Am I A Good Weight For A 14 Year Old

At 14 years old, about 6'0 170 pounds, what is a good weight for dumbbell bench press? I currently do 60's for 6 reps, 65's for 1-2. How does this compare to other people my age (that lift)?

I am not answering your question directly, however, I am hopeful that the answer may still help you. At 14 years of age, a human body is still going through major growth - using weights (especially very heavy ones) may inhibit its natural growth pattern and may also put its owner (you) at higher chance of injury. Unless you are training under supervision and with some serious athletic goal in mind, you may be better off replacing weighted exercises with body weight types. The problem with focusing solely on weights and particular exercises is that you can easily create muscle imbalances which later lead to problems. Also, it is too easy to focus on "vanity" muscles (those that you see in the mirror) and disregard the opposing muscle groups. For example, doing bench press but not doing the equal amount of exercise for your back. For a healthy body one must think of the body as a whole. At your age I would suggest you start with building small muscles first. They  will protect your joints from injuries and allow you to ultimately lift heavier weights. Spend time strengthening small muscles in your shoulders, hips, knees and ankles. Get your core very strong. Also, at 14 you have a window of opportunity to train your body to be fast - run sprints and do drills for  your glutes, hamstrings and quads. Finally, check on calisthenics exercises - this will help you build healthy body using nothing but your body weight.  Here is a nice compilation if you are interested Calisthenicmovement

Is 142 pounds a good weigh for a 14 year old?

it's good weight but only if you feel good in your body... you don't need to go crazy using some weird weight loss products.. but if you start with some outdoor exercise and stop eating trash, it is a good way to loose some unneeded weight and help will make you feel better... not to mention you might have a lot of fun...

How much should a 14 year old, 5'3" girl weigh?

A healthy BMI is between 18.5 and 24.9.

You should weight atleast 105lbs (bmi=18.6) or at most 140lbs (bmi=24.8)

That weight range will change as you grow, if you grow any more (you have the potential to grow until age 16).

I could not calculate EXACTLY the bmi to pound conversion for 18.5 bmi and 24.9.

However, 104 pounds would be BELOW 18.5 (therefore you would be underweight) and 141 pounds would be ABOVE 29.4 (therefore you would be overweight).

At your present weight of 125 lbs, you're at nearly perfect middle ground, according to BMI calculation and your healthy weight range of 105-140lbs.

Note: if your country uses kilograms, your healthy weight is between 47.6kg and 63.5kg

What is the average weight for a 14-year-old boy?

If you’re 64.5 inches (5.375 feet) tall, then the average weight is 112 pounds. The ratio of weight to height is approximately 1.75 , so on average, for every inch tall a 14-year-old boy is, they should way 1.75 pounds. Now that I’ve answered your question, let me give you some advice. Don’t worry about your weight, unless you’re below 6′, aren’t muscular, and weigh upwards of 140 pounds. If you match that description, talk to your doctor. However, if you don’t match that description, do not worry about your weight. Most people truly don’t care too much about other people, because they’re busy worrying and caring about themselves. I’m a 13 year old boy, and it’s pretty hard for me to remember that and not worry about what other people think of me. However, when I do, I’m usually glad.8/10 times, when someone who is not your friend worries or judges you for your weight, they’re not worth your time or care. This goes for most things people are judged on in life.If you’re very scrawny and weigh below 70 pounds, you should talk to your doctor. However, if you’re asking this because you weigh 125 pounds and you’re worried you’re fat, stop worrying. You’ll grow into that fat, and if you exercise and eat healthy (notice I said eat healthy, not starve yourself), you’ll lose weight. If you’re asking this because you weigh 95 pounds and are worried you’re ugly, eat more, and eat more protein and drink more milk. You’ll put on bulk fast, and if you exercise a lot, you’ll put on muscle too.If you skipped past my advice, fine. I respect that; that’s why I gave you an answer, and put it at at the top of my answer. But if you made it this far, thanks, and please, please, remember: The secret to happiness is trying hard and not giving a shit if you fail.

How much should a 6'3, 14 year old boy weigh?

I'm comparing my and my friend's sizes, and you guys tell me what (in your own opinion) is a better build.

Alright, im 6'3, im 14 years old, and i was 5'8 when i was 11-12, and went from skinny (130) To average -150. Since i have gained 7 inches in height from 13-14, I am 195 pounds. I've got lots of leg muscle, if that helps at all? My arms are average, have some (im working on a 6 pack)-Im maybe 65% there?
-Liam
Alright, i'm 6'3, Im 14 years old, and I wear a size 33 waist, 36 leg pant, wear a mens "large-slim fit" t-shirt.
I'm about 170 pounds, and i look slender, but im not one of those lanky kids who are anorexic.
-Jessie

Alright, who (jessie, or me) is a better build overall?

14 years old and i weigh 124 pounds?

You are fine and you are still growing. Make sure you eat nutritiously. Drink plenty of water. Walk. walk, walk. Begin a weight lifting program if you are interested .... a beginner can start at home using ordinary household items for weights (cans of soup, for example). Start swimming. Eat less junk food and drink less soda.
