American Apparel Return Policy

How do i make my "easy jeans" from american apparel shrink?

It looks like American apparel jeans are mostly made from 100% cotton (typical jean material). Cotton shrinks with heat (unless they've been preshrunk). Wash them in hot water and throw them in the dryer. If they are still too big, take them to a tailor. Your parents/grandparents probably already know of a skilled tailor near you.

HELP!!!!! Need to shrink an american apparel t-shirt!!!!?

I ordered a white, screenprinted, American Apparel t-shirt. They told me to order a size bigger since their sizes run small. Also, they said that this shirt has a slimmer cut than normal t-shirts. I wear my tees on the tight side to cover up the fact that I'm thin. Well i recieved it today, tried it on and it was too big. So i threw it in the wash on warm water and warm dryer. It didnt shrink at all. Is there any way I can still shrink it without ruining the screenprint? It's too late to return it because i have already washed it. I just want to know if I can shrink it or send them a complaint.

Does anyone know American Apparel's in-store return policy?

When you buy it that's it! No returns except for very specific exceptions! I bought a shirt and I spill ed milk on it and it got COMPLETELY stains so they let me return it. It sucks but we just have to live with it! They do allow exchanges/store credit though.
Hope this helped!

American Apparel return question?

I think she would have to exchange it, since AA has to send it back to her too. Less fuss this way.

Send an invoice, a brief reason why, and they're more than happy to make an exchange. Pay return shipping. And wait a few days.

I didn't get a confirmation email from American Apparel, will my order still ship?

I ordered a Legalize Gay shirt on Tuesday 4/13/10 and I thought everything was okay, but I guess you're supposed to get a confirmation email? If I didn't get this, do I need to contact them so they can send me one, or will my order still ship?

What is it like to work at American Eagle Outfitters?

My experience of working at American Eagle Outfitters is at the corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.Working at American Eagle Outfitters was a shocking experience. It was early in my career when I made the move from a corporate medical device company to work at AE. When I was interviewing my friend who was interning there told me, "Do not wear a suit." It took a while for him to convince me to fight all the trained interview practices I had learned over 7 years, but I was extremely happy I heeded the advice. In the interview I had that first day with the EVP of eCommerce, Fred Grover, he was wearing shorts and sandals. The company was filled with young people. Many people working there fit exactly the model customer demographic. There are amazing fun company events that cater well to this under 30 age group. People wore alot of AE clothes because of both the discount and culture. The company had some challenges with their internal growth and development. Merchants are king, at least in corporate HQ. They drive the business and thus the company culture revolves around them. There isn't a strong development track for employees. Poaching is rampant amongst the top apparel retailers, so you see people jump from Urban Outfitters, to Victoria's Secret, to Abercrombie, to AE, and around and around. So the industry is setup for growth to happen in transitions, not through internal development. This was frustrating for many after a few years, but understandable too. In merchandising there just aren't as many positions at the top and leadership doesn't cycle fast enough, so the younger talent will be forced to make tough decisions on leaving or waiting out for internal growth.I had an amazing experience working at American Eagle Outfitters and to this day it still stands as a massive foundation to the apparel, retail, and eCommerce work experience I have today.
