What is the perfect workout routine for a 14-year-old who wants to get stronger and fitter?

At this age! You have many options for getting fitter and stronger!You can indulge yourslef in any sports like football, basketball, hockey, cricket, volleyball or lawn tennis!Apart from that!You can start doing swimming!Swimming will also help you in gaining the height and due to swimming, your body will be lean and toned up with time!And you can also start bodyweight exercises!!The best combo would be- swimming & bodyweight exercises both!You can do one from the above in morning and the other in the evening!In bodyweight exercises!You can do:•PUSH UP•PULL UPS (WIDE GRIP AND CLOSE GRIP)•SQUATS•BURPEES•LEG RAISES•PLANKYou can do these exercises with 3–4 sets with 10 reps or 30 seconds for plankDo these on two days, then take one day rest!After a few weeks, you can add more exercises and more sets of these too!But you have to maintain a protein rich diet!Exclude the sweet and sugary food items from your diet completely at least for 4 weeks! How do fat and out-of-shape people make it through basic training?

When I joined in 1974, I was 5′8″ and 245 lbs. After we met our Drill SGT., he divided us in two groups. After he was done, he explained, “Over here I have my athletes - fine specimens of young men- MY ADONIS’ … AND over here I have my PILSBURY DOUGHBOYS ! Gentlemen, and this will be the last time I will call you f**k’n maggots Gentlemen!!!IN 12 WEEKS TIME, YOU WILL BE MY ‘OTHER’ ADONIS’ !!! …NOW STRIP DOWN TO YOUR SKIVVIES AND PUT YOUR PONCHO ON!” We did and then he told us to get DRESSED OVER TOP OF THE PONCHO!!!I think he was the one that invented the ‘SAUNA SUIT’. We did that every day and the only thing we could eat was SALADS -NO DRESSINGS- just rabbit and squirrel food and water.The fat melted off and at the Graduation… I weighed 155 lbs. and then I went to get a thick steak and baked potato!!!I kept it off all these years. The most I weighed since then was 180 lbs. but took it off soon after.

Is 400 pushups and 400 situps every day a good workout?

No, 400 pushups and sit ups is not a good workout. Are you looking to lose weight? Build muscle? Whatever you're looking to achieve, you need cardio in your workout (at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes). Yes, pushups and sit ups help in gaining muscle but 400 is a bit too much! Aim for 100 or less and do other strength training workouts. Lift weights or use machines maybe. And please take a day or two off from exercising or you will be hurting your body.

Do you think INSANITY WORKOUT will get me fit for the navy seals?!!?

Doing "INSANITY WORKOUT" may only get you a SEAL Challenge Contract, but it does not guarantee that you will make it through the entire pipeline.

Many people pay so much attention on just the physical aspect of the training that they tend to forget about the importance of having the mental-toughness to get through a long and grueling pipeline.

To get through any of the NSW/NSO Trainings, it takes 10% physical, 90% mental, & 100% teamwork.

How fast will i drop weight if i burn 800 calories per day?

You need calcium in your diet, that's for sure. Starving yourself will not help you lose weight; it will only slow your metabolism and turn your muscle to fat. You should also have a healthier breakfast to kick start your metabolism and burn more fat throughout the day. I would suggest adding a hard-boiled egg and a small bowl of Cheerio's or shredded wheat with skim milk to your breakfast.

In addition to that, you should vary your workout. Just because the machine says you're burning 400 calories does not make it so. If your body gets to used to the workout, it will not burn as much fat. The best thing to do is add variety to your cardio workout. Instead of using the treadmill every day, go swim a few laps or ride a bike for about 30 minutes or so. Add strength-training to your exercise as well, as that is the most effective way to burn fat. You don't necessarily need to go lift weights or anything, just add some push-ups and sit-ups before every workout.

How to lose 20 pounds of fat for the marines?

I just accomplished the same stated fact in less than a month. Not hard. Totally switch your diet. Here is all you need to eat: Fish and sea food, alot of it. That was my main protein source. Eggs and chicken are another, eggs for breakfast and chicken so you can switch up the diet. MAKE SURE YOU ADD VEGGIES TOO if not you could get mercury poisoning from the large ammount of fish. I always had romaine lettuce with every serving of fish. Then also add, carrots cabbage celury broccoli and tomato. Now just switching what you eat wont be the only thing. PORYION CONTROL make the amount of rotein from fish half the circumferance of your fist and eat as much veggies and fruit as you want. NO POTATOES. Work out as well. Run. Try to burn 400calories a day AT minimium. Working out only gets rid of about 20% of your fat and dieting gets the other 80%. My hardest problem with weight has been dieting with portion control. it sucks dick at first but is worth it if you are dedicated twords it. Remember six SMALL FIST SIZED MEALS PER DAY OF FISH OR CHICKEN. Good luck

I'm wanting to join the military but, im WAY out of shape and dont know what branch I want to join.?

I am an eight year veteran of the corps and I got news for you kid. ROTC doesn't mean jack in the real military, espescially the Marine Corps, and in boot camp it wouldn't get you any special privleges over someone with no ROTC, so it really wouldn't help so don't worry about that. With the exception of the wieght issue, I have been exactly where your at right now and joined for all the same reasons that you are wanting to join for. I can tell you its a big deal and you need to head the warnings that will come from your freinds and family and think about what they are telling you. I had joined straight out of high school just like you want to and honestly I wish I had given myself time to see what else was out there and get some type of job skills before signing up. More than likely your not going to learn any job skills that will transfer out here,its things like that you want to think about before just jumping into this thing, because more than likely you will be getting out when your time is up, trust me on that one. The Marine Corps will train you and mature you in the way they want you to be, once again not something that will really help out here in the real world. Bootcamp is miserable, your always hungry, tired and sick, and you get to smell the feet and butt crack of your neighbor all day. your motivations are good but you really have no clue what your getting yourself into, check out this link and it will explain things better about military life.
