Am I Any Good At Drawing Help No Rude Answers

Is it rude to suggest edits on the answers of people you do not follow or who do not follow you especially if there's a grammatical error in the answer?

I don’t think it’s ever rude to try and correct something in a Quora answer that you hope to help improve!I have had so few suggested edits that I wonder if I’m doing something wrong.Because there have been egregious crimes of misquotes, misspellings, and horrific grammatical offenses in many of my answers.I find the spelling mistakes the most embarrassing.I type most of my answers into my phone or ipad. I know.Yes, it’s not the best method. But it’s when I have the time, and it tends to limit my intense problem with excessive verbosity. So the fact is, I spend as much time editing as I do writing the answers. And if anyone is willing to suggest edits, I would be so grateful! And someone just suggested an accuracy edit regarding the quote about “Guests and fish tend to stink after three days” which I wrote from memory, and attributed to Oscar Wilde, and they corrected me and it seems much more likely to have been a quote from Benjamin Franklin! And I greatly appreciate this. Thank you, kind person.I will update rest of answer, including photograph, if needed. I suspect that the confusion comes from the fact that Wilde liked to say it, and knew that it was Franklin’s quote. I mean the confusion on the internet. I was probably just plain WRONG. And when I am wrong, I have absolutely no problem with that. I do, however, count on all of you, as my friends, to correct me. And please do.Edit: Quorans don’t leave their fellow Quorans with their metaphorical rear ends hanging out there, like some bad Chaucerian farce! In theory, let’s hope that we see more and more Quorans willing to edit these small mistakes in otherwise well-written answers and questions, and that all of us will be happy to have this help! I wish I could highlight this particular paragraph in a friendly highlighter yellow.(edited: Hey, I sure do wish that somebody had suggested that I fix that horrible error above instead of letting me catch it days later, because I feel kind of silly saying I’m a cum laude in English Letter-ature, when I’m so ill-letter-ate. Help a friend out, won’t ya?)At any rate, I wish there were more editing suggestions for me. I would be more willing to suggest the typo corrects that I see if I had the same from you all.Nothing wrong in accepting help from fellow Quorans, whether followers or not followers makes no difference to me at all. I will take any help I can get, and gratefully!

HELP!!!..Is It Really ME who are attracting rude mean selfish People?

the law of attraction says you attract the same energy you give out, and I seem to always attract rude mean and insensitive people, of course I attract nice people too, but I meet rude poeple all the time.

I try to be nice, and I would say I am a nice polite person, but I am sure I am guilty of being rude at times, but never on intention, only when I am mad pissed, which is rare.

but am I attracting people like this because of my energy and I am really a bad person deep down? I am mostly nice and polite, but do I attract these people because of Me?

**decent answers please please..

Math homeworkk Help Please! I will give ten points to best answer!?

This is the hardest class that i have and i am no good at box and whisker plots! Please help me! I will take any answer as long as it is helping me and it is not rude! Thanks, here is the assignment.

Directions: Read the paragraph and then follow the instructions to make a box and whisker plot.

The city of Rockford installed a machine on Harlem Blvd. to record the speed of car drivers. The posted speed limit was 35 MPH. Twelve cars drove on Harlem Blvd. between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM. The machine recorded their speeds:

30, 45, 40, 37, 37, 40, 42, 38, 37, 42, 43, 38

Make a line plot of the data set.
Find the median of the data set. Draw a vertical line through the median point on your line plot. The values to the left (or less than) the median are located in the lower quartile. The values to the right (or greater than) the median are located in the upper quartile.
Now, find the medians of the lower quartile and the upper quartile. Finding the quartile medians is done the same way as finding the median of the data. List the numbers in ranked order and locate the number in the middle.
Once you have found the medians for the quartiles, draw vertical lines through them.
You now have three vertical lines. Connect the lines that mark the quartile medians by drawing two horizontal lines. This completes the box.
Finally, draw lines from the end of the box to any data values that lie outside the box. These lines are called "whiskers."

Is it rude to say "You're not welcome" in reply to "Thank you"?

