Am I Too Fat And Tall

Am i too fat to be a ballet dancer?

ive done ballet foreverrr. im 14. and i want to be a dancer soo bad! but the thing is, i dont know if i am too heavy. i am 5 foot 8, i weigh 124 lbs. my bmi is 18.9. am i too tall? too fat? too heavy? thanks!

I'm tall and thin. I would like to get fat, how can I do that and continue to exercise?

Well, First of all, the question should be "How to gain weight?" not "How to get fat?". Though fat is not always considered as wrong thing but I still suggest you to focus on growing muscles weight. As you are thin and tall, I assume whatever you eat it digests quickly and your body doesn't store enough calorie. To gain weight you need to:-  Increase food intake and do light exercises. You need to increase carbohydrate, protein, fiber and calorie intake. -  Do heavy breakfast. Medium Lunch and dinner. -  Drink lots of water. At least 3-4 ltr per day.-  Increase protein intake. A normal person requires  0.6-0.8 gm protein per kg body weight. If you exercising, you need 1.5-2.0 gm protein per kg body weight.  If your bodyweight is 60 kg, you need 48 grams (60kg X 0.8) of protein per day. But I suggest you to increase the protein intake. Make it to 1.5-2.0 gm protein per kg body weight per day as it helps in increasing the muscle weight. -  Increase carbs intake. We Indians, generally prefer chapati and rice. Lets compare about chapati and rice.1/3 cup serving rice : 80Kcal Calorie, 1 or less gm Protein, 0.1 gm Fat, 18 gm Carbohydrates. 1 small chapati : 71Kcal Calorie, 3gm Protein, 0.4 gm Fat, 15 gm Carbohydrates. So now you know how much Carbs and Proteins you are eating daily.- Do not eat junky food too much as it digests slow. It helps in ruining your immune system. - Before sleeping you can have milk, banana, protein shake etc any one of them.  Hope you get your answer. I wish you good fat. :) Read More at www.fitho.in/which-is-healthier-rice-or-chapati/

Am I too tall to get a boyfriend?

If the entire world would prefer short women, a lot of women would be miserable.

I believe the taller the woman is, the prettier she is. I'm 5'6 and my husband loves my height.

In Brazil, where I was born, tall women are goddesses. LOL.

Admire yourself and appreciate your beauty.

Is 5'9 too tall to be a figure skater?

I keep seeing people on here saying things like 'oh I'm 5'5 I'm way too tall to be a figure skater' and I'm nearly 5'9 and about to take it up, lol. I've heard that coaches discourage taller girls from skating because it doesn't look as graceful and is much harder to learn jumps. Is there perhaps a similarly tall female figure skater out there that can give me some advice? I've never seen a famous female figure skater my height

I am 14 years old and 170cm tall and weigh 57kg. Am I too fat?

No, you're not, you're perfectly fine.
Just stop comparing yourself to celebrities and skinny people.
You're at a perfectly healthy weight and no where near fat.

I'm 172cm tall. What should my weight be?

Your ideal weight would depend on your age, gender, health issues if any.

Am I too fat and tall, old to start figure skating?

You're neither too tall, too fat or too old. Well, the latter - you are too old for the olympics (e.g. Tara Lipinski was already olympic champion at your age, you're never going to make up for the "lost years" anymore to still make it to international level), but there's skating competitions at all kinds of levels and ages so you're certainly not too old for that. Like over 99.9% of skaters are hobby skaters and not people who make their competition results their living, anyway.

Besides, if you start skating and you get to the point of jumping, you'll lose some of that weight automatically (or at least expect to lose a size, maybe two when fat gets converted to muscle). Because of your weight, you will need harder boots though when you start jumping. If someone of 40 kilos *might* have enough with risport etoile up to and including the lutz, you'll need rf4, etc. Because of your height, I'd also recommend crash pants (you can buy those at skating stores or online) and possibly wrist guards (the kind for inline skating will do) to wear whenever practicing new jumps, because falling hard lots is really not good for your body, and when you're tall, you fall harder.

Btw, skaters are not per se thin. Here's Irina Slutskaya (two olympic silvers I think, or one silver one gold, can't remember)

Here's Tonya Harding, one of the few women in the world who ever did a triple axel, medals at worlds and 4th at olympics:
