How can I stop myself from sleeping too much?

So, if you asked this question means you sleep more than required and you want to change it..one good thing is you are ready for change..So you have taken the first step..Now I would like to tell you one of my friend’s story..there was a time when she used to sleep alot..or you can say if someone would have asked her to sleep for 18–20 hours also it is fine and very good thing for her..almost you can say few days were really like that she wake up for natures call and to fill her stomach.There were few things which were making her sleep more were:Not taking bath everyday..it is must to purify your body everyday.sleeping at wrong time..few days were like she wake up whole night and sleep whole day..which at last result into over sleep of day and night.do something to fulfill your soul toodo things which you are passionate about..like few days she was waking up very long only to watch moviesI know something was bothering her..little bit depressed because of something which was also making her sleep more.she was less social..So, I advice go make few new friends..not very close but then alsoShe was not doing things which she likes..she was not studying the subjects of her choice but pursuing the course of her family’s choice..so losing interest each and everyday…she prefer to sleep than to attend classes.misses her family alot..it is must to be in touch with your family…it will motivate you and keep you grounded as wellnow is the time of internet..find the things which attract you or learn something new..lots of options and things are out there..find your part..All the best..I know you can overcome anything if you have strong will to change it :)

How much sleep is too much?

I am 21 years old and I work about 7 hours a day 5 days a week. Lately (for the past week) I have been very tired when I get home. However I sleep alot. I got to bed around 5 am and sleep until about 1. That is 9 hours. Am I sleeping too much?

Does sleeping too much make you gain weight?

sleeping too much, especially at erratic hours, will mess up your metabolism, so i'd say that yes, this will hinder your weight loss. you need about seven hours of sleep on average (sorry, 8 hours is just a luxury!) .. but for summer hols, i suppose nine is acceptable. try to eat dinner by seven, a glass of milk or juice by nine, and then don't eat anything else! good luck!

Am i sleeping too much for being 9 weeks pregnant?

i feel tired all the time. i get enough food, 3 meals a day to be exact, i take my vitamins, and i even walk around a little bit. but i just always feel exhausted so i TRY to sleep. but everytime i lay down and start to drift off my mom is waking me up or my dad Yelling "its not good to sleep all the time, your muscles will get weak". i am TWENTY (20) YEARS OLD...ALMOST TWENTY-ONE (21). i told them it wont hurt. that i need the sleep, but they just don't believe me. i am sick all the time too, and the only time i actually feel okay is whenever i take naps...which i take at least one everyday...around 5 or 6:00pm. their driving me CRAZY and stressing me out completely!. (which i know for a fact isnt healthy). So i just need to prove a point that however much sleep i get is not going to hurt me or the baby!. please respond!.

Can too much sleep make you MORE tired?

On weekdays i get about 8 hours of sleep, and on weekends i got about 10-12 hours of sleep (catchingup from the week) and i am sooooooo exhausted now. could it be because i am out of my normal sleeping pattern? on fridays after sleeping 8 i am tired, but sleeping more to get me un-tired, makes me more tired! what do i do? i am WIPED OUT now, and i want to go to bed, but i cant, what do i do?? how do i fix this??

Why am I sleep too much?

Try going to sleep erlier like 11 or something, still get up at 9 and all the normal day to day stuff you are doing but go out for the day or on a walk instead of watching tv or sitting down for long periods of time. Then go to bed at the same time every night. Your body is missing a regular routine expesially if you are on holiday from school/college. Dont let yourself go to sleep during the day because your body will get into that routine and the longer you do it the harder it will be to break it. Hope this helps!

Why do I sleep way too much?

I have this problem where I sleep too much. If I went to bed and nobody woke me up, I can sleep for a good 16 hours. I have to have 4 different alarms and if my boyfriend can't get me up before he goes to work he has to call me from work over and over again to wake me up. This takes a while because when I am sleeping, it can take 2 to 3 hours before I hear my alarm. I am in college and I have failed more than half of my attempted units (i'm in 4th semester) because I either can't get up or I sleep through the class. I fall asleep on my breaks at work and sometimes I fall asleep driving. The other day I pulled into my driveway at home and I guess I fell asleep bc I woke up and it was 45 minutes later.
This has been going on for at least the last 2 years. I work 4pm-12am and on the weekends until 2am. This is ok during school breaks bc I go to sleep when I get home and wake up an hour before I have to go back but I start 8am-3pm classes at the end of this month bc I'm trying to catch up and if a fail everything again I will have to drop out which I don't want to do.

Any suggestions?

ps. I can't quit my job bc I don't have anyone to help support me.
