How good is the Netflix "Instant Movie Streaming" selection?
The selection is okay. We use the instant streaming a lot in our house because on the weekends my husband is often playing a video game and so we have our 4 year old watch something on netflix on the ipad or a laptop. It's a pretty good selection for kids. Whenever me or my husband look at the instant watch movies, we usually can not find something we really want to watch. I can always find something in a pinch, it's not going to be a new release though. Just to give you an idea, I have 124 movies currently in my netflix queue, 81 of them are available for instant streaming. That's actually a higher number than usual - I think they might be getting more stuff available. As to the pricing, yes they changed their prices. I just got an email today notifying me of a price change. My plan which is 3 out at a time plus unlimited instant streaming will go from $16.99 to $19.99 and yes, 1 at time + streaming just went to $9.99. I won't change anything. I've been a netflix subscriber for over 7 years now and I've been happy with them the whole time.
Is Netflix worth it? good selection of shows/movies?
yes netflix i worth 8 dollars a month. the only problem i have is that it does not work on my samsung precedent phone. its works great on the wii and it has everything from disney channel shows to documentaries to scary movie to tv series. the only thing that annoys me about it is that you cannot instantly stream most popular new releases or classic Disney movies.
How good is the Netflix online selection?
I did the same thing a few months ago and have been using Netflix Watch Now. The selction is mostly older or 'B' movies but they do have classics and some newer ones. I watched '...Spotless Mind' a while ago. They also have History Channel Docs and other special interest videos. There is a great search by category and genre feature and the movie quality is better than any other download or streaming source I have found. I have unlimited movies for $16.99/month and I also get 3 DVD'd at a time. In Atlanta, I get the movies in about 2 days turn around time. I think it is worth it. If you find someplace better, let me know. I also rent on-line at Movielink. Great quality but takes a little while (20 mins or so) to download. I cain't wait until the networks start broadcasting on the internet.

Are there any good anime movies on youtube?
I'm so specific because that Zync movie sharing on Yahoo messenger only allows yahoo and youtube video. (Which is a pain in the *** and makes it that much more difficult to find something to watch.) My long distance friend and I try to spend time by watching movies together like this but the selection in getting thin now. I find this time with him very special. Any suggestions and possible links would make me happy. Thank you.
Because it is a separate license from shipping the physical DVDs.When a movie owner makes a film available for streaming on Netflix, they are explicitly lowering the value of that film to other possible distributors. HBO/SHowtime/Cinemax/Starz etc will not be willing to pay as much for the right to roll a film on their networks if it's available on Netflix. Hulu and other ad supported sites will see lower ad revenue for titles available via streaming. Obviously Pay-Per-View and cable supported VOD models take a big hit too, as will sales of that movie on iTunes and Amazon.Netflix generally is paying a lump sum for streaming rights, not a pay-per-view model. So, if you own the rights to a movie, making that film available on Netflix destroys significant value and lowers overall long term revenue possibilities. Thus, you take the cash from the highest bidders 1st, and once all the folks that are willing pay decent, real sums have coughed up their cash and have their fill, you can dump the film on Netflix for one last hurrah. Once it's up on Netflix streaming, you basically destroy all other revenue models.
