Am I Okay Even Though I Threw Up All The Pills

If you throw up five hours after taking your birth control are you okay?

Hi there. So on tuesday I took my birth control at 12:30 p.m. At about 7:00 p.m. I threw up due to a hangover.. Am I okay as far as safety goes? The pill would have dissolved into my system by then correct? I took my next pill at the same time the next day.

Thanks for your help!

If you take a pill and you end up throwing up around 2 hours later, would the pill have lost its effect in the system?

Letrozole has peak absorption at 1 hour if taken on an empty stomach, and 2 hours if taken with/just after food. Plus, it has a very long half-life and takes many days to reach steady state, meaning that it stays in the body a long time. So you probably absorbed a lot of it, and vomiting 2 hours after your dose will not likely affect it in any significant way. In other words, you wouldn’t repeat the dose under those conditions.More here: http://www.bccancer.bc.ca/drug-d...

Threw up after taking doxycycline for an std is that okay?

Usually if you throw up within 2 hours of taking a medication it is considered a lost dose. Since you are taking a cycle of pills you should be fine. But if it had been a once time dose a MD probably would have had you retake it. You should be ok, but you can alwyas double chek with your MD. Doxy is a pretty strong antibiotic, make sure you eat with the rest of your doses.

Throwing up after taking 2 birth control pills?

I was wondering if after taking two birth control pills at the same time, it could cause you to throw up. I missed a pill, so I took 2 pills the next day. But this morning at about 1 AM I threw up and again at about 6. I feel better now so I don't think I have a sickness.

What happens if I've thrown up about nine hours after taking a birth control pill?

I'm almost positive that I'm not pregnant. This is the time of the month when I would normally get my period, and I got it in the afternoon yesterday, then waited until about ten to take the pill. It seemed exactly like all of my other periods have, so I highly doubt the blood is from some other cause.
I don't feel nauseous anymore. When I threw up this morning, it was pretty insubstantial, like water, and I felt better immediately after.
I don't have any other symptoms, just the nausea. I don't have any known allergies, either, and I rarely get sick. Maybe it's not so much that I'm good at handling my stomach but that I don't actually feel sick enough to vomit except on very rare occasions.
And another question - what happens to my period now? Normally I would still have it for a couple more days, but will it stop now since I'm on the pill?

After taking my first dose of antibiotics, I threw up the pills. My doctor says I don’t need to repeat the dose: will the antibiotic regime still have an effect? The antibiotics are for bronchitis.

Ultimately, one has to maintain a relatively steady blood level of the antibiotic over a 1–2 week course to effectively treat bacterial bronchitis. Several antibiotics cover the spectrum of bugs most likely to cause it, so if your stomach can’t tolerate the first one prescribed, your doctor may want to switch to another one.If you just throw up the first dose, some doctors would say to just take a second one. Unless the instructions say they must be taken on an empty stomach, a little food may help curtail the nausea. If you throw up more than a few doses, the effectiveness of the course will be lessened.Bottom line - if you throw up more than one dose, be sure to tell your doctor.

Can taking a lot of pills kill you?

Pill suicides, if that’s what you’re talking about, are the method most likely to fail. As others have written, however, you can do yourself serious and permanent harm this way that is even more depressing than how you feel now (if this is indeed a question you’re asking for yourself). ER staff also tend to be very judgmental about suicide attempts, given that they spend 12-hour shifts repairing people who are badly hurt or ill but want to live, and so you may not get the kindest and gentlest attitudes you’ve ever had from a doctor. Stomach pumping is also extremely unpleasant, as is swallowing activated charcoal to absorb the toxic dose of whatever medication. If you’re in the US, the national suicide hotline is 1-800-273-8255 (273-TALK). Their website also has a text chat option if you don’t want to be overheard talking to them. You can also send a text message to 741741.A part of suicidal thinking for many people is that they sincerely believe that their friends and loved ones will be better off without them. I am here to tell you that we are not. At every holiday and milestone, we miss our departed family member and wonder what he would think or say in various situations. I still have him on my Facebook and it’s been more than 5 years. My sister tortures herself with “What if” or “What more could I have done/said.” You will create nothing but havoc and agony that the people around you, including the emergency responders called to the scene if you complete suicide, don’t deserve to have to deal with for the rest of their lives.Miss you, J.

Emergency! I just took 3 pills 800mg of Ibuprofen - what to do?

I think you'll be fine. I always take 3 aleve pills (idk the mg) and it sometimes takes my pain away and I'm still alive. (I'm 18, 5'0, and 106 lbs) Don't make yourself throw up, that's bad for you. If you start to feel bad after taking that many pills, go to the hospital. But, definetly consult your doctor about whether taking that many pills is bad or not. If you feel ok, don't worry about it.
