Are Range Rover's good cars?
I think they are amazing cars. But it depends on what you consider to be a good car. A lot of people think that if the car breaks a lot or needs more maintenance then it is a bad car, I do not. I have a 2002 Range Rover (The pre-Kim Kardashian one) and a 2010 BMW 750i. I will have my Range Rover forever! I honestly like driving it more than my Bimmer, but the BMW does give me less headaches than my Rangie. I take mine off-road stock and it's amazing. Plus the interior is so nice and comfortable. The only big problem with Range Rovers is the Air suspension, after about 70,000 miles it starts to get old. A lot of people ditch their Range Rovers for new ones when this happens. I got lucky and only had to put about $2,000 into it over the years. Sure little things will go wrong, usually the little luxuries that make it such a nice car, but in about 5 or 6 years the same thing will start happening to my BMW. German and British cars are not the most reliable on the road by any means. But for the people who own them they are definitely worth it. If you're in love with the Range Rover then go for it, All generations of them have their own problems. I like the older ones because they are more rugged and just look better to me. If reliability is what you want then look into Lexus. Reliability is what you sacrifice for German engineering.
What is the difference between a Range Rover and a Land Rover?
The technical answer is that Land Rover is the company and Range Rover is a sub brand.But I think there is a difference beyond this and that we all intuitively understand this.The Range Rover is a very luxurious and very capable vehicle for city and suburban road driving. On roads. It’s a statement of wealth and position. It’s also a vehicle that can function as a limo without looking like a limo or traditional high status vehicle. It drives well, provides driver visibility and provides a lot of safety in it’s design and 4 wheel drive. You don’t really see the Range Rover crossing deserts or climbing mountains. It can but you don’t see it in the ads because it is positioned as a luxury urban vehicle.The Land Rover is the vehicle that is more practical while still sharing much of the luxury and status of the Range Rover. You expect to see in on the sand at the beach or on top of the mountain. It can haul stuff and hold seven passengers. The Land Rover LR4/Discovery might be driven with dust and dirt on the sheet metal. When the magazines look at off road vehicles, they review the Land Rover and not the Range Rover.The Land Rover company has done a great job in creating two distinct images for essentially the same vehicle. It’s not a matter of cost. When I bought my Land Rover LR4 HSE LUX, it was more expensive than some traditional Range Rovers and wildly more expensive than the Range Rover Evoque. It’s branding and positioning.I currently own an LR4 and use it as a practical family vehicle and frequently for driving on the beach. When I was working in the city in the 90’s, I loved my Range Rover SWB. Terrific city vehicle, except that it had a hard time holding more than 2 sets of golf clubs.

Which is more costly to maintain, a Range Rover or a Mercedes?
Car maintenance is one of the most important things to consider when buying a car. The Mercedes Benz have been trying their best to keep their cars in demand & they are succeeding in their goal where as the Land Rover is just in the market right now as they are not able to focus on the fundamental of making sure that the parts of their cars are not too expensive.Mercedes Benz are providing two years warranty with no limit of distance but the Land Rover are not even near to it.
