How do I stop feeling that I am a criminal?

When we do something against the social norms, violate the rules of our constitutional law and do a punishable offence ...that's called a crime.Whatever you did in your past is a fraud, comes under criminal and economic offence. Its a cognisable offence according to Indian Penal Code and punishable in court of law.But your conscience feel you realize that you have made a mistake. No way to change the past.Don't make yourself desperate by thinking future.Have confidence to face the tomorrow. You can think a solution, only when the time will come.May be it will never come to anyones notice and knowledge.Don't discuss it with anybody. We are humans, we do wrong things knowingly or unknowingly.Do your duty to achieve a bright future.Save an amount to face any awkward situation....in future. If your fraud detected in future, you should have enough money to repay it with interest and for the expenses of legal procedures.Need not to be worried from now.Try to overcome the anxiety and don't repeat the mistake again. There is a super power called God, who has the control over our fate. Think out a plan to defend yourself, when time will come.

Will a dismissed CPS case show up on a criminal background check?- Please help!?

I am currently enrolled to be a teacher, and they asked for a background check. I am good except 3 years ago CPS was called on me for false allegations pending a divorce. Both cases were dismissed. I never had to go to court, but I did take my daughter to couseling on my own free will and once CPS saw me do this they dismissed the case due the counselor finding nothing wrong.
I am a good person and a good mom. I just want to make sure these "false claims" won't hurt me in my persuit to be a teacher. - TEXAS State

Is it a bad thing if your criminal lawyer is annoyed by every word you say or write?

I think if your lawyer is annoyed by everything you say or write, that isn't great. It sounds like a problematic relationship. However, you are assuming that he is annoyed by everything you say or write. Some lawyers are just brusque by nature, and he may be one such. If you are concerned about your relationship, my suggestion is that you ask your lawyer about it. If you are providing useful input, he should welcome it. If you are providing non-useful input, that could be irritating or annoying. I would say, therefore, it depends on what kind of input you are offering. I am not a criminal lawyer, but I do defend lawyers who are accused of violating ethical rules. I very much welcome their input. I would become frustrated by a client who failed to be forthcoming with me, didn't provide the documents I asked for, etc. In other words, by someone who made it more difficult to represent her than was necessary. In the end, the only person this really hurts is the client, who ends up with a larger bill, and potentially, not as good an outcome. I am not saying this is you, please understand. I am giving an example of what would cause me to be frustrated. A client who gives useful input to me is a good client.Good communication and trust between lawyer and client is critical.

Murder is already illegal. Why would a criminal intent on shooting somebody, not care about the law against murder, but care about the law against prohibited firearms? How do pro-gun-control people counter this argument?

You know what would make preventing murders much easier? If people were to walk up to other people, especially people they didn’t already know, and tell them that they were planning to commit murder. And they were to then walk around carrying something that by its mere presence said unambiguously “I am a dangerous criminal. Please put me away - here is an open and shut case you can put me away for before I have actually committed the murder.”You think no criminal would be stupid enough to walk round carrying something that by its mere presence says to even the most blind and senile cop “I am a dangerous criminal. Please put me away and here is all the proof you need.” This is why most criminals in Britain do not carry guns - it makes them almost as identifiable as a bad guy as someone wearing a black hat in a Western while at the same time being sufficient cause on its own to put them away. You think that no would be murderer would be stupid enough to walk up to other people they didn’t already know and tell them they were planning to commit murder, and ask them to help? How otherwise do they get the gun - does it spontaneously materialise from thin air? Or do they instead talk about it to someone who talks to someone who has them introduced to the person they can buy guns from? Please, if you’re planning to commit murder I encourage you to talk about it in advance, especially to people who aren’t close friends of yours. Especially when one of them may well be an undercover cop.Essentially for a murderer in Britain to get a gun they need to be both confident and skilled enough to navigate the criminal underworld to get one, confident to take the highly incriminating thing to the crime scene and then dispose of it afterwards. Gun murder can’t be a crime of passion - instead it is roughly as difficult as hiring a hitman and leaves more incriminating evidence. What proportion of murderers do you think are stupid enough to (a) carry obvious incriminating evidence of premeditation around with them and (b) to discuss their planned murder with strangers in advance? Sure, this doesn’t entirely stop (a) professional hitmen who already need to talk about what they are going to do or (b) young and stupid gang members to whom bragging is part of the point - although it will make it harder for them to get guns because the suppliers don’t want people to talk and those jackasses will get picked up.
