Alton Towers Vs Disneyland Paris

ALTON TOWERS vs DISNEYLAND PARIS?

Depends what you want to go for, if you're interested in the whole Disney experience (like parades and stuff) or if you're with a young child, then Disneyland is better, but if you're just going for the rides then Alton Towers is WAY better

Economic advantages of Disneyland Paris ?

Paris' economy is strongly based on international tourism, and having a Disneyland there would further the industry in the city there. This could also be viewed as a disadvantage if the city wishes to break away from it's tourist affiliation.

Is 6 hours enough time to spend in Disneyland Paris?

if you're going with young children then they might get tired quite soon so 6 hours is about right, but if your going with older children or no children i think it might not be enough!
hope i help!

Is it worth going to Disneyland Paris for the prices they charge for the hotels and tickets?

Disneyland Paris is like a McDonald’s Happy Meal. Lots of fancy packaging, cheap toys and shit food. But have you ever asked a child of a certain age if they want a happy meal and seen their little face turn ecstatic? Sickening I know but what can you do.Now personally I would take my nieces/nephews to half a dozen other places before I’d take them to Disneyland Paris. Universal Studios Salou, Spain. Legoland, Denmark, Alton Towers, England, Efteling, the Netherlands. If they are older and more into rides and stuff then most of those are actually better. But for kids of a certain age, the D-word has the same magical effect as the M-word.

If you could go to any Disney theme park, which one would it be?

This question is a broad stroke but I would go to all the parks I haven’t been to which are all the foreign parks and Disney California. Each park is unique and I would love to explore them. But assuming I have been to all and novelty is not an issue I would choose Walt Disney World and EPCOT in particular. One, the World has 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, mini golf, golf, water sports, a large variety of hotels. oh and shopping at Disney Springs. Two as an adult I enjoy the shopping, dining and atmosphere at EPCOT. I can visit a miniature, ultra-clean, let us show you our best version of diverse cultures. Yes the real thing is better but most of us do not have a budget to travel like that and if Norway Pavilion is an example of visiting that country than you are getting a realistic synopsis of that country. I have traveled to Bergen and Oslo and southern Norway, and while the actual country is more spectacular, the pavilion reminded me of Bergen pier area and driving through the countryside plus the troll in the gift shop looks like the one at the top of the tram in Bergen. I also got the same vibe in Canada, another country I have traveled briefly.I am hoping that Future World will start demoing AI, robotics and other tech advances that we will use in the future like they did previously. But the area is still informative and the rides are relaxing.

Why doesn't the Walt Disney Company choose to build Disney Theme Park in New York or London?

If we're referring to theme parks, the answer's relatively simple:  the amount of land necessary to build Disney-style parks would be prohibitively expensive in either of those metropolitan areas.  Also, the climate is undesirable in both cases.Keep in mind that before Disney came to Anaheim, it was a sleepy farming town with acres upon acres of orange groves:(Image courtesy of Art, Photography, and a Disneyland Photo History)So land was cheap!  In fact, once Disneyland was built and became popular, developers quickly capitalized on the land around the park, building cheap motels and other commercial enterprises that Walt Disney himself hated.  He felt they harmed the idealized experience that Disneyland sought to provide to its guests. So when building Walt Disney World, the company had to use shell corporations operating in secret to buy up all of the necessary land (eventually totaling about 43 square miles).  Again, if anyone had gotten word that Disney was coming, they'd have bid up land prices, making it difficult for the company to get there.  And that's the problem with those two cities:  New York and London are among the most expensive real estate markets in the world, making that kind of massive development impossible.  Never mind the weather problem:  Disney parks are open 365 days a year, which is only really possible in sunny climates like Southern California and Central Florida.  Can you imagine trying to get people to ride Splash Mountain during a New York winter?  While I suppose it would be possible to build somewhere outside the cities, as was done at Disneyland Paris (approximately 20 miles east of Paris itself), I'm guessing that the weather stalled any of that kind of talk.

Why is the ride Rita queen of speed called that at Alton Towers?

Yeah, it's from "Alton Towers Intamin Rocket".

Intamin is the design/manufacture company which created Rita. The 'rocket' part is pretty obvious, but it's because the type of ride is sometimes called a Rocket Coaster (has a hydraulic launch system).

Which ride is faster? Rita at Alton Towers or Stealth at Thorpe Park?

Stealth- 80 mph

Rite- 61.1mph

Going to Alton Towers but Terrified of Upside-Down Rides?

So, I am going to Alton Towers Theme Park in May with my school and my friends. We aren't allowed to go by ourselves for even a minute, but all my friends really like rollercoasters. I am ok as long as it doesn't go upside-down. But most of the rides at Alton Towers do go upside down.
Now, I have never been on an upside-down one because I crap myself looking at them. I have this irrational fear of falling out which I know is really stupid but I can't shake it. And I'm scared of being ill and actually throwing up with fear and being upside down.

Has anyone got any suggestions of what I can do to conquer my fears?
What rides at Alton Towers could I go with my fears?
Can you give me your own experiences?
What happens on some of the rides? Is it really bad?

Thanks to everyone who helps me? I really need help because I am terrified of being upside down on rollercoasters????????
