Am I Overweight For My Age/height

My height is 5.4'' and my weight is 60. is it overweight?

HiThanks for asking this question.I am a fitness coach & I have been asked this kind of questions on daily basis. Now what are the parameters to understand whether you are overweight or not ?BMI - BODY MASS INDEX.(BMI between 18.5 to 25 is normal weight. BMI above 25 is considered as overweight.)BMI = kg/m2Kg is a person's weight in kilograms and m2 is the height in meters squared. In your case:Weight in kg is 60Height in metres is 1.64 mCalculate:BMI = 60 ÷ (1.64 × 1.64)BMI = 60 ÷ 2.69So your BMI is 22.3, which falls within the normal range of 18.5 to 25.GOOD, YOU are in normal BMI range means you are not OVERWIGHT.2. BODY COMPOSITION ANALYSIS (BCA)BCA = Lean body mass (muscle mass, bone weight & other) + FatFitness FAT % for men & women -Women - 21-24% Men - 14-17%Acceptable FAT % for men & women -Women - 25-31% Men - 18-25%Now why this is imp, Even though you are 60 kgs but consider your fat % is 30 that means 60 x 30/100 = 18 kgs of fat in your body.NOT good. You need to work on reducing fat % & gaining muscle mass.My analysis is going purely by BMI parameter doesnt works. You should definitely workout in either case to be fit & always check BCA & BMI & then derive conclusions :)ThanksFitness WiredPooja Malani (@fitness_wired) • Instagram photos and videos

Am I overweight for my height and a 12 year old girl?

I am 134 pounds/61.2 kgs, but I am 5'2/5'3 in height, am I overweight? I've tried to lose weight but for some reason my weight always stays the same, my parents might buy a treadmill and I'm going to get a new bike soon to ride outside so. What should my average weight be for my age/height if I'm planning to reduce it or if it's overweight, and should I be worried?

AM I OVERweight for my age and build?

You are fine for your age and height...I personally don't care much for "weight" to determine obesity...

I am 5'5 and weigh 150 lbs....and am 27 years old....but, I wear a US size 6, designer denim size 28....so I am weight heavy but, have a rather small build...

I'm 14 and I'm 60 kg, am I overweight?

Check this chart:The numbers on top of the squares give you your Body Mass Index (your weight divided by the square of your height).Take in account your frame: if you are a thick person, fighting your weight is not that good.I believe that a healthy life (finding happy thoughts, going out, spending time with people) is much more important than a height vs weight chart ideal. In my experience, the more you fight your weight, the more unstable it is.The most beautiful curve in your body is your smile.

How can I find out the ideal weight for my height and age?

Go see your doctor before you get concerned, they can clearly evaluate your true BMI.Firstly, you're working out regularly so you can toss this chart in the trash:Secondly, so many factors go into healthy body composition that any simple "rule of thumb" (or maybe a chart per se) is over generalized. I am just a touch over 5'10" and weigh 200 lbs. I don't look like a football player, nor a marathon runner, but I'm certainly not borderline obese as this chart would have me believe. I play sports and have worked out my entire life. My strength to weight ratio is ideal but you would never guess me at 200 lbs. (btw..I win a lot of stuffed animals at the County Fair when they guess my weight). Once upon a time I was concerned about my BMI and its possible effects on my health. My doctor told me that bone density, muscle concentration and cell mass differ with all of us. I guess it was his way of telling me that I was dense! (rim shot). He then told me to get out of his office and enjoy my stuffed animal collection. I'm sure your doctor will tell you much of the same.

Age 16 190 pounds 5 foot 3 is that overweight?

big time, my friend. According to the CDC, based on your height and weight , your BMI is 33.7, placing the BMI-for-age at the 99th percentile for boys aged 16 years. "This teen may be overweight and should be seen by a healthcare provider for further assessment."