Well, quite a story. When I was in one of my college classes, the seats were set up in aisles like any other HS classroom because it is a little small. The teachers are supposed to pass back papers for the students before every single exam. He counted enough so that everyone can get one. Just when I got the paper from the guy in front of me, I said thank you. His immediate reply was "You're not welcome". I wasn't offended but I thought it was a little strange for someone to turn the back hand at the person who offers their gratitude. He didn't say it was a joke but if it is I didn't find it humorous. It's like when people offer you a gift, you don't just knock it off from their hand and say "Oh, it's a joke!". It's a little rude to me but that's only in my point of view. The funny thing is that I knew this guy very well. He migrated to the U.S years ago and I was given tasks to help him out (7th grade). He wasn't so friendly because he got into a lot of trouble with the people in the classroom including the teacher. It wouldn't use the word "jerk" for him, that would be kinda mean. Anyways, I would always be there to get him out of trouble and I tried my best not to turn on him like everybody else because it might make him feel hated especially when he is new. Well, now he's gotten worst and began turning on me. I don't know but usually where I am from, you can get your a** kicked for saying that, joke or no joke. So what do you guys think? Btw my reply to him was "Ok". Didn't want to make it worst.

If I am bad at drawing, is it right to opt for civil/mechanical engineering?

You should not. Maybe I'm being rude, but it's the truth that one mechanical or civil engineer must have drawing skills a little bit.We mechanical engineers are trained to built new designs. And each of the process we must generate drawings of what we are thinking about. It's the major part of communication for design engineers. Now, if one person have drawing skills, he got tidiness and respect for art. Untidy drawings are useless for engineering communication. Next, the most important for today's engineering is CAD drawing. We use various modeling software to visualize our object of thought and to show that to other person also. Now having drawing skills will help you to visualize the object and draw different parts of it. Without proper sense of art, you will mess with the object in your drawing.Lastly you don't have to be a great artist for all these above adept. You can try your skills in home and think about it, whether you are able to do -Visualize one object from different anglesIdentify it's all edgesDraw that simple object by hand and see, if the sketch describes your object. We are not expecting a perfect drawing from you, but it is required to atleast conduct the thoughts clearly by your drawing. Now if you find this interesting and want to learn more, then go for mechanical or civil. I would suggests mechanical engineering is more interesting and has more drawing sessions. But if you find this article a bullshit, opt out and choose IT CSE or ECE.

How do I get my wife to shave and draw in her eyebrows?

I have a new fetish, I am completely enamored by drawn in eyebrows. A lot of the younger girls are doing this and I think it's really sexy. I showed my wife a few pics but she is not interested. There's been a few fetishes in the past I've wanted her to indulge me in, but she never gives in. I can't give up on this one. I had one idea to bribe a marriage counselor into telling her to do it for the betterment of the marriage, or maybe I could bribe her stylist to 'accidentally' take her brows completely off the next time she goes for a waxing. I can afford to bribe a pretty good amount, but I'm afraid they will let her know, or just think I'm crazy altogether.

Is art a natural gift or can anyone be good at art if they practice?

I spent nearly 40 years as a college professor (anatomy, figure drawing, color theory, painting, etc) holding firmly to the belief that making art is a learned skill. For hundreds of years the guild practice and the academies of Europe operated on this conceit. There were of course entry requirements; aptitude and enthusiasm are, and were, welcome attributes . Passion, curiosity, intellectual discipline and ambition are also desirable characteristics in the aspiring student. But of course it helps to have something extra. An urgency for expressing ideas and experience in visual form helps. Insight, the ability to reflect on events and observations in a fresh manner, an awareness and eager embrace of the lessons of art history also contribute to the formation of artistic success. One of my most successful students (she is hugely successful in the movie and video game industry) flunked my drawing fundamentals class the first time she took it. Attitude changed everything for the better. Art is work. And it is perfectible work. To anyone who thinks the practice of art is all based on natural ability I would say two things: first, take a look at art history and look at the development of any artist over time; nobody is great right out of the box, Often they do not even show a glimmer of ability. And two, think how much time and practice you have devoted to reading in your life. Imagine if you had given an equivalent commitment to drawing. How far would your "talent" be advanced. Many great athletes are very resentful of being praised for their "god given" abilities . Most great athletes are famous for their work habits: first in the gym and last one out. Art, like sport, is habit of practice. Find a good teacher, practice your butt off, and lo and behold an artist is made.
