Am I Entitled To Anything

How can I stop feeling like I am entitled to anything?

Consistency. Uncertainty. Relation. You can stop feeling like you’re entitled to anything through a number of ways. (However, if you recognize that you are in a situation of abuse or unfair mistreatment, then you have to try your best to leave, because refusing to accept is not a futile effort). The first is to think about death. After you die within a matter of 70–100 years, the world will continue to rotate. The sun will rise in the east and set in the west. The leaves will continue falling and seasons will change. The world frankly does not change for anyone. This helps you find comfort in the sense of consistency of an unyielding world that does not care for anyone, as people continue to plead trod and beg uselessly for better lives. (Instead of making use of their own circumstances). The second way is to understand the million different ways that life branches out. This means to know that anything can happen to a single choice, and in that anything includes both good and bad. Find comfort in the uncertainty that are weaved in the unseen and blurred future or unpredictable actions in people. When the good happens, then you can learn to be grateful for avoiding the possibility of bad. And when bad happens, you learn that life is all about probability and the dice has just rolled an unlucky number for you.In other words, if you tried your best to achieve something but it did not happen, then find comfort in that you increased the probability, which has never been and will be 100% for anyone. Finally, realize that this occurrence is universal. Bad things happen to good people and vice versa. The final step is finding comfort in relation to the many people in the world, who are trying to ‘figure it out’ from what happened to them, good or bad. You are not alone in this world, and neither you are the most deserving of anything, because you’ll see that there are many others who are more deserving of something that you are, and yet has not gained it.

What do you think you are "entitled" to in this life?

Life, Liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness. Nothing more. Nothing less.

These rights are SELF-EVIDENT.

Where do these rights come from???

Does one NOT have the right to life? Think about it. Do people deserve death?
Does one NOT have the right to liberty? i.e. freedom? Do people deserve slavery?
While no one is entitled to happiness, do people not have the right to PURSUE happiness???

Declaration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson

If YOU sir do not believe in the Declaration of Independence, why do you continue to live here?'

There are literally hundreds of countries in the world today that will deny you life, liberty and the persuit of happiness. My assessment is you will remain here so that you can take advantage of these truths that are self-evident.

These truths do not and never will eliminate curruption and fairness - what is fairness anyway? It says the PURSUIT of happiness not the guarantee of happiness. Bottom line. Life is not fair. It will never be fair. We simply have the opportunity to pursue happiness,

How can I internalize that I'm not entitled to anything?

Ooh, tough question. It think that goes hand in hand with thinking we are in control of anything.People who feel like they are losing control of their lives often fall back on a sense of entitlement, ‘this shouldn’t happen to me.’Like it says in the United States Declaration of Independence, you are entitled to three things: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Beyond that, since everyone is granted those three things, you shouldn’t expect less or more than anyone else. The reality is much different. Depending on how you were reared, you might see yourself as having some automatic rights over others. Knowing that this is not right nor fair is the first step in overcoming this nonsense.

As human beings, what exactly, if anything, are we entitled to?

Who or what would be granting us the rights (bestowing entitlement) to our claims? What would be the origins of or basis for the entitlement? There is no ultimate authority with the power or inclination to grant humans entitlement, to restrict us from our actions, or to free us from various obligations or duties. However, it is important to recognize that your freedom ends where mine begins. Therefore, you are not entitled to cause me harm. This thinking brings us the golden rule.In summary, we are entitled to live the golden rule. See: Living the Golden Rule

What do you feel you are entitled to?

Well well, well. Someone asked me what I want at last. First lets agree that is not what I feel, that is what I must.I strongly suggest that I realize what I am entitle to can not be provided by myself alone and I needed help. Now the point is who were to help me out and did not. Society? Government? Family or the employees. However, I divide what I am entitled to to personal, social and professional categories. For not having a proper internet access and a decent social networking that I am entitled to I blame the government of Iran. For not having a proper international access and business networking that I am entitled to I blame the US government. But for lacking an ideal personal life that I deserved, I never blame myself. I have just made a few little mistakes that is all, don't you understand. And when I make a mistake it is a beaut.
