Am I Over Eating Anything Better I Can Eat

Is it better to induce vomiting after eating really unhealthy food or keep that food down?

I think, and hope, everyone misunderstood your question and you’re only asking if you should induce vomiting when a meal makes you sick; nauseous, dizzy and just overall feel like crap. This can happen for a number of completely normal reasons to anyone, without it being an indicator of bulimic/psychotic tendencies.Assuming this is your case, that you simply overate by mistake or a meal just isn’t sitting well, I’ll say: IT DEPENDS. If you accidentally swallowed a chemical, like a household cleaner, bleach, etc, DO NOT VOMIT. CALL 911 RIGHT AWAY and have someone with you at all times until you get medical assistance, to make sure that if you pass out, you have someone to help you.If you suspect it was just the food, like eating 5 day old leftovers, and you have no history of food disorders/ mental disorder or anything that would indicate your want to vomit can turn into a habit, BARF AWAY.I suffer from motion sickness and get really sick if I make the mistake of eating and then playing on my cellphone, I get horribly nauseous and won’t feel better until I barf at the side of the road; but then again, this only happens to me only once every couple of years and I don’t have a history of binging. Here’s more on the right thing to do if you’re experiencing food poisoning:Dealing with Poisoning. Which case is better: eating healthy but overeating or (hardly) meeting the day's caloric requirements yet having the average bad diet? Will doing the former cause excess belly fat when one is underweight? Will the latter be okay for weight loss?

Take a donut for example. The average person would think is unhealthy because is fried and full of sweets. How about a burger from your favorite fast food restaurant? Sounds pretty unhealthy right? Now take a fresh package of grapes, oh yeah, now that sounds like a healthy treat right?Well, here is where people get it wrong. It is not wether the food is healthy or non healthy, all foods are about the same in the health scale as long as you are eating the right amount. For instance, a glazed donut from Dunkin donuts has the following macronutrients:260 CaloriesFats 14gCarbs 31gProtein 3gA cheese burger from Five Guys my favorite burger joint:840 CaloriesFats 55gCarbs 40gProtein 47gA full bag of grapes:100 grams67 CaloriesFats .4gCarbs 17gProtein .6gAs you can see on the break down, eating a donut or a burger as long as you just eat one is not that bad. It has a good amount of fats, which your body needs, it has a good amount of Carbs, and it evens comes with a little protein which is the building block of every single part of our body, including your eyes.If you see the burger it's packed with even more protein, yes it's a little high on fats, but still within the allowed numbers and it also have a good amount of Carbs. Non of which are over your allowed number for a 2000 calories a day diet. Now take a look at the grapes, very little fats, which by the way, fats are more important than Carbs. Your body can live without Carbs, but can't not live without fats. The grapes have an incredible amount of Carbs, most which are from sugar and almost no protein, which like I mentioned is the building block of every part of your body.If you start over eating grapes thinking is better than having a (one) donut or a (one) burger, you will soon realize that you will start consuming a lot more carbs than what your body would use in a single day. Remember that the carbs you don't use your body turns into fat.So the answer is simple. It is better to have a diet that helps you maintain or lose weight no matter what the food may be, than over eating on what you may believe is healthy foods. Consistently over eating anything can lead to obesity.Everything in moderation!

Overeating is a sin?

What?! This is new to me!
Overeating is really a sin? Why? Is it because we are feeding ourselves rather than the hungry?
Does 'overeating' mean that you eat even though you aren't really hungry?

A lot of times, I eat when I'm not really hungry, but also not full. Should I stop this? Please explain this 'Overeating' sin to me.

Thanks in advance!!!

What do you think is healthier: Overeating or Undereating?

Anorexia or Obesity?

Half a meal a day or Five?

I personally would choose overeating because I can't stand the feeling of my stomach growling and feeling weak from not eating. And I am not a fat person going to shout at you for saying undereating because I can easily skip a meal or two as long as I have a substitute like coffee or soda to keep the illusion of being "full". Actually, my BMI is at borderline level of being high but I'm not there yet. I'm just honestly curious to see which one people would rather.

Eating too much healthy food?

I have posted about this issue before... I feel like I am just eating way too much. Even though what I eat is healthy, I still feel I am over eating.

Perhaps it is because I need to eat more for lunch (I hardly eat anything because of a horrid school schedule). So when I get home I am rather hungry. I tend to eat alot on average, but when I am so hungry it is even more so.

Everything I eat, I cook myself. I want a career in nutrition and fitness and workout daily, and am constantly educating myself on proper nutrition. I just want others opinions because I have suffered in the past from disordered eating habits and am technically still trying to fully recover.

I never starved myself, I just lacked calories. I got down to like 93lbs. Since then I have gained weight via my doctor making me and have family support.

I have had problems with overeating in the past (being able to eat an entire lb of dried beans!!), and recently have gotten better, practicing mindful eating as best I can. I sometimes struggle but work on it.

I am a 16 year old female, about 108lbs, 5' 5.5". I workout daily. I lift weights 5-6x a week (60-75min), do HIIT cardio 1-3x a week. I do (60-75min) power yoga as my 1-2 "rest" days.

Here is what I had today:

Breakfast/post workout:
Small apple
2 TBSP homemade almond butter

Lunch:
Hard boiled egg

Snack:
small apple
3.5 TBSP almond butter

Dinner:
2/3 recipe of lentil stew
3-4 oz lean ground turkey

Recipe:
About 1 cup sprouted lentils, raw
1/3 cup uncooked quinoa
2.5 yellow squash
1 medium onion
1 cup cabbage
2 medium carrots
1 stalk celery
1 small tomato
3/4 cup mushroom
small can tomato paste
spices

I feel like I shouldn't have eaten all that at dinner/snack.

Ugh. I just feel fat and bloated! I go through stages of feeling great, then eat a bit more than I should and it starts another cycle of feeling bloated, fat, and gross.

Have I eaten too much? Or is my body and hunger just trying to get normalized after being so underweight previously?

Is it healthier to throw up after overeating or to just let it digest?

While self-induced vomiting is appropriate if one swallows most (but not all) poisons, it should not be done routinely - such as to prevent weight gain due to over eating. Routine purging is part of the constellation of symptoms defining bulimia - an eating disorder.Boerhaave syndrome is “effort rupture of the esophagus” and can occur with repeated purging. When a tear in the esophagus occurs, emergency surgery is required immediately or one dies of mediastinitis or peritonitis, depending on whether the rupture occurs above or below the diaphragm. If you eat so much that you feel terrible, the best thing to do is just sit back and let it digest. I recommend Overeaters Anonymous or some form of counseling if this is a recurring pattern in your life.If you are interested in “No Nonsense” answers to serious medical questions, please follow me. Pregnant, and vomiting after overeating?

I am six weeks pregnant, and last night I was really craving Mexican food. So, I went to the restaurant and ate a good size Chimmichanga (sorry if I spelled that wrong), and went home for bed. I woke up at 1:30 this morning feeling the worst nausea, and I got sick. Now, I never have had morning sickness and this seems to be my first spat with it. But I was wondering if the vomiting was from morning sickness, or does Mexican food just not set well in pregnant women's tummy's?

Getting over the stomach flu, what should I eat?

So from 12am-4:30am the night before last night I couldn't stop puking up my guts and yesterday I wasn't able to drink more than two cans of ginger ale and eat a pack of four soup crackers. Today I'm much better, and I am actually able to type and ask you guys for some tips. I ate three small pancakes with some milk and just a dab of maple syrup on each. That made me feel so so. What are some suggestions of things I should be eating? Because I don't want to be puking my guts out again.
