Alternative Treatments For Melanoma

What are the best alternative treatments for lymphoma?

This might not be what you are looking for...but my friend was diagnosed with cancer a year or so ago,... she did chemo but she ALSO did acupuncture, chi gong, yoga, massage, and took holistic medication. The doctors kept telling her how they couldnt believe how fast she was healing. I know if I was ever diagnosed with a life threatening disease I would definitely follow in her footsteps. Good luck!

Are there any natural treatments for melanoma?

I know that certain religions and belief systems seek natural treatments first. However…Stick with medical best practices (chemo, radiation, etc.). Doctors around the world administer such treatments daily for a reason: they work. When your health is on the line, go for the best option to return you to good health. Statistics and science are overwhelmingly compelling.

Are there any non-invasive experimental treatments for pre-and early melanoma? If so, what are they?

I heard of a very intersting one yesterdayThe MD Anderson Cancer Hospitalrealized that patients who did immunotherapy before surgerysurvived longer and had less reoccurence than patientswho did surgery first with an option of immunotherapy. It seemed to be that being able to target the melanoma first withimmunotherapy helped patients more.Other than that , supplements like turmeric or fermented turmericand vitamin C would be helpful.

Which drugs are available for treating metastatic melanoma?

This is an excellent question for your Medical Oncologist!!Understand that we Strangers on the internet do not KNOW you, your clinical history, the medications you're currently taking, nor your comorbidities, ALL of which can affect your treatment options. To boot, only the Medical Oncologists you actually consult are licensed to administer certain chemotherapy drugs. Now you know to whom you should direct your question. It's no one here.

How do I tell if I have melanoma?

I have several moles across my body, mostly behind my shoulders and on my arms. Many of them are atypical, having unusual shape and pigmentation, but are benign. One mole on my neck is really misshapen and itches often. It's not the diameter of a pencil eraser and the color is pretty uniform, but it's slightly raised. I've been applying hydrogen peroxide 3% often as I've read it can be used as an alternative cure to melanoma and the mole (and only the mole) stings like crazy when I soak it in the HP. I've tried this on my other moles and they don't sting. Is the stinging a sign that the mole is melanoma or is it just a reaction from prolonged exposure of the hydrogen peroxide?
