Am I Having Gym Nutrition Properly

How to get cockatiel his proper nutrition?

You have to understand that birds just like human children are not picky with food but actually cautious. This come from a basic instinct that tells them not to eat anything they don't know in case they were to eat something harmful. Don't get upset just because you put something one day and your tiel doesn't even touch it, what I suggest you do it but it in as much as you can, this will allow your bird to get used to it and soon curiosity will take over and he will take a bite and realise it actually tastes good. With my birds I have noticed that giving them green vegetables such as broccoli, silverbeet, kale and bak choy are more attractive to them then other colours, so you should give them a try. If your tiel is feeding happily on the pellets then you shouldn't be as worried about his nutritional intake that much as you would on a seed only diet, however it is important to give him/her fresh fruit and vegetables to help improve their diet. As I said just keep trying over and over again soon you will see that the effect was all worth it.

How to lose 10 pounds properly? FITNESS/NUTRITION GURUS HELP!?

Ok I am going to try and answer this, hopefully a more knowledgeable person jumps in.
I would say four times a week do cardio, such as running, for about 30-50 minutes. Then two times a week so strength training, like weight lifting. Take a day off one day of the week.
Maybe see if your gym has any group fitness things going on, they can really get you motivated.
With nutrition dont go any lower than 1200 calories a day, even that's pretty low considering your not 21 yet. But stay away from refind sugars, fats(not counting the good ones, like olive oil and nuts), and just processed junk in general. The foods I like are oatmeal, eggs, protein shakes, tofu. You should get a juicer if you don't have one, their really good and make vegetables take amazing!

I am exercisinig and dieting properly?

First off, I appreciate you clicking on my question, and I hope you don't mind taking the time to answer it :)

I'm a 22 year old female. I'm 5'0 and about 105lbs. My goal is to tone up especially my abdominals.

I work out 4 times a week Monday-Thursday by doin cardio classes for about an hour each day. After that I hit the gym and do some workouts on my own like abs, planks, lunges, back extensions, leg lifts...

its hard to say what my diet is exactly but I try to make a lot of tuna sandwhiches with hardboiled eggs. I JUST bought those jars of powder for protein shakes. I just drank one today after my morning workout. If i work out twice a day, is it okay if i drink it again? Like i did cardio class this morning. Then later at night I played indoor badminton lol! anyway I LOVE cereal, I have the fiberplus cinnamon oats and yogurt crunch. BUT i also go out to eat to places like chipotle, noodles&co, portillos (lol its big in the midwest serves hot dogs italian beef burgers), and panera. I mostly need to know what kind of foods I should avoid? AH staying healthy is hard! lol my guilty pleasure is dessert. Its so hard for me to say no to ice cream, cupcakes and cake. Please give me advice and tips. I REALLY appreciate it!

Will P90X Nutrition and Workout plan help me to gain weight???? I am very confusedd plzz help mee - Thanks :)?

Hey all and How u doing??..

This is my very first question in Yahoo! :)

I have purchased the P90X Program but now I am confused with some of the instruction in the actual program as will it help me to gain weight? It has three options to follow the workout: Classic, Doubles and Lean, I am confused on which one to go for bcoz Classic is a normal workout, Doubles is more of cardiovascular and Lean is also cardio based. Here I am planning to gain weight and also i have viewed few youtube videos in that i have seen skinny ppl like me makin a hugh diff with this workout program.

Also i am not sure about the P90X Nutrition Plan, as in the guide it has 3 Phases as follows:
Phase 1: upto 1800 Calories
Phase 2: upto 2400 Calories
Phase 3: upto 3000 Calories
I am ready to take on any Phase but I don't know which Phase is right for me to gain weight

So anyone who knows more about this program or has actually been through it can plzzzz help me out on this as to what Phase I should go for in Nutrition Plan and which workout is right for me to gain weight: Classic, Doubles or Lean...

thanks all for your time and excuse me for my bad English :)

Nutrition or Fitness - Which is more important?

Let me preface my answer by stating "Life is Long".

With that said...nutrition versus fitness? Well, both are important and in turn can seem to offset the deficits of each other as well.

I don't really like to use the word nutrition when referring to food. Food is food. Food contains the nutrients we need as animals to create and sustain life. But there are some discrepencies. Real food has health benefits beyond that of the nurients contained within. I couldn't possibly go into the detail here that authors such as Dr Westin Price and Michael Pollan have (there are more, but these are two good ones to start with).

The most abundant problem with "Americanized" nutrition is that is tends to be highly correlated with the chronic diseases of industry (obesity, metabolic disorders, heart disease, cancer, etc). So if you are young and active (physically fit) you may be able to avoid the diseases that take time (years) to develop.

It sounds to me like you are using health and being over fat synonymously. This is both ignorant and unfair.

Fitness refers to your bodies capacity to perform work. "Nutrition" in this case sounds like your dietary regimen responsible for your health. These two tend to typically benefit the other, but in physiology are different processes. Health is such a broad spectrum that it is unfair to assume that because you are young and appear to be physically fit that you are healthy. Example, Lance Armstrong once had cancer!

Fit people get ill. And people who eat "healthy" can be overweight. To be honest, I can't believe I just took the time to try and shed some light on such an awkward question. Health professionals may seem to have different "opinions" but it most likely is related to the fact that health professionals tend to specialize, and specialists may tend to compartamentalize their approach more so in favor of one technique/theory/philosophy than another.

I don't even know if I did any good trying to respond. Re think this mundane question and repost for better responses.

If nutrition is essential to building muscle, how come inmates build muscle anyway?

At least from my observations, it seems like these meatheads and gym rats simply all repeat the same lines they heard at GNC or some bodybuilding site; you know the places who are trying to empty your wallet and push products on you.

I'm not downplaying nutrition at all. Proper nutrition will maximize results, consider the source and take it with a grain of salt. Do your own research. You won't need most of the crap they try to get you to buy.
