An Animal Whose No Blood But Resist

Muslims...What is the logic of animal sacrifice in Islam?

No logic. Just old ignorant ways. Animals consume more than vegetables and veg tables feed more people ,so what logic could there possibly be for that cruelty ? None. Become vegetarians before your children starve because the animals consume everything. It is coming !

What animals can resist bullets, and how?

No animal can resist a powerful enough round BUT some animals can stop lesser rounds. And the weakest round is a 9mm bullet. Because the question is about bullets. Honey badgers, lions, tigers and bears have a hide tough enough to stop a 9mm bullet. Then we have crocodile backs, which can stop more powerful rounds. And slightly tougher is hippo hide, with rhino hide being even tougher, and elephant hide even tougher than that, able to stop anything except a Magnum 45. That’s a job for a tortoise shell. And then we have whale hide. Sperm whale particularly, has a hide so tough that it can stop even an AK-47.

Why do sickle cell anemia patients get resistant to malaria?

Sickle cell Anemia is a genetic disease with impaired Hemoglobin structure, the protein that carries oxygen in the blood, to the tissues.Distorted Hemoglobin in sickle cell anemia, once de-oxygenated in tissues(not carrying oxygen), clumps together with other de-oxygenated hemoglobin and form long chains rendering sickle shape to the RBC instead of their normal smooth disc shape. These distorted RBCs block the blood vessels and thereby the flow of blood to the vital organs of the patient’s body leading to several complications. The Normal (N) or sickle cell(S) hemoglobin tend to deoxygenate due to a physiological principle named"Bohr effect" taken after the name of the scientist who discovered it. According to this principle, if N or S Hemoglobin is placed in an acidic or High CO2 environment, the hemoglobin will deoxygenate or release oxygen.RBCs(whether with normal or sickle cell hemoglobin) containing malarial parasites are induced by the parasite to produce acidic environment as they metabolize food and form CO2 as waste product which in turn in RBCs acqueous environment produces acidic environment which by way of Bohr effect causes deorxygenation of hemoglobin, its clumping, forming long chains resulting in sickle shapd RBCs.The genetic change that causes Sickle cell anemia, renders protection against malaria at the same time.Sickle cell anemia patients are endowed with one protection amongst many setbacks, which is “Protection against Malaria”. It happens because of the following two reasons:The body of Sickle cell anemia patients sense the distorted RBC and tries to eliminate them as many as possible, through spleen. If the distorted RBcs are inhabited by the malarial parasite then they are too destroyed.Once sickle shaped, the RBC cell membrane tends to stretch far too much thereby making its membrane porous. It results in leakage of nutrients such as Potassium from the cells which are essential for the survival of the malarial parasites. In nutshell, since Sickle shaped RBC are poor host to the malarial parasite and the parasites die in sickle shaped RBCs. Patients with sickle cell hemoglobin are resistant to Malaria.Know moreBone Marrow Transplant for Sickle cell disease

What is the animal with the strongest immune system?

SharksAs “perfect” is a very strong word, I will use the word “complex”. The immune system of sharks is one of the most complex and developed within the animal kingdom. There are too many myths about sharks never getting sick, being totally immune to cancers and using them in the treatment of human cancer. Sharks are apex predators and have been on earth for a few hundred million years, in fact the shark immunity has evolved to efficiently resist some cancers, however it is not proven to be so resistant against all of them or even other types of diseases, but yet you could say with some certainty that it is the animal with the strongest immune system.Sources:Cancer and the Shark Immune SystemShark Immunity Evolved to Efficiently Resist CancerShark Immunity Genes May Hold Secrets That Can Ultimately Benefit Humans

How can I resist the urge to eat meat?

Make sure you're getting enough protein from plant-based sources, and eating it with complex carbohydrates. It might take a little time before you stop craving meat. After all, you've been eating it for all this time, and this is a major shift that is difficult to undertake overnight. You can do this, but it will take time and research. If it's just boredom and the familiarity of a meat-based diet that are throwing you for a loop, well, what other options do you have? Are there veggie-friendly foods in your house? Do your parents support your choice, are they helping you? It may just be the case that you just need to do the best you can (whatever that means) until you have a chance to research proper plant-based nutrition, find recipes and plan meals, and go shopping.

I've been happily macrobiotic for four years. It wasn't easy in the beginning, and took a lot of research and adjusting. But now I'm much healthier (my doctors agree) and happier, and have no desire for meat whatsoever.

Which animals are largely immune to poisons?

Look to the scavenging animals for your answer.  Humans rate high on the list.  Our livers are about four times the size of an equivalent non-scavenging animal of the same size.   Our livers are responsible for processing poisonous compounds and neutralizing them. Turkey buzzards have even larger livers (per body weight) than humans. We can drink alcohol, for example, in quantities that would kill other animals.  Even a tiny bit of chocolate is poisonous for dogs.  We actually prefer rotted meat (it's called "aged") (OK, that's not really poisonous).  Avocados are poisonous to birds.  Many of our flavourful herbs come from leaves and seeds of plants in the Apiaceae family like celery, carrots and fennel.  Polyacetylenes in these plants have cytotoxic activities which we can tolerate but other animals can't.

