All Programs Crash At Random Times.

I have 8GB of RAM and Chrome crashes all the time. How do I fix this?

Very simple! Here is what you need to do.Firstly, Uninstall Chrome. Reinstall it. That fixes many problems at once. Secondly, use any good cleaner program such as CCleaner, and use it to clear all browser history, caches, cookies, databases, and the like, for it can take up much memory. Lastly, uninstall any extensions you are not using currently. Extensions can take up a lot of RAM Memory. And this is very important, unistall any toolbars. They are very annoying. After following this steps, I can guarantee that Chrome will fly with the amount of RAM you have. ;)Good Luck!

When a program crashes in OS X or macOS, what method(s) can be used to determine the root cause?

The application quits, freezes (but clicking on desktop allows other apps to work), or displays a spinning pizza wheel of death?Opening Console in Utilities in Applications folder may help. Maybe not.Checking the website of the application for updates is good.Memory Clean 2 can help diagnose. Memory Clean 2 for MacEtrecheck is a good diagnostic EtreCheck

If you were hired to test a program, how would you try to crash it?

A code tester walks into a bar.Orders a beer.Orders 3 beers.Orders 2147483648 beers.Orders 0 beers.Orders -1 beers.Orders nothing.Orders a bear.Tries to leave without paying. When trying to crash a program, feed it data that is close to its limits: as large as possible, as small as possible, and/or invalid. However, trying to crash a program is not the only thing you should  do when testing it. Often the most important question is whether the output produced by the program is correct. As in the above anecdote, when testing a program, you should do two main things. First, you should verify that it behaves as expected when used in all the expected ways, and second, you should check that it doesn't do bad stuff / crash when used in unexpected ways.

How to force a program to crash?

can you still get into task manager (maybe with control, alt and delete?) See what Applications are running and if it is there end it. If not see what Processes are running and find one that might be that program and right click it with the mouse and end the process.

Does your sims 3 crash in buy mode?

that is EA DRM.
EA's Digital Rights Management currently checks the product code of your game and matches it against the product code EA has. if the codes do not match, the game closes.

with so many players on, the servers that do this are getting bogged down. when connection times out, the DRM check fails, thus the program closes assuming you are a pirate.

usually these checks occure when ever you do general shift (go from play mode to build mode, transition between large lots, or achieve something big. which is where most player expereince them.

simple fix.
unplug your computer from the internet.

[Resolved] Why does my computer crash every time I play a game for more than 5 minutes?

Two likely situations come to mind: One likely answer is that you have an issue with heat. A GPU at idle doesn't produce a great deal of heat, and GPUs run very close to idle doing normal computing tasks (email, web browsing, playing videos.)  When you start to play a game, you put more load on your GPU and it produces more heat. Heat leads to instability and crashes. Check your system for airflow issues, make sure the fans on your GPU are spinning, clear any dust with canned air.  If it isn't heat, the next likely cause that springs to mind is electrical. If you are putting more load on your GPU than your Power Supply can provide in a stable way, it can become a cause of system instability. Make sure your PSU is rated for the load your GPU are putting on the system.  Finally, the stock answer: Double check that you're using the most up to date drivers for your GPU. You'd be amazed what a driver update can resolve.  If none of those things work, let me know and I'm happy to probe further.

World of Warcraft icons messing up and random crashes?

It does sound like your graphics card choice could be an issue. Especially if skins are not loading properly. A few things to do:

() Turn down the graphics settings on WoW. Do this by going into WoW, hitting [esc] and choosing video. Choose all settings that the computer recommends for "increases performance." I ask that you do this because you may be asking your graphics card to perform at levels it was not designed for. This should lighten the load.

() Make sure that all Custom UI mods (Bongos, Cosmos, TitanBar, etc.) are up to date.

() Make sure that your video card drivers are up to date.

() Turn off all background programs that are running and are not necessary.

This should improve performance. If none of these things work, you might try going into your C:/World of Warcraft folder and deleting the file labeled "WTF." It will repopulate itself when you log in again. This will delete all personal settings in WoW, so use with caution. All your characters and etc. will remain in tact.

Good luck to you.

Comicrack crashes every time I use it, Why does this happen?

Every time I open the program or try to read a comic within minutes it crashes and I'm forced to close the program, does anyone know why this happens? Does the program not work on windows 7? And what is another good comic reading program I can use for windows 7?

In OS X (macOS) if a computer is crashing at seemingly random times, how might you collect the necessary information to determine the cause?

This depends on how the computer is crashing. Look for panic logs in /Library/Logs. These will actually tell you what device driver or part of the kernel caused the fault. If it’s a kext that was installed to support a peripheral, you can usually just uninstall it. There are panics from disks or the logical volume manager that indicate disk failure. Then, the computer could crash without a kernel panic for a core hardware problem, such as a memory module failing. There won’t be any kernel panic, the hardware will simply halt, possibly even blank the screen and require the machine to be powered off in order to reboot — in that case you can try to use the built-in diagnostics tool: shutdown the computer, and hold down the ‘D’ key as you reboot (it takes a few minutes to complete). The diagnostics test can detect a handful of hardware faults.
