All Of A Sudden Extremely Depressed

Why do I suddenly feel extremely depressed for no reason since a few days?

Has there been any major changes (either good or bad) recently? Have you had a disagreement with anyone? If not, it may be because we are approaching the cold, dark winter months. There is actually a form of depression called "seasonal affective disorder" - ironically spells out SAD. I think you should speak to your doctor. He or she needs to rule out anything else that could be causing you to feel like this, such as an issue with your thyroid, a vitamin deficiency, etc. Remember this feeling is temporary, "this too shall pass." If you were to spiral so far down you could harm yourself please IMMEDIATELY get to an emergency room or just dial 911. You are not alone.

Is it normal to be extremely depressed when you finish a TV series?

I finishe the TV series Weeds earlier.. I watched about 4 seasons in 3 days.. I started the series back in May buy I finally finished it this past week.. Now I keep thinking back to the finale episode and getting this empty sick knot in my stomach sad feeling.. This isn't the first time this has happened.. It happened with One Tree Hill, Six Feet Under (this was a terrible depression when I finished it), and other series.. Is it normal to get so depressed? I get too attached to the characters..

All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I feel extreme sadness?

Does this happen often? Many people experience mood swings - it's just hormonal and chemical imbalance, mainly caused by low serotonin levels in the brain. Really though there is no magic cure for it, but if random low moods persist see your doctor and explain what's happening.
This sounds silly but why don't you just let go and cry? A good cry really does make a difference! Then just relax and take it easy for a bit - keep your mind busy, like reading, watching a film or tackling a project or housework. Even going for a run or physical exercise will help! Good luck!

I have no energy, and then sudden extreme bursts of energy?

I am a 16 year old girl. I do have very bad depression, if that is related to this, but what I'm wondering about is this: Almost every night, I get a lot of energy and I just can't relax and fall asleep, so no matter what I am awake until around 2am, sometimes a little earlier, sometimes a lot later. During the day, I am so tired I barely have any energy and don't want to do anything..
Sometimes though, like usually once every few days, I get in these moods where I have TONS of energy. Usually for a while before, like an hour or two, I start to literally feel all my extra energy building up inside. Then it actually like releases into my body and I feel all tingly and just like I can feel it all like vibrating inside of me and I have to get rid of it by talking soooo much, and just acting all weird and stuff. Then it will last for usually a few hours, and then afterwards I usually don't feel that good. I also sometimes come up with the most crazy ideas when I am like that, and I just want to do EVERYTHING and so I guess sometimes I don't really make the best decisions.
Is there anyway I can stabilize my energy levels or something?
Thank you :)

I recently started taking Sumatriptan and now I feel really depressed?

That would be a very weird side effect for this drug, because it acts similarly to antidepressants, such as Prozac and Zoloft, by increasing serotonin levels in your brain. If you took it for many days in a row (which should not be done with sumatriptan) you may be experiencing withdrawal symptoms. Sumatriptan should only be used to treat migraines, not prevent them. If you are taking this drug more than 2 or 3 times per week due to excessive migraines, let your doctor know, and he can put you on something to prevent migraines.
