After Watching The Movie

Do you feel anything after watching a movie?

The answer is yes. Well for most of the people it's a yes. There are few people who watch movies just for the sake of watching. They ain't bothered by the plot or anything. But for common folks like me , yes we do feel , sometimes feel a lot.Recently I watched The Martian , starring Matt Damon as the lead. And guess what, now I'm aspiring to become an Astronaut!Movies are a very important aspect of society. They  can make people feel stuff that usually pep talks or general discussions can't. What we feel depends on the type of movie. If it's a comedy movie(a good one) then even after leaving the theatre, our stomach's are tickling! Horror movies can sometimes scar us of life. In similar fashion each genre produces a different kind of feeling , and to feel stuff after watching a movie is completely natural.

What was your reaction after watching the movie "Bahubali 2"?

Reaction? I still can't get over BAHUBALI! Bahubali 2 is the first movie which I have watched twice in theaters. Though I knew it all the second time, I couldn't help but cry. Even while writing this I am listening to its soundtracks. The magnum opus as they call it is a feast to eyes as well as mind.Today when it crossed the Rs. 1000 crore mark and became the first Indian movie to become a grossing 1000 crore movie, I was filled with a sense of pride and triumph. Bahubali has affected my mind to an extent that I either hum its songs or replay the scenes of the movie in my mind. Prabhas the actor who played the lead protagonist has dedicated five years to this epic and I can't stop praising him. Bahubali has established a new benchmark for the film industry. All the characters were strong and all the actors did justice to the role. The movie shows how royal our history was contrary to the belief that we were just slaves to the Mughal or British Empire. The beauty of the palace or the waterfall (Thanks to the VFX tem) held me awestruck. As I said I can't seem to stop praising the movie even though I lack words..So if you haven't watched the movie go watch it..#JaiMahishmati :)

What was your reaction to the after watching the movie Schindler's List?

I saw it with a friend and a half-full theatre. We all shuffled out of there deathly silent, as if it would be disrespectful to say anything until we left the theatre.

Why do we feel emotional after watching emotional movies?

We feel emotional after watching emotional movies, because they touch something in our hearts that hasn't been able to be fully processed.    I remember a couple movies in the last several years that just did me in.  One was called Benjamin Button about a kid who was born old and grew younger and younger and younger... for people who have loss issues (a bunch of my family died in a short amount of time) or for people who hang onto the illusion of control in their lives, this movie can really trigger some grief.  Great movie for getting all those tears out. Another one, The Soloist, a true story about an LA Times journalist (played by Robert Downey Jr.) running into a talented but homeless schizophrenic cello player (played by Jamie Foxx), takes the viewer right into the heart of the mystery (and misery) of mental illness and the struggles for both afflicted and family and friends and the great loss that is ongoing in a modern society like America where our biggest concern seems to be, anymore, money.  Movies well portray through great scripts, directors and actors, the very characters of its stories, and both the fleeting and abiding emotional states of them.  We feel emotional where they touch us the most deeply.

Anyone get this weird feeling after watching movies?

It's kind of like nostalgia. Idk after I watch certain movies I feel sad. Maybe empty yet also a little hopeful. It's a very quiet feeling. I feel like I'm too empathetic or something, I don't know anyone else who gets this way. I used to feel like this all the time when I was little. I would listen to my cd player, sitting in the backseat of my parent's car, watching everything go by, just listening to my headphones and thinking, picturing how my life would look one day. Idk, I guess I was just watching 500 Days of Summer and thinking about when my first real relationship ended. I actually saw this movie with him. And i had gotten that weird feeling the first time I saw it just like I have now. I really loved him, and I really miss everything we went through together. Idk I guess I don't really have a question, I just feel really nostalgic and kind of somber.

How do you feel after watching a 2 hour movie? Tired?

Because, every single time a watch a movie, after that I feel like a bit numb you know, and a bit tired, I don't have the full power to enjoy life after that, it's like there is this little mist in my brain, I feel like a bit sedated.
Is it only me, or you feel like this too? How exactly do you feel after a movie?

After I watch any movie I get a sad and depressing feeling. Is it normal?

We all love to live in fantasy. When you watch the ending of a movie or a show which u loved the most, you come across the fact that the fantasy is now over and you have to get back to your not so exciting/adventurous life. It is just a feeling that twists your heart.  We want to live a life just like our favourite characters who ahieve everything and solve everything in the blink of an eye. There are different types of people, one type for whom it doesn't matter anything if everything goes on smoothly. And the other type who wants their life just like a fairy tale. Me and you probably belong to the second category and there is nothing wrong about it. once we stop watching fantasies and want to make something out of our life, you my friend may be the one who actually makes a difference. come out of that fantasy and make your life astounding. don't let your mind be idle. Dream and work to achieve it.P.S: I am still working on it. So i actually can't suggest you how to come out of it. But give it a try your way.

Does anyone else feel weird after watching a movie?

Does anyone else feel weird after watching a movie? Even if it's not really a good movie? Like you're not really yourself or you don't feel comfortable in your own skin. It's hard to explain. It's like you don't feel like things are how they're supposed to be, like life feels different? I don't like the feeling I get after watching a movie. It happens almost with every movie. Like your brain is so wrapped up in the movie. This is probably a stupid question lol, but I was just wondering if anyone else has a hard time I guess 'switching back to reality' after watching a movie? And it's not because you're so attached to the movie or whatever, because it can be a bad movie, and you still have a hard time adjusting back to real life. It's just a weird feeling I can't explain. Does this happen to you or are you easily able to finish watching a movie and feel like yourself again and get back to you're life?
