My ankle hurts and I didn't do anything to it?

You might not have enough calcium and your bones may be weak. Drink milk and let it rest. It also could just fatigue if you've been walking a lot or been stressed.

Why do my ankles hurt when I run?

There could be numerous reasons ranging from your running shoes, to your running form, to fatigue. If it is a piercing pain, I would suggest seeing a doctor. Just remember that they are going to find something and recommend a treatment. Once you start a treatment plan, it will, likely become a reason to reduce your efforts. I would suggest using your downtime to get more rest for your ankles by staying off your feet as much as possible. I also think that you might need to simply get your running shoes evaluated. You might just need to run in something different. Again, there are a number of reasons for ankle pain when you run. The best answer is to start going through all possible reasons until you come to a workable solution.

Ankle hurts when I touch it?

So when I touch my ankle on the outside of my left foot, it hurts.. It feels like when you touch a bruise but it has a after pain. My left foot is the foot I recently sprained, and is still a little sprained. Does that tie back to my ankle sprain? And what should I do? (I get kicked and cleated A LOT on my ankles and there's millions of scars on them. There from soccer)

Why does my ankle hurt after running?

The only way you can get a reliable answer on this is seeing a doctor. I’m sorry, I’m sure that’s not what you want to hear, but it’s frankly irresponsible to offer you much of an answer beyond that.I’d strongly recommend two things: Stop running until you go see a doctor (some things that cause pain CAN cause permanent damage if you keep doing them) and try to choose a doctor who treats runners, or who runs him or herself. A lot of doctors who don’t run will tell you “stop running,” which is silly. You might get recommendations for a good doctor from other people who run, from a running coach, or from a running store. It’s highly unlikely that an ankle sprain as a child, even a relatively serious one, would leave you with anything permanently limiting. However you may need some treatment, like strengthening exercises or stretches, or a combination of both—or possibly ultrasound treatments, which help break up scar tissue—before you can run pain-free.You may also need different shoes. But trying to fix it yourself by guessing at the problem is likely to make the problem worse, and potentially cause permanent harm. A doctor will be able to tell you for sure.

Why does my ankle hurt when it rains?

i fractured my growth plate in my ankle about 1 year ago. then, as soon as it was healed, i stress fractured it, in the same spot . The orthapedic dr. told me that it was healed, but may hurt acasionally. It always hurts really bad when it is raining or right before it rains. please tell my why it only hurts during or before rain. sorry for any spelling errors. I predict that there is a huge rain storm comming!

Is it normal that my ankle still hurts after 8 months of a 2nd degree sprain?

Approximately 30% of people still have ankle pain 1 year after an ankle sprain[1] . That is not a necessary result, but one that increases in likelihood if you rely on rest, ice and just waiting it out.Sprained ankles simply do not heal on their own. You need to actively follow a good ankle rehab program, which includes removing swelling and improving healthy circulation to bring much needed immune cells into the injured area to repair muscle tissue. And then, you need to do a variety of well thought out exercises and stretches to rebuild strength, stability and range of motion in the ankle.I recommend the H.E.M. Ankle Rehab System (which you can follow along with step by step videos and do entirely at home) or go see a qualified physical therapist. Either way, please take an active role in healing your ankle or it simply will not get better.I realize that you have an older injury, but rehab is definitely the way to go. Just take it slowly and gently as you go through the steps, to see how your ankle responds. Work through breaking up the scar tissue and slowly building up strength, stability and healthy range of motion and you should start to see excellent healing resuts.I hope that helps!Footnotes[1] http://Margo KL (12/08). Why does my ankle hurt when it rains?

It is probably arthritic pain exacerbated by changes in barometric pressure.[1]Footnotes[1] Why Do Old Injuries Ache When It Rains?

Why does my ankle hurt only when i stand up?

Inflammation or swelling reduces when your leg is elevated. When your leg is lower than your heart (standing), the inflammation flows into your foot again, pushes outward agaist the healing tissues, and hurts until those tissues have stretched to accomodate the extra fluid. It will hurt less and less as you heal. Check with your orthopedist if it's ok to exercise your ankle range of motion non weight bearing before you get up: gentle ankle circles. This motion may ease the pain of tissue expansion when you get up. Patience is the key, Brian.

My ankle hurts when I bend it a certain way, why?

First off, I hope you're resting that ankle. If it swelled then something's wrong. You need to let it heal, give it a rest. If it's still swollen you should go see a doctor immediately. If it isn't swollen anymore you should have a doctor look at it to see if it's damaged in any way. It sounds like you just twisted, or you may have over stretched the tendons. If you did indeed hurt the tendons you should probably get used to the pain. I fell off a curb with a 30 pound weight strapped to my back and I stretched the tendons on both my ankles. To this day I have some trouble after standing for too long, or walking over 3 miles. Usually my foot will, for lack of a better word, collapse inward. It only causes minor discomfort, but I usually tend to lose my balance from the misstep.

Get it checked out, with rest and (at worst) physical therapy you should be fine.
