Algebra 1 I Forgot How To Do It

Simple Algebra 1 step but I forgot what I did?

So I did all the work for a problem and I got up to the point were I am suppose to solve for V^2 (this is a physics problem but here is the Alg1 step I forgot how to do)
(75)(.03)^2 = (.450)(v^2)

How would I solve for V^2 if the answer is .387m/s how do I get there? SHOW ME STEP BY STEP PLEASE AND THANK YOU~

I forgot algebra over the summer!?

it's now like wednesday or something, and scchool starts on monday. i am going into geometry, and forgot how to do everything in algebra 1!!!!!!!! help!! is there site or somthign.. all i would need is refreshers, not full teach. like tell me what to do in simplified for everythiing.. normally this owuldn't be that bad. but i am th smart kid in math. and don't say obviously not because my tping thats because i am a really fast typer and am going to fast for comfert or whatever. oiaky???

EASY ALGEBRA...I forgot how to do it lol?

Good start.
From x^2 + y^2 = 10
you have y^2 = 10 - x^2

Substituting that into the second equation, you get
10 - x^2 - x * sqrt(10 - x^2) = 6
4 -x^2 - x * sqrt(10-x^2) = 0

If you graph that, it has two zeros:
(sorry, don't know how to solve it algebraically)
x = 1 and x ~= -2.83
For x = 1, y = 3
(1 + 1*3 = 4, 9 - 3 = 6)

For x = -2.83 we have y^2 +2.83y = 6
y = 1.42 and y = -4.25, the second of which is not a solution
to the original equations

((-2.83)^2) - (2.83 * 1.42) = 3.9903 (just under 4)
1.42^2 + 2.83 (1.42) (just over 6)

With some better techniques on solving that
equation with the square root, or better estimates
of the values, we could get closer.

I forgot how to do this Algebra problem?

x = # of chickens
y = # of pigs

x + y = 100 (chicken and pigs only have 1 head)
2x + 4y = 270 (chicken have 2 legs and pigs have 4 legs)

Solve this system using the elimination method:

-2(x + y = 100)
2x + 4y = 270

-2x - 2y = -200
2x + 4y = 270
--------------------
2y = 70
y = 35

Plug the y = 35 into one of the original equations:

x + 35 = 100
x = 65

(65, 35). There are 65 chickens and 35 pigs.

How can I learn Algebra 2 fast?

Following are the courses that you can take on Khan Academy;Pre-AlgebraAlgebra-IAlgebra-IIYou can find other interesting courses on different subjects as well. It is a great platform to learn from.

I forgot my math book (Algebra 1P)can i find it online?

So im in 8th grade taking an Algebra class bt i left my Algebra 1p book at my cuzins house so i cant get it he lives far like in san Francisco so i was wondering can i look at it via a website i really dont want to get behind my homework because our class does about 1-65 problems a day as homework witch can add up by next wednesday wen i can get my book back

Algebra 1 help!?

I don't know why, but I completely forgot how to do these kind of problems. Please show me how you got it. Thank you.

If 3 pounds of coffee cost $16, how much should 1/2 pound cost?

If 12 rolls of toilet paper cost $2.99, what should 18 rolls cost?

How can I help my children to study when I forgot most of the Algebra I learned?

Ask them to show you (and solve) a problem from Algebra I. Praise them for a good explanation; then, they will know you care. You will also discover how the subject is taught these days. If you cannot help them directly with their homework, you can work alongside them on something of your own. Show support—which is probably more important than showing specific math skills. Best wishes.

Algebra 1 story problem help?

We're doing a review and I forgot how to do this. The story problem goes like this:
You are making a scale drawing of a sailboat using the scale
1 inch: 3 feet. The length of the sailboat at its longest point is 36 feet and the height is 54 feet. What should the length and height of the sailboat be in your drawing?

I completely forgot how to solve this Algebra 1 problem?: Write and solve a system..?

So, I'm studying and preparing for my Algebra 1 mid-term this upcoming Friday, and I forgot how to do one problem...and I need your help, so here it is:

Two families go to a baseball game. One family spends $33 to buy 2 adult tickets, which cost $X each, and 3 youth tickets which cost $Y each. The other family spends $37 to buy 3 adult tickets and 2 youth tickets. Write and solve a system of equations to find how much each type of ticket costs.

These are the two equations I have figured out so far:

1. 33= 2X + 3y
2. 37= 3X + 2y

Question is, how do you solve these? I completely forgot! Thanks in advance!
