Why does Yahoo keep asking me for my cell phone number?
I still would not give a number. In general, for security reasons if they ask you for something that you have already submitted when you initiated your account then you have a trojan switching you to a viral phishing site. yahoo can IM or e-mail you any info.

Why, then, am I told I must enter a valid mobile telephone number every time I enter the one I have been using for many years. Then I find there is no easy way of contacting Yahoo to make this inquiry, so I am becoming disillusioned because, at 1.15 a.m., I must have wasted three-quarters of an hour trying to resolve this - so far. Rude People With Cell Phones...Cell Phone Etiquette?
I think people should be more aware of cellphone etiquette, because some people really piss me off with their cell phones. For instance, when people are constantly messing with their cell phones while having a conversation with you, that is rude. When your having a conversation with someone, your attention needs to be on them, not some gadget, it makes the other person think you care about the people who may potentially call you more than them. Also, when someone is talking on their cellphones loudly in public is rude. I've seen many people talking loudly on their phones and everyone is listening, You don't have to talk so loud into your phone. If you are talking loudly, chances are the person on the other line is holding the phone away from their ear. Don't text all the time..do you know how many a teenage girl i've bumped into in a store while she was completely immersed in sending a text she walked right into me? I hope to god they don't text while they are driving. I've also known people who would rather have full on conversations through texting. Just call the person!...Jeeze, chances are they want you to call them too. Their fingers are getting tired. Another thing that irks me is when your trying to talk to someone, and they are constantly texting someone. It makes the person your talking to in person feel like you care about the person your texting more...not a good move. ESPECIALLY on a date. And...the coup de gras of things that piss me off that has to do with cell phones. When you are trying to have a conversation with someone, and they get a call and immediately take it, interupting you. Oh man...that makes me mad. Say excuse me, or I have to take this call, or just ignore it, the world isn't going to end, you can always call them back. This has happened to me several times. Especially in the car, when I'm driving and i'm not actually looking at the person, and they will take a call and i think they are talking to me, so I will continue to talk to them, only to glance over and their talking on their cell. I must look like an idiot. How rude. Anybody have anything to add or can they relate? Do these situations piss you off too?

They just want to make sure you are a real person, not a robot computer whatever they call it... And then they want to send you a verification code as a text message and whatever site And you type the code on the net & ur account is verified ! I know this sounds pretty weird but it's not like they're gonna call you !
