Aiee Entrance Seat After Missing It Unfortunately

What should I do after failing the JEE on the 2nd try?

In India, students don’t opt PCM or PCB, they opt JEE & NEET. Each & every student prepare for these examinations throughout 11th & 12th on his/her own or being forced. In JEE, every year around 10–14lacs student compete & only 11,000 get seats in IIT. I know these institutions are great but students blindly prepare for these institutions. I am not saying that don’t prepare for it , who don’t want to get admission in one of the great engineering colleges of our country. Some students set their goals in early classes, they are the most ellgible ones but those who didn’t even know what is IIT until 10th & get to know after 10th class & really don’t have any interest in them rather have interest in other things like computer programming, electrical engineering stuff, economics or want to be an IAS, these people should not follow blindly others to the path of JEE ending up getting nothing. They should study for their 12th class & prepare for entrance exams like JEE and side by side focus on their interests like programming or any other useful thing in those precious two years. Let me ask you one question? Why you want to be in IIT? GOOD engineer? Why? Good Placement? Why? Good Money? Why? Happiness & Satisfaction. I know this sounds contradictory. I am not saying to stop doing hard work rather don’t get upset on only a small failure. So the basic problems lies here. You should try to become a good engineer rather than just trying to get into a good college. A good skillful engineer is far better than a good college. And college isn’t everything. Let me tell you one thing, where ever you take admission, you have to study yourself. Colleges and teachers just guide us. So, I would suggest you not to worry & take admission in any other college. But your aim should be of becoming a good engineer who could affect the world! And remember, its never too late for anything until & unless you have understood the situation & are on the right path & don’t get depress, focus on your interest skills, bang on & backfire on those who say only IITians are successful!Sorry, if I said anything that hurt you.

My VIT rank is 87,000, should I die? I was a bright student but due to some circumstances, I was not able to perform my best on the boards or in the entrances.

Edit: I don't know why, but some people are thinking that I asked this question. I think they don't understand how Quora works. SO, I DID NOT ASK THIS QUESTION. I JUST ANSWERED IT. Also, when I answered this question, the rank mentioned was 87000, not 87. I will tell you the true story of my friend. Please take positives out of it. He was my batchmate in my coaching in Kota. We were both droppers. I was taking coaching for the first time, while he had already spent two years in Kota.He was a very lively guy and good at studies too.In his first attempt, he had scored a rank of ~6000 in AIEEE and thus decided to give another shot to JEE. Now, coming to the results in this attempt. I barely made it through JEE and got a rank of ~6000 in AIEEE . This friend of mine, you wouldn't believe,  did not clear JEE and got a rank of ~30000 ( yes, with 4 zeroes) in AIEEE. I was pretty satisfied with my result, but I felt so bad for this guy. I called him up. I had in mind that I had to console him somehow, thinking how bad he must be feeling. But when I talked to him, I did not sense a single tremor of remorse in him . He was still the lively guy he used to be. He was upset, but was looking forward to whatever comes his way. I seriously saluted my friend that day, for such an awesome outlook. He went to an average college in Punjab , put his best efforts there and working in good MNC today. So, now, do you think your condition is worse than this guy? Do you still feel you are the only one who is going through such situation?Believe me, people have made it through horrible circumstances. 5-6 years down the line, you will laugh at this question you asked. I still laugh at the kind of fears I had when I was you age. Never ever think of giving up. Do what you gotta do.Edit: I just remembered. To worsen the situation, my friend did not fill forms for any other institutes( like VIT, State PET etc.). Just JEE and AIEEE, in either attempts.

If one is not able to provide the OBC (NCL) category certificate during admission to the NITs through the JEE (Main), and in his application form he filled in the OBC (NCL) category, then will he be placed in the general category, or will his candidature be cancelled?

He will be placed in general category, one of my friend wasn't able to provide the certificate of OBC category, At last he was considered as a general category student.
