Alternatives to a Razor Blade?
Please help! I don't know any stores around where I live sell razor blades, and if they did I most likely wouldn't be able to by one ( And no, I do not cut myself!!!) Well anyways, I was wondering if there are any house hold/store bought items that can be an alternative to that? House hold items are preferable though. My friend said a razor blade from an actual shaving razor will work, but I only want the razor, not anything else. Please help me out! You can get wax just about everywhere, but if you're just curious which I'm guessing is the case, you may be able to use a soft candle. Candles are made of a harder wax, therefore they won't give you any grip. Surf wax is a special substance that contains beeswax and coconut oil (hence the coconut scent). Also, if you're using a skimboard, you don't need to put wax on the bottom of your board to make it slide, it slides by itself, wooden or not. If you don't live near a surf shop, there are plenty of online retailers that sell wax for like $2. My guess is you need it fast and want to have some makeshift wax for a sesh. If you have beeswax and coconut oil laying around, you should be all set. Now go shred the gnar brahhhhhh
What household items can I use as an alternative to expensive weight training equipment to work out at home?
There are a bunch of thjngs you can use: fill paint pales (the big white ones) with sand and use them for farmer carries or bear hugs; I flip a tractor tire around the backyard; I hit said tire with a heavy sledge, alternating hands; you can attach a rope to the tire and pull it (place kid(s) on it to increase difficulty); I have sandbags for my truck for winter driving--you can borrow these and complete dozens of sandbag movements. I use playground equipment and the uprights at local parks for pull up and climbing work. Bring a towel and do towel pull ups using the uprights. If you have steps somewhere you can do running switches or even just wear a weighted vest and walk up and down.Then there are all the bodyweight exercises you can complete without any equipment at all, e.g. push ups, lunges, squats.
