel is being sucked through during a turn rather than the center. The fuel enters the pump at the center but its coming into the filter through the outer edge of the filter.I would also jack the rear of the vehicle off the ground high enough so you can inspect the top side of fuel tank. There is a vent valve installed on the top of tank and maybe a fuel tank pressure sensor too. There is a vacuum hose attached to the vent valve which runs all the way up to the engine bay carbon canister.Maybe this hose is getting pinched closed somewhere under the vehicle(between the tank and body, etc.)when you're going around curves.Check for gas tank movement

How can you make a 2 litre engine car sound like a muscle car?

You can make ANY 4 cylinder sound like an 8 cylinder provided you have TWO exhaust valves per cylinder and are willing to do stupid amounts of work. Really stupid amounts of work. You need to make a special header which evacuates the exhaust gas for each exhaust valve separately - separately all the way into the down-pipe.The length of the exhaust pipes on the manifold need to be long and short for each valve on each cylinder; so 4 cylinders and 8 pipes, not 4.If it is a turbo engine, then all 8 pipes will go to the turbo and then to the down-pipe and exhaust. If it’s a N/A then they go to the down-pipe.Now this might sound ‘easy’ and then the question ‘then why aren’t other people doing it?’ Well, simply put, its not easy. You need to channel the exhaust from each valve separately. All the way from the valve on the cylinder. You basically need to do ridiculous amounts of work just for the sound. The difference in length of the pipes needs to be substantial, so space is a consideration and also the structural integrity as the engine block can move on its mountings and it will stress the pipes from manifold between the block and the flex part of the down-pipe.But as the pipes from the block to the down-pipe are different lengths, the pressure wave (sound) will travel and exit the exhaust at a slightly different time and you will have a sound similar to that of a V8 (it will actually sounds more like a flat 8).It is just totally not worth it. Much easier to put an actual V8 into your I4 engine bay if you really want the sound so badly.

Would does my car battery recharge faster if I gas it while I'm in neutral?

Your best bet is to not drive your car at all to charge your battery, but to use a battery charger. Most alternators are designed to maintain batteries that are already near a full state of charge. If your battery has been discharged to the point that you need a jump-start, you should fully-recharge your battery with a battery charger as soon as possible. Otherwise, you may set yourself up for a cycle of dead batteries and jump-starts, until either your battery fails (expensive) or your alternator fails (even more expensive).

2007 Nissan Quest SE Transmission have hard Shift no CEl Lights. Wired issue in Shifting?

Hello all MY name is Samira,
I have 07 Nissan Quest SE. Got the transmission and engine overhauled by my mechanic (decent mechanic not a transmission specialist)
when the car is normal temperature it shifts fine for couple minutes . When hot, I have notice that it gave a hard shift .I tried to put the car in reverse from neutral and it have a small delay (normal then usual) to in reverse. when i move from Reverse to Drive It gives a hard Shift. No Cel lights were on when i was bringing it back home. I noticed it starts from 2nd gear it wont go into First once you move the Shifter all the way low (Not sure if that's normal it should start from 1st Gear I assume) if I hit the gas pedal normal it revs very high going from 2nd 2 3rd Gear and it drives normal .
Then what I diagnosed is from a complete stop if I hit the gas pedal harder it shifts normal from 2nd to 3rd and so forth
after turning it off, upon restart, it started after 2-3 tries and i can see no power in engine but after hitting gas pedal couple times it was back to normal but now the Check Engine light came on. also in the same time frame I notice shifting was smooth no high Revs in shifts and when i put in or from Reverse it shifts normal
I have done extensive search on Internet and I get mix opinions from some Sensors might be a fix to Motor Mounts needs to be replaced and I even read clutch being bad.
thanks in advance and God bless.

What is the biggest cam that be used in my 1967 327 engine to give it a nice sound w/o changing a lot.?

X2 on a single pattern cam.
I would keep your lift conservative, too. Those heads are going to give up the ghost at lift beyond 520 or so. Keeping the lift closer to 450-470 will better help velocity at low RPM.

The old L-79 cam is a SUPER big advertised duration cam with about 30 degrees of unnecessarily shy .050 for the given advertised. Translation: VERY lazy ramp cam.
And...It's on a 114 lobe separation angle which is going to absolutely KILL acceleration and punch in a low compression 327. Before I started designing cams, the L-79 cam was the very first cam I ever bought. And it was lazy below 3,000 RPM even in a 350...Let alone a 327. It's not a horrible cam, I admit, but there are FAR better performing and more appropriate cams for you. Even if you don't buy one of mine. (Knuckles knows what I mean.)

I wouldn't consider that cam on a 114 lobe separation angle for a 327 unless I had 12:1 compression and was trying to kill off some cylinder pressure so that I could run it on 93 octane, because killing the cylinder pressure is precisely what a big seat duration cam ground on a wide lobe separation angle will do.

You'll get a LOT more sound out of it without having to put near as much advertised duration in it if you put a solid lifter cam in it because the opening ramp is SO much steeper and quicker. Use a good lock nut and you won't have any long term issues holding a valve lash adjustment. A good single pattern solid on say a 106-108 lobe separation angle will destroy a hydraulic cam from bottom to top and anywhere in between. It's not going to take much. I have the perfect cam for you.
