Whats the difference between warm, neutral, and cool complexions?

how can you tell which one you have, and how can you tell which one others have? which foundation brands (or just make up in general) accomodate best for those skin tones? i'm not good at explaining things, but i tried my best not to confuse you =)

i've been told from 3 different cosmetologists that i have warm, neutral, or cool. i have blue veins, i tan easy, and it LOOKS like i have pink skin with a yellow undertone. i'm really confused what i am, and have difficulty finding any foundation tones that look good. any help would be appreciated ^_^

How can I decide whether I have cool, warm or neutral undertone?

Hi,The easiest way to know your undertone and best suitable fashion colors instantly is to use the android app- Colours Speak for Undertone https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coloursspeak&hl=enHope this helps.

Cool, warm and neutral foundation, what does it mean?

does a cool foundation come out looking pink? what about warm and neutral?
if i dont want my face to look pink what kind of foundation should i use? preferably drugstore.

Really confused about warm tones vs cool tones. What's my tone??

I cannot seem to find makeup that looks right on me. Some warm colors look ok, some cool colors look ok, but not many of either! Most warm and even some neutral foundations look kind of orange on me, while cool based foundations make me look dead or flat. I usually stay with browns or neutrals in the color department, which is boring me to death! Some pinks, corals and just a few mauves look ok on me, but I have a military ball coming up and would like to do something neat with my makeup but I have no clue.

I've had one professional makeup artist tell me I'm cool hued, another tell me I'm warm hued and a third tell me I'm neutral! Does neutral even exist? I have blue-green, sometimes grey eyes, fair skin and dark blonde hair (currently dyed red). I blush bright pink and easily. I look good with red hair as long as it isn't coppery or too orange-y, and I look great with blonde and brown hair except if it's ash. What's up with me??
Is this a common problem? What are some tips?

Warm vs Cool in hair color?

People try and explain this to me but for some reason I still don't understand. I just want what is best for me.
I have brown hair and light brown eyes. I have olive toned skin and if in sun I can get quite dark. But I live in Seattle so I am not tan. My hair stylist asked me last time if I wanted my hair to be warm and I said sure and it ended up looking yellow/orange. It looked terrible.
Can someone please explain the difference of warm versus cool colors in hair? I want to have my hair slightly lighter with highlights but I don't want it to look bad.

Am I a MAC warm or cool undertone?

NW means warm undertones, which mean you have more red and pink pigments in your skin, and NC means cool undertones which are green or yellow pigments in your skin. Honestly, whenever I have gone to the Mac counter and asked for them to shade match me, it's ALWAYS a different shade. So you really just have to try it out and see which shade best works for you! I personally got matched with a NW shade my first time, tried it out for about 6 months and hated it. I do have red discoloration on my face so I understand why I would be matched as an NW but I personally didn't like it and thought my face looked orange/red and really oxidized by the end of the day, so I went back and told them and they said maybe I should try an NC because it would cancel out the redness and give me an even skintone, which is what I wanted. So I did, and I haven't gone back since. If you dislike how the NW shade looks on you, definitely try to see if there's an NC shade you like! And yes it's okay to use the same shade powder and foundation! Usually people go a shade lighter with their concealer if they use it for under eye circles because it gives them a brighter more awake look but that's optional!
