Am Experiencing Pain In My Right Wrist My Palm And Fingers. It

Right hand pain affecting pinky and ring finger, what is it and how do I stop the pain?

I was going to say tight tendons in your wrist which you can free up to get rid of the pain. Here's how to do that:
Wrist:
With hand resting in front of you with the palm up, bend your wrist as far as you can.. Then press into the area behind the wrist, where they take your pulse, and hold a good amount of pressure on it. After 30 seconds slowly open your wrist up as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your wrist open for another 30 seconds.
But when you said it's worse in the mornings that makes it sound like it's a trapped nerve in your back pressing on the nerves going to your arm to cause that pain. When you lay down it changes the pressure points that are being pressed to give you more pressure on the nerves to make the problem worse. For that reason I think it's the tight back muscles and here's how to free them up to get rid of that pain:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side. for both- for best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed. Because they are both good guesses I sent them both along trying to make sure you have the right one.

Wrist pain, numb finger tips?

I believed I had Carpal tunnel syndrome because when I was writing i would get a shooting pain up and down ONLY my wrist area, and when on the computer when my right hand was using the mouse and resting on the desk at the same time, my wrist hurt too much to have any pressure on it.

I no longer get flaring/shooting pain in my wrist, but I also have this now;
The tip of my thumb, pointer finger, and middle finger on my right hand are numb, my thumb is the most numb.

When I write, I feel a lot of tension in my wrist, so I fear i may have pinched a nerve which is why my fingers are numb and why i no longer get the pain in my wrist. I also feel tension going up and down my palm where my pinky finger is sort of on the side of my hand, i feel like my pinky is trying to push my ring finger.

I am having pain in my right ring finger, going in my hand, what could it be?

It could be many things. Normally when one of my fingers just randomly start hurting it’s because I pushed/bent it a little to far or a muscle spasm. If it continues to hurt just go to your doctor. They will definitely have a better answer.

Why is my right hand last two fingers tingling and pain in my wrist to my elbow, this has been going on for 2 weeks, pinched nerve?

You've probably heard of carpal tunnel syndrome. When it's specifically the last two fingers that are affected in the same way – pain, tingling, numbness, weakness – it's cubital tunnel syndrome that should be considered. This is when the ulnar nerve is involved rather than the median nerve, which affects the thumb, index and middle fingers. You should seek medical advice on this, but my guess is that it's to do with your ulnar nerve – irritation, compression or entrapment.Possibly you also have some tension or muscle strain in your neck and shoulder on the corresponding side. Try massaging those areas and see if you can find any particularly painful spots. Knead and apply pressure and see if you feel some relief in your forearm. If so, you might want to consider therapeutic massage and trying to reduce stress. Poor posture can also cause neck and shoulder strain that can refer to your forearm. If it's too painful to massage, definitely see a doctor for investigation of injury or damage.I'm not a medical professional and this answer should not be considered in any way a medical opinion.

Stabbing pain in my wrist?

Carpal tunnel is the most likely culprit, but you say you have ruled it out.

Hmm

No trauma. Okay, the two other things that come to mind are Intersection syndrome and de Quervain's Synovitis. Gimme a sec, I'll get you a link.

For de Quervains:

It's a bit wordy for the layman, but is 100% latest word on the topic. I noted when reading the article a reference to volar flexor tenosynovitis, which also could cause this.

For intersection syndrome:

Note the drawing in the middle of the page here, if the pain location matches your own, we have a winner.

In the meantime, try some conservative measures. Take aspirin or Motrin, reduce activitie that cause the pain, maybe get a wrist brace. If this fails, see a doctor.

EDIT: ps, it could still be Carpal Tunnel, but even so, the course of action I recommend is a good conservative approach as well. Good luck

Why do my wrist and fingers hurt while going from G to C chord on guitar?

First off I concur with Brett Gildersleeve. Do not play through the pain. This kind of thing usually indicates a strain on tendons and ligaments, and you have to work to strengthen your hand. However here are some things I have discovered regarding this and other guitar related afflictions. First off, not everyone is blessed with balanced strength in their arms, but you can get this if you work at it. The root of everything happening when your play guitar is the fingers, thumb and wrist, followed by elbow and shoulder. Position really matters. Ask yourself if, when you play your thumb is lightly touching the back of the neck, or if it is squeezing. If it is pressing too hard, there is the source of much pain, and the remedy is to increase your finger strength so you do not have to squeeze to hold the strings down.To strengthen the fingers, I recommend squeezing a rubber ball, using the fingers and not the thumb. Press it with the fingers against the center of the palm. Here is an isometric which helps. Place your two hands together, fingertips to finger tips, as if you were hold an invisible ball. Now press, but maintain the spherical shape. Don't let your fingers collapse, let them stay outwardly arched.Since you are pointing to the G and C, and of course depending on how you are fingering them, my guess is your third finger (ring finger needs strengthening. Make a circle with it and your thumb and press... make sure the finger again doesn't collapse... keep the circle. Do these exercises often during the day.On the guitar side of the issue, check to see if your action is too high and can be improved. Easier action is often the remedy here.Good luck and don't get discouraged.

I left my hair tie on my wrist overnight?

Hi Rob,

I would recommend you stand and do some light exercise, such as stretching your muscles, arms etc. then try massage therapy on your affected areas.

Hot and cold packs on the areas can help too! Keep switching between hot and cold on the affected areas of your hand when you put a hot pack on the area, the blood rushes to the skin and feeds it. Then when you immediately put on the cold, the blood rushes to the internal organs. You shiver, but what is happening is that your blood is flushing out your skin and leaving it oxygenated

I hope I helped! Good luck!

Pain and weakness in my wrist, pain radiates up to ring and pinky fingers?

For the last couple weeks every now and then I experience a very sharp, shooting type pain in my right wrist. The pain is located on the right side of my hand(where the ring and pinky finger are). The type of pain is only caused by certain movements, like rolling my wrist, drinking from a glass with a handle or pouring milk from a milk container(again with a handle) are some of the instances this happens.

The pain is causing quite a bit of weakness in my hand and once the pain happens I can barely hold onto the object I'm using. The pain also seems to be on the side of my hand and the top of the hand only(I haven't had pain on the palm side of my hand). The pain also stops right at the knuckles of my ring and pinky fingers.

I've read a little bit about this and it seems like it could either be Carpel Tunnel Syndrome or Guyon's Canal Syndrome(ulnar nerve). It's not easy for me to stop the repetitive acts that are probably causing it since I work with computers all day, every day. I have taken some of the steps like taking ibuprofen(I swear this stuff doesn't work! lol) and icing it, but it doesn't alleviate any of the pain.

Does this problem sound like Guyon's or Carpel Tunnel? Thanks!
