Answer A.s.a.p. Before A Work Out Should I Take

My heart rate was 158 when I was working out!?

About 8 months ago I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I found this out by having a fast resting heart rate of 128. It would give me anxiety and lightheadedness. I had an EKG and my heart seemed fine.
But when I went to work out on the treadmill today, I used the heart rate setting and it said my heart rate was 158. I freaked out and got off of the treadmill. Does this have to do with my thyroid? Is that a normal heart rate? Should I be concerned? Or am I freaking out for nothing?
Im 20 and weigh 126 lbs. I take my thyroid medication regularly and I have just starting working out again this week.

Will my tattoo fade if I work out?

I have a tattoo accross my stomach and I am gonna get it redone do to somethings that happen in the past I couldn't finish it. Should I get it redone before or after I get back into shape? If I decide to do it after I've been going to the gym I will do it like 3-6 months . But I kinda wanna get asap just to get it over with.

Should I workout before or after dinner?

definitely before you eat dinner - It takes several hrs for your body to digest and absorb the food that you just ate. You want you stomach empty (or nearly empty) while working out. If your workouts are intense you could even experience some degree of nausea if you've just eaten. Also, you want the blood to be pumping nutrients to your muscle fibers and not working to help complete digestion. Furthermore, by eating after your working you will further aid in muscle recovery. Glycogen (sugar) stores in muscle tissue are low after a workout and immunity is decreased leaving you susceptible to illness. You want to replenish glycogen stores asap and this also speeds your bodies recovery time from an intense workout.

If you are hungry and need an energy boost pre-workout eat just a small about before hand - a small banana or a 1/2 cup of cottage cheese or yogurt with a glass of water.

Protein shake after workout: immediately or hour?

I've been taking a protein shake basically right after working out, but I've read recently in a few places like here and some articles on bodybuilding.com to take protein an hour after working out. What I'm looking for isn't just some votes on which one but hopefully someone might explain WHY one would be better than the other, or that it's really not that important at all so long as you do it fairly soon after exercising.

Is it okay to workout before my tattoo appointment?

Tomorrow i have my tattoo appointment. I'm so ready for this however its on a day when i have to workout I hate missing any gym day to work out. Is it okay to workout before getting my tattoo?

Should i take muscle milk before bed if i just took it after working out 4 hours ago?

Muscle milk is ideal before bed. It is not really an ideal post workout shake though. Here's why.....It contains a good deal of healthy fat. Fat is excellent for bedtime with protein because it slows the absorbtion and allows your body to be fed protein at a slower more constant rate throughout the night. Try and stick with a straight whey protein isolate post workout for fast absorption. If you can't afford to buy both then muscle milk isn't the end of the world but not ideal. HaHa........should have read last poster's response before typing all this. Yes.....like he said.

So, I am going to go out with some friends and this chick I know. Me and her hooked up (like made-out) the first night we were introduced. We havent been on the same page since that night though because we tried to setup a date multiple times but our schedules didnt work out.
