Alright So I Got In An Accident Last Night There Were Three Cars Involved. Cop Blamed Me And It

Brand new car involved in accident, please help?

You say that you were sure the way was clear but quite obviously it wasn't. Any vehicle in travelled portion of the roadway has right of way and since you were entering the travelled portion of the roadway you were responsible to yield to ALL traffic which you did not. You are at fault here. your insurer might assess some liability to the other driver if there is evidence that the other driver's actions contributed to the accident. Otherwise it's all on you. I doubt if the damage is beyond cosmetic if all the other driver suffered was a minor dent.

Good luck.

Involved in car accident and im not at fault. I have no insurance and my car is totaled, please help? I live CA?

I really hope to find the answer here as ive been on the verge of breaking down. I was involved in a car accident yesterday but im 100% not at fault. here is what happened,

I have been unemployed for the last few months and recently my little sister was diagnosed with diabetes 2 and it has really been a huge financial problem for us as a family. I have been making payments on my 2008 toyota yaris since Aug of 2008 and have had insurance the entire time Ive had the car. Recently I had to help my parents with money so we couldn't afford insurance renewal this month so we had to cancel (May 2nd). I am the older male of the family with the only other car so when my dad is at work i have to help run errands to and fron the hospital. Well yesterday i was coming from the hospital and I was going down the road to come into town and the truck in front of me stopped because of traffic. I slowed down and stopped as well. I noticed in my rear view mirror that the car behind me was still accelerating at a alarming rate and the driver was not focused on the road. The driver then proceeds to crash behind me pushing my car into the front of the truck behind me.... Totaling my car. The driver was a teen girl that was too focused on "Looking for a CD". She had AAA insurance as well as the truck in front of me. She took full blame for the accident and the police officer also wrote in his report that she was the one at fault. The officer then proceeded to take all of our information and asked me what insurance I had. I told him that i havent had insurance for 20 days but i guess he gave me a chance and put down that I had my previous insurance (21st Century). It has only been 24Hrs since the accident and I wont be able to pick up the police report till 7-10 days. I didnt get a chance to take the girls information but she knows that I dont have insurance. Now my car is sitting in a tow yard and I have picked up all of my belongings. Also we got insurance again but it didnt go into effect until May 27 a day AFTER all this has happened. Am I going to be compensated for the car? Im still making payments to Toyota Financial as well and had 15,000 left to go till t was paid off. What is going to happen? Im only 20 years old. Will I be abble to get a new car? I also might have a job soon but now i dont have transportation.....Please help me, somebody with knowledge of this.. Im on the verge of breaking down.. I thank you with all my heart

Car accident: Who do you think is at fault?

Alright, I was driving to work on the 19th and was heading up to an intersection. A little bit before I hit the first line at the intersection, the light turned yellow. I did not have enough space at all to be able to stop, so of course, I went through. The light was still yellow after I crossed the line, but as soon as I got passed the last line into the intersection, a driver in the left turn lane (she wasn't stopped, she was driving up to the turn) and turned right in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and swerved to the left to try to avoid her and ending up saving my car with that tactic. She claimed that she had a green arrow, but that is not at all possible considering that my light was still yellow and didn't turn red until we collided. I hit the the passenger side front bumper of my car diagonally into her back tire and wheel well. The police officer didn't cite either of us and we exchanged insurance and were told that it would be up to our agencies to decide who is at fault.

My question is, who do you think is at fault for this? She is an 80 year old woman, and I am 19. I thought I would add that in there. I have asked a few people and they have said she would mostly be at fault, but they're all people that know me, I figure it would be more helpful if I ask people who don't know me and won't automatically take my side.

There was a hit & run accident at my parked car. The at fault driver came forward. She claimed liability. Now the problem is the impact?

Sometimes it happens that you have a rear-ender in traffic. You're in the middle, you hit the car in front of you, and then someone plows into the back of you. That's two separate accidents. You would be liable for the car in front of you, and the person who hit you from behind is liable for the damage to your car (in the back, not in the front).

That would be different from what happened, a car hitting you in back and driving you into the car in front. In that case, the person behind you is responsible for ALL the damage.

Both these things happen a lot. The insurance companies (all three) just want to be sure what happened. From the way you describe it (you car was parked) you can't be responsible for either of the collisions. They just want your story. WAS the car parked? Was the parking brake set? Were you in the car? Was it running? Was it in gear? Those all might have a bearing.

Before you say anything substantial, you want to get something in writing from the insurance company of the lady that hit you saying she admits liability. (BTW, if she came forward, it's not a hit-and-run.)

In my experience, insurance adjusters tend to be very reasonable, non-judgemental, easy to talk to, and totally happy to answer all your questions. You will want to talk to all three adjusters involved and make sure they're on the same page. (And the police report.)

When do you drive away after a car accident?

Speaking from experience. Any accident that occurs where there is property damage to you or to others I would call the police and wait for as long as it takes with few exceptions. The exceptions are the police are to busy to make it, maybe it is rush hour and the accident is minor enough, there might be some other reason like I'm late to a meeting that is discussing my life or job. even a small accident could cost you a lot of money.
The police will document everything. The police will make it easier to work with your insurance company because they will ask the right questions and help the insurance company determine who is at fault. The other person could be shady or have no insurance and leave you and you insurance company with the entire bill.
The reason I would involve the police is that the other person may have fake insurance, they could be high or drunk, they could deny the claim and say that it was your fault instead of theirs. The other person may have ran the red-light or something else that might have an infraction involved. It might not be their car they may not even have insurance. Any number of thing best to be safe than sorry.

Car accident: who's at fault?

Last night I got into a car accident that totaled my car. I would like an opinion (preferably professional) on who was at fault for the accident.

I was driving down a street preparing to make a left and made a complete stop because the light was red. The street I was driving on was a "T road", meaning the only option I have when the light turns green is to make a left or right. There is no straight and there Is no oncoming traffic. The light turned green and as I proceeded to go straight, I got hit from the driver side by a driver who tried to beat the light. The light was green for a good second and it probably took me another second as I drove straight before I got hit. Meaning the other drivers light was red for a good amount of time. No injuries occurred. Now here is my question, who is at fault? She claimed that her light was still yellow when she got into the middle of the intersection (obviously a lie) so from her point of view, I proceeded to make a left while the light was still red (which is ridiculous). I had a passenger witness that my light was green and hers was red. Is there anyway that she will win this and who do you believe is at fault?

A minor accident!?

I just got into a minor accident. I was slowing down because the car that was in front of me was slowing down because there was potholes and while I was slowing down, and the car behind me hit my vehicle and dented my rear bumper. Luckily no one was injured. And I called the police to report the incident. Police came and gave us the police report number. Then I called my insurance company and filed a claim.

Then we went our ways, After that day I got a call from the guy's insurance company and they said they will take care of it and will fix the bumper. I said ok cool. Insurance company gave me an address which is a automotive collision repair shop. Also they will provide rental car at their expense.

After getting the call I called my insurance and told them all about it. They said okay
and since its his fault they are supposed to take care of the damage. Also told me to let them know if there is any problem.

So my concern is : I bought my NISSAN ROGUE SV 2015 (USED) (30K miles) on MAY 2017. Still has Nissan manufacturer's warranty. So do I have to fix the bumper from certified Nissan repair shop or I can get the repair done from any shop? is it going to void my Nissan warranty?

Thank you for taking the time to read it.
