Why does Google not offer 1 TB storage space like Yahoo! Mail does?
Because Google already has the growth and customers it wanted but Yahoo is in a state of resurrection to bring back customers.I completely agree with Christian's answer below. 1 TB is absurd amount of space to store stuff online even now in the current age when storage is damn cheap.Basically Yahoo is following the same strategy that Microsoft followed with Skydrive / Onedrive.Quoting from wikipedia's OneDrive page,On December 2, 2008, the capacity of an individual SkyDrive account was upgraded from 5 GB to 25 GB25 GB was a huge upgrade then with competitor like Dropbox offering just 2 GB . I’ve abandoned several but for logical reasons - I switched jobs.But I’ve only abandoned one private one and was almost forced to abandoned my second one.My first one was: andrew@unidhp.uni-c.dk - which you may recognize as an university account I was able to acquire around 1990! 1997 I bought our own Rump family domain and moved most of my emails I have received before over to my ISP’s mail server, i.e., I have most of my mail all the way back to 1990!But the morning April 22nd 2002 a spammer almost forced me to abandon my own real private account (as you can read here: Did you receive an unsolicited e-mail (UCE/spam) or a virus from a rump.dk-user?). If it wasn’t for the knowledge and technology I had available at the time I would not have been able to “survive” the flood of email I was receiving.Our domain still receive a ton of spam every day so I do not have the option to move to a small ISP as they cannot take the load but the spam filters are now so good that I don’t really feel the attacks anymore.

After writing dozens of answers about myriad things related to YIF, finally I write this one.I was interviewed on February 24th, 2017 and got the Acceptance Letter today (April 12th, 2017). Had to wait for long but it was all worth it.Good luck to the ones who are waiting to hear from YIF. :)
