Why do salt n vinegar crisps make my botton lip go pale?
mine does that! i like to press my lips and suck off the flavouring, its brilliant when theres a lot of flavouring powder on the pringle, and it makes your lips almost white! salt n viegar discos are another ones that do it :) x

Wow, youve gotten some fantastic answers so far! To me it seems like its 1 of 3 things... 1. Allergies. But if you had the chips before then this probably isnt the case. 2. When you are pregnant things change that you would never focus on. I couldnt eat any type of pork my entire pregnancy or I would get so dizzy, and I even passed out from the smell of bacon twice. Oddly, my boyfriend (the man who impregnated me) was illergic to pork. Crazy how that works! 3. I would probably say your best bet is its your taste buds. Are there little bumps all over he back of your tongue? If so, those are irritated taste buds. Do you know those candies caled Cry Babies? I ate 2 big boxes one days and definately regreted it in the morning. Sucking sour candies irritated my taste buds and I couldnt eat anything but cold stuff for two days. I tried having chili for dinner one of those days and felt like my tongue was going to fall off. it was also, nearly impossible to swallow. I hope this helps. Am i allergic to salt and vinegar pringles?
Well, everytime i have had salt and vinegar crisps my lips have turned white and sore, i havent had salt and vinegar pringles for a while even though they are my favourite flavour! So i had them today and almost immediately after eating a few my lips swollen up twice the size, bigger in some parts so it felt like a bubble in my lip. What could've possibly caused this??

I'm only 16 and I've eaten them before when I was younger without a problem. I know I'm not allergic. However I do have high blood pressure (I've been diagnosed about a year ago) but I'm on medication to control it. My doctor did tell me to try to avoid foods high in sodium but according to the bag I only ate 1 serving which has around 200 mg. I ate them about 10 minutes ago and since then I've had really bad chest pains where it hurts to breathe. I ate them last week and the same happened but I wasn't sure what it was from so I ignored it. I'm definitely not eating them again. I just want to know what this could be?????

Because the acid in the coating on the chips has burned the top few layers of cells on your tongue and in most of your mouth.Expect it to peel profusely within the next day or two

Her tummy might get upset, but there's nothing in there that is toxic or poisonous. Any changes to diet, especially things that are greasy, have lots of artificial perservatives and flavors, and are very salty, can cause an upset tummy. If she throws up or has diarrhea, call your vet for advice.

Salt absorbs liquids and other particles. So if you eat alot of chips that contain salt , they are going to absorb the moisture in your mouth . :) And with the moisture depleting , your mouth gets dry , and then start to loose color ? :"D
Are Pringles okay for my cat to eat?
I laughed when I read this question, because we also have a cat, Maizie, who goes absolutely nuts for Pringles. When I was pregnant with my first child, I craved Pringles like no one's business. (I smashed them up & added them to a peanut butter & jelly sandwich - YUM!) And every single time Maizie heard or smelled that can, she would FREAK OUT. I'm all about 'all things in moderation', so yeah, I crumble up 2-3 chips at a time for Maizie. She purrs the entire time she's eating them, and when she's done with what I give her, she backs off & doesn't beg for more. And since I buy maybe four cans of Pringles a year (because I know just how horrible they really are for you), I figure, heck, they don't seem to harm her, she doesn't get diarrhea from them, and she loves them soooo much, well, why not let her indulge a bit as well? Maizie is also pretty thin, just turned 14, has been eating Pringles periodically now for 12 years, and at her last vet check-up, she was deemed very healthy. I really don't see the harm in letting your cat indulge herself every now and then. YES, they are salty, YES, they are fatty. But again, moderation, right?! By the way, Maizie is the cat in my picture. ☺

It's the combination of salt and vinegar that are making your tongue hurt. Vinegar is astringent and strong, and salt can sometimes cause inflammation. The two together can cause discomfort all over your mouth - happens to me also. While this is temporary, it can still be a pain the (_|_). Drink milk, a milkshake, or something cold and neutralizing to acid and salt. This should help!
