What are some heavy metal bands that are really good but not many people have heard of?

If yes, then read further.Heavy metal is the elementary form of metal music from which other genres have been derived. I have been listening to this genre since quite some time and have across some really amazing bands. Check their most heard albums and tracks below.1) Manilla Road - Crystal Logic. Period. One of the finest metal albums of the 20th century. All tracks stand out. Suggested Manilla Road tracks - Necropolis, Crystal Logic, Divine Victim2) Accept - Restless and Wild, Balls to the Wall, Objection Overruled - all metal classics and one of my favorite heavy metal bands. Suggested tracks - Balls to the wall, Princess of the dawn, Neon Knights.3) Riot - Thundersteel. One of the finest power metal albums. Do check their latest album as well - Unleash the Fire. Suggested tracks - Swords and tequila, Thundersteel, Metal Warrior.4) Cirith Ungol - They have released only four albums and they are unique. If you are into fantasy stuff, you would love their work. Recommended album - King of the dead.5) Saxon - One of the finest NWOBHM bands. Why is the metal scene in Bangalore deteriorating?
The global metal scene is deteriorating not just Bangalore. And the real reason is that we have lost touch with the roots. Contradicting the Anonymous person’s answer you can never get over classic traditional heavy metal. Black sabbath, Priest , Maiden are still relevant years after their debut came out. If you ask me sabbaths albums staring from Black Sabbath to Sabotage is like the heavy metal grammar book. If you ask any GOOD modern metal band with the likes of Lamb of God who their influences were you will see the Grandads of metal being mentioned constantly. You can not make good sweetmeats if you have no idea of sugar. Everone now tries to more BROOTAL more loud more “Technical” to the point that they neglect the very essence of Heavy metal music. Many modern metallers have no idea about NWOBHM except Iron Maiden. Angel Witch, Witchfinder General, Praying Mantis, Tank…who????????? If my answer seems confusing let me be more simple. Bands now decide their genres before making music. They want to play thrash, djent , death and if they are fucking confused they call it experimental. Bands previously wanted to be just metal nothing else. And in this process they gathered their influence and made it their own and critics and fans decide their genre. Black sabbath never wanted to play Heavy Metal as such this term wasnt even coined back then. They just played their hearts out. Same goes for all good bands. Music is not about brutality or technicality. Its all about expressing your emotions in the purest form. And many modern bands suck at this, BIG TIME.
