Alternative Ways To Align A Tooth Without Braces Or Invasalign

What are some good alternatives to braces?

The orthodontist says that I have an overbite, but it's not noticeable at all unless I bite down completely. My parents are making me get some sort of treatment, and I've got a great dental plan, and I absolutely abhor braces. What are some good alternatives that can fix overbite? Surgeries, too.

Is there an alternative to braces other than veneers or invisalign?

Unfortunately no. Invisilign is only meant for the very minimal of straightening of the teeth and as far as the venners go. It all depends on who does your veneers. I have 4 of them in the front and they are beautiful and I have had them for about 6 years and ahve never had a problem with them. They are much easier to care for than braces and depending on how many you need could be much cheaper, but I wouldn't let a dentist in Iraq do them no offense to anyone. My husband is a D.D.S. here in California and he specializes in cosmetic dentistry etc. He did my veneers and a whole lot of full mouth reconstruction cases and all of our patients have been thrilled with them. If you ever make it back to the states and can wait to have them done , I would seriously consider looking him up. We have had people all the way from England fly in to have their work done by him. Look him up and you can even email him for further dental questions. www.lafrom.com Hope this helps!

Is there any other way to align teeth without braces? Will pushing teeth in a certain direction help to align them?

I would say it is not exactly the way the tooth moves .In certain cases where there is very minimal discrepancy in teeth alignment while the person is in growing period that is before he reaches puberty It is possible. One tooth crossbiteIn these kind of cases when pressure applied repeatedly with icecream stick it may correct the alignment. It is not possible otherwise as far as I know.Otherwise if you do not want to get braces because it can hamper your appearance now a days you can opt for Invisalign. It does cost more than other treatment.InvisalignIf there is very minimal spaces between your teeth or discrepancy in alignment you can get it cosmetically treatment ; meaning you can get vineers done. This may require slight reduction of your teeth and than placement of the vineers that is like very thin crowns. You can see in image below…Dental vineersCase 1: treated using vineers.Case 2: treated using vineersThese are some options I can think of if you are very reluctant to get the braces treatment. It is advisable to discuss the options best for your perticular case with your dentist or orthodontist.I hope this gives some insight into the various treatments and help you choose the best.Image source : Google imagesThank you

How can I align my teeth without using braces?

No need to apologize, and TBH dentists on here have all seen much worse.First, remember that straightening your teeth is the final step of treatment, to be done usually on teeth that are healthy. It’s akin to painting your house— There’s no point if the house is currently being weakened by rising flood water in the basement or destroyed by termites. Take care of more pressing matters first.Even from the blurry photo I can tell that you have other dental needs that must be addressed before you get any type of teeth straightening devices, starting with a good cleaning. This is NOT a mere money making trick, and I hope you will take the dental advice on Quora. Two more things to think about:Your upper teeth also needs to be straightened, so don’t think only your lower teeth need work. There is a type of braces, rarely done in the US, that is placed on the side of the teeth facing the tongue, so it’s not visible when you smile and talk. If you’re concerned about the appearance of braces you can look for an orthodontist who do “lingual braces.”

What are some alternative solutions to braces, for teeth gaps?

I had gaps in my teeth too. They were straight ... just gapped, but not badly. I had to wear braces for about a year and now they are gorgeous. You could also be a candidate for Invisalign, but it's way more expensive than braces and your dental insurance may not cover it. Also, as my ortho explained to me, braces will re-align your teeth and your bite whereas Invisalign will do nothing for your bite. You should get an orthodontic consultation. Most don't charge for a consultation. They'll examine you and then lay out all your options for you.