An animal species where the male is dominant?

Chimpanzees and many other primates live in male-dominated societies. Orang-utan males are even known to rape females - around half of all orang-utan births are thought to be the result of rape. The reason for this is that orang-utans are largely solitary, and when a female comes into heat it is often a young male who finds her first. She does not want to mate with a young male, but with an adult, dominant male who has proved the quality of his genes by surviving, and will resist the young male's advances, but he will force her.

In response to some of your other answers, I must point out that lions cannot really be said to live in a male-dominated society. Female lions form the core of the pride, do the majority of the hunting, and raise the young. The role of the males is to protect the pride from invading males - the average tenure of males with a pride is between two and three years. After this time they are usually ousted by new males. There is no heirarchy in a lion pride as there is in, for example, a wolf pack - there is no 'alpha lion' who leads the others. Males are certainly larger and stronger than females, and may claim 'the lion's share' of the kill, but it is just as common for the whole pride to pitch in and feed together on a carcass.

Christians; If God knew beforehand that Jesus would rise from death, then where's the "sacrifice"?

Yeah... that's pretty whacky, alright... but THIS is the part of this hootenanny that gets me...

The god of the Abrahamic death cults of desert monotheism (Jehovah) was often 'appeased' by blood sacrifice. It is well documented in the Wholly Babble that he thoroughly enjoyed a good barbecue... and that a generous serving of blood COULD get him to change his mind. In the incident that you are referring to, though, he set up his own son/self to be cruelly tortured and suffer a gruesome and agonizing death... in a perverse public spectacle of blood sacrifice... to APPEASE HIMSELF.

Now I sure don't want to be blasphemous here... and I don't know about you... but where I come from, folks tend to think that this kind of behavior is sympomatic of some kind of mental disorder.

Oh... yeah... and BELIEVING that this sort of thing is somehow 'good' is ALSO symptomatic of some kind of mental disorder. Well... either that, or it is irrefutable evidence of brainwashing. GOT to be one or the other.

P.S.: Looking over these other answers... it is absolutely bizarre that so many people have been deceived by this depraved fiction. Don't you people get it?... you are the VICTIMS of a 1,700 year-old con game.

OK... you all need to think about this... REALLY THINK... this is how badly these people have screwed up your minds. You dismiss all of the thousands of OTHER gods and godesses as myths and superstitions. You dismiss all of the OTHER supernatural entities who are claimed to be the creator of the world and the universe. You dismiss all the OTHER stories of how everything has come to be. But get this... MANY of those entities, those stories, are LESS ridiculous that the one the one that YOU cling to.

You believe that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who is his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced, by a talking snake with legs, to eat a piece of fruit from a magical tree... (etc.)... and that there is something horribly wrong with people who ARE NOT so gullible and droolingly stupid as to believe such outrageously ridiculous codswallop...

... and you DO NOT have the mental acuity to realize that this is INSANE.

How does rat poison kill humans?

There is no single entity called “rat poison”.Rats have lived in proximity to humans since ancient times. They've shared our food, and contaminated it as well. They've brought plagues from the wild into our cities, and then shared their fleas with us, giving US the plague!Rodenticides include many types: Arsenic, red squill, fluoracetamide, '1080', arsenic, but the most widely used today are the anticoagulants.  Anticoagulants are materials which prevent the blood from clotting, and will cause a rat to bleed internally. The Wisconsin Alumni Research Federation (WARF) developed the first successful anticoagulant and called it Warfarin. It was marketed more than half a century ago as a relatively 'safe' rodenticide, against which rodents were not able to develop resistance.  Needless to say, resistance did develop (never be so arrogant as to think you can outsmart Mother Nature!). Since then numerous synthetic anticoagulants have been developed, and as rodents develop resistance to them, other versions are developed.  There are real benefits to the Warfarin group. Traditional 'poisons' can be accidentally eaten by other animals or even children, with unfortunate consequences. With the anticoagulants, the body weight is critical, and it is quite unlikely that really harmful quantities could be accidentally eaten by children when the bait stations are used and maintained as recommended. We use Warfarin in human medicine - as an anticoagulant to help dissolve blood clots, and even prevent them forming. One of the other characteristics of anticoagulant use is that the rodent creates more odours! The reason is that when an animal poisoned by arsenic or one of the other rodenticides is near death, it searches for water, and the carcass can be found in the open, near a drain or gully. With anticoagulants, the animal does not seek water, and will crawl away into dark recesses of the warehouse or home, hidden from sight but not from your nose! The original question asked how rat poison kills humans. Every poison has its own characteristics, minimum dose, LD-50 dose, chronic or acute toxic effects, etc. Warfarin in high enough doses causes bleeding internally.
