What is it like living in Doha, Qatar?

There is just a large possibility that I might move there. I'm 13 and I live in the USA now, and it wouldn't be soo strange moving because I have already lived in another country before, so I don't think adjusting will be tooo hard. I'd just like to know a few things. If you live/lived there or have ever gone to Doha or somewhere nearby.
Is it possible to get on a girls soccer team there?
Are the beaches nice to swim at, or are they too hot or something most of the time?
If I lived there would I HAVE to learn Arabic or does everyone speak English fairly well (I really don't think I could learn Arabic, it seems like a very difficult language)?
How is shopping there? I mean, could I go to good quality clothes stores that aren't majorly expensive designer things?
Are the people there nice to Americans or is there any kind of prejudice going on? (no offense to anyone, I really know nothing and I wouldn't want to be caught off guard)
My dad says they block 3 things on the internet there: pornography, things that offend Islam, and things that offend the Emir's family. Would an online school fall under any of these categories? (I go to one and would not want to quit it)
Where are good vacation places that are not 15 hours away in the airplane?

Hopefully someone can answer this I would appreciate it a lot! thanks!

Living in UAE vs. Living in Qatar?

You act as if Doha is a village. Qatar is already "moving fast toward the future". Did you not see them win the bid for the 2022 FIFA cup? What did Abu Dhabi do? They built another amusement park.

Firstly, the money. Qatar is cheaper than the UAE, so your money will go farther. Keep that in mind. It really depends on how much you spend. With 40,000 you can definitely live comfortably in Doha.

As for the city, have you even been to Doha? What do you mean Dubai and Abu Dhabi are not comparable to Doha? They are incredibly similar! I live in Doha and have tons of friends that have moved to Doha from the UAE. All of them agree that Doha is better than Abu Dhabi, and that its more like Dubai than Abu Dhabi. Having visited all 3 cities, I say the same. To be honest, both the Qatar and the UAE are so similar its not really a big change. Same heat, same desert, same skyscrapers.

Its actually not really a matter of which one is "better". Each city has its own "vibe" I guess. Moving from AD to Doha will be different, and you may not like it at first, but after a few months you will see the 2 cities are very similar.
Dubai (and Abu Dhabi somewhat) are trying to achieve a wow factor, and to attract tourists through outrageous stunts. Doha is setting itself up for long term sustainability, by being the region's sports, art/culture, and political hub. My prediction is that in the long run, Dubai will burn out, and its 15 minutes of fame will be over. Beyond tall buildings and big malls, it really has nothing to offer. As for Abu Dhabi, its falling behind Doha and Dubai in the race.

I think you need to get your facts straight. You obviously have a messed up perception of Doha. Go visit Doha, and then see what you think of it. It will be different, but you may like it (or it may be the same).

What are the things I should know before moving to Qatar?

Praveen Kumar Nagaraj's answer to What is it like in Qatar?Hope this answers and helps you as well.

I am hoping to do a CTC MPL (Qatar Airways) and was looking taking a BBVA pilot training loan. Will i be paying back while training? Thanks?

I am hoping to do one of CTC Wings Airline Programmes(Qatar Airways) and was looking at the option for the BBVA pilot training loans. Can anyone advise me on whether it is worth taking such huge amounts for flight training as a loan since i may be working for Qatar airways. Thanks

I am about to move to Qatar. How is the lifestyle, working culture, and food?

I feel this may be a little late. Never the less I will try to provide for you some of the knowledge and tips that I've acquired over my life time here in hopes that it will help you during your stay here.I moved to Qatar in my early teens, and have been here for 7 years now and am about to finish university here so I feel that I'm qualified to comment on the expat lifestyle. What is remarkable about Qatar is the incredible diversity you experience on a daily basis. In most conversations in my university or workplace it is almost guaranteed that every single person is from a different ethnic background. With that brings so many different and wonderful aspects of culture to the table. You can eat the food from a different culture everyday if you try hard enough. And learn from the experiences of all your colleagues and peers.Working life is dependent on your profession. If you're in a high intensity job I can imagine life isn't very relaxing (but it wouldn't be anywhere in that case). As for my parents they are able to enjoy themselves and spend their evenings doing as they wish - going for walks on the corniche, going out to dinner, to yoga class, etc. I would say that lifestyle is very relaxing if you have the means to do so.I know, however, that the country can seem a little dull if you don't have a car to get around. Taxis and personal drivers are a little tedious and the lack of public transport certainly makes travel a little difficult. If you don't have a car find friends that will be able to take you places to do things together. My biggest tips are finding a hobby, or something you regularly enjoy. There is many different expat communities with different interests so find your thing and make it a regular part of your week. It helps you to meet new people and expand your personal community. Secondly, take advantage of any opportunities you're presented with. You'd be surprised what you can do here if you say YES to things (ie. abseiling in Zirkreet, kayaking in the mangroves, quad biking in the dunes, swimming in Dukhan, visiting farms, horse races and much more).Hope this helps and I hope Qatar feels like a home to you.
