Any Horror Story Ideas/plots

Any Horror Story Ideas?

Yes. I have a great idea. This is a website that features actual reported haunting in all 50 states. Check it out - you may find there is one right in your town!! I was shocked to read my former college dorm was listed. It would be cool to add an actual local haunting to your story. Then you could tell your class about it. It would even be cool to visit there on Halloween! Just look up your state.

They're, Their, There - Three Different Words.

Careful or you may wind up in my next novel.

What are some good horror story plot ideas?

Quantum reality shift in people as scientists mess with entanglement.

Books that can evolve into lifeforms and attack people by tricking them with words.

Clocks that are living like the books and change into people when nobody is around or when they want to cause harm.

Mirror world that can effect this one without us knowing. Kinda like a race of aliens that have god powers over us but never let us find out.

People created by an evil god same world as today's but with evil and more evil.

Time stops for a person and then restarts with them being put into ever incressingly harmful problems.

A person is let lose on the world that has been trained to live at all costs even if that means killing and eating his prey in any form. But that person does not have the intelligence to live peacefuly in a normal enviorment so they are constantly killing and eating weaker things. Take it from that persons perspective on how much life hates life itself.

The screwtape letters reversed. A demon that is trying to figure out why its working for satan to trick humans but has to fight both satan and the human it was tricking.

Is this a good plot for a horror story?

Sounds interesting
The flashbacks to the murder is good,
A suggestion;
Maybe the ghost can only rest when the black man (the ghosts lover) is freed from jail and proved innocent.
Maybe while possesed by the ghost, the hero is able to get a crucial clue/evidence of the murder. Then the hero feels she must act and prove the innocence of the ghosts lover,
maybe he ends up with the house in the end.

Just thought that would be cool. You have some good material, keep working at it.

If you could decide the plot for American Horror Story, what would it be about?

A grave is disturbed by a couple of 20-somethings out for a romantic picnic, and something that didn't fully die because of all of the preservatives in the fast food returns to terrorise the neighbourhood! Before it is mysteriously dusappears, it kills an entire sarority, then a frat house, dispatching people in scenes of untold scariness, in a sort of psychological thriller that redefines the Beowulf and Zombie genré.

STORY/ PLOT IDEAS PLEASE!!!?

Hi everyone :)
Soo I'm at home sick on a Friday night :(
Bored so I wanted to write a story
I love writing and poetry and such
By no means am I looking to get this published, it's just for fun
Problem is I don't have any story/plot ideas!
So my question is-what kind of book would you like to read? What would happen in it that drew you to the book? Any ideas?
thanks everyone! ^^
All ideas/advice welcome!

Any horror/mystery/romance type plot ideas?

Use subtle elements of gothic mood to make the reader feel uneasy (SUBTLE)

I have an idea that is kind of an extended version of Edgar Allen Poe's, "The Cask of Amontillado" where a man and his new aquaintance go on a caving trip. The friend slowly reveals that he has a secret vendetta against the man, so he goes from being a very friendly person to a psychpath. Kind of like Zaroff, Hans Landa, or Hanibal Lector.
Also, picture all of this going on in a dark closed up space.

What's your idea for a horror story or movie?

Those are really bizarre ideas, so please don’t write anything based on them, or maybe comedies. Very silly, silly horror comedies.A movie where ghosts are being chased by vengeful humans.A slasher movie where the entire town turns out to be the killer and the five typical teenagers are being brutally murdered in a striking finale by their english teachers and the gentle local baker.People trapped in a house where Iggy Azaela’s songs are being played on a loop. They try to escape but it kills them all. The End.A movie where the main protagonist is a demon who tries to make up for possessing people by befriending a little girl and buying her lots of stuff. Her parents don’t understand why there are suddenly so many toys in her room so she tries to prove to them that there’s her old demon in the room but he’s definitely a nice one. They don’t believe her, obviously, so she asks the demon to bring the toys to life to make her point. As you can imagine, that doesn’t make things any better.A movie set in Victorian London where all children suddenly turn completely evil and kill everybody. No one knows what’s going on and one detective who vividly hates children is asked to investigate the case. (This is genuinely creepy now that I think about it. Children are so creepy just when they’re being children so imagine when thousands of them are possessed…good times).A movie where Donald J. Trump is the presi… oh wait.

What are some dystopian short story ideas?

This idea came to me during my evening walk around the block with my dog. I don’t write fiction, but it would be awesome if someone took this idea and ran with it (and gave me a little credit for it):One day, while wheeling a patient to the morgue, the patient comes back to life. He has zero memory of being dead, but he was only dead for about 30 minutes. Then, a few hours later, another corpse in the morgue comes back to life with absolutely no memory of anything that happened after his death. No visions of Heaven or Hell or anything. Just like he went to sleep and woke up.Then, the next day, it happens to someone else in the morgue… Someone who died one day before the other two people. This is happening all over the world. Finally, people figure out the timing: people are returning to life in the reverse order in which they died. That means…… People who were recently buried need to be exhumed… quickly.Sure enough, on the third day of the event, people who died three days before the event started come back to life. Still, not a single one has any memory of anything that happened during death. There’s celebration as people who were recently mourning the loss of a loved one are reunited with them.Months roll by, and people keep coming back to life in the order in which they died.People slowly realize they’re going to have some problems. They’re exhuming bodies as quickly as possible. All of those “new” people have the same needs as everyone else. Supplies become scarce. People start to horde food and gas.A year into the phenomenon, and people who died two years earlier are coming back to life and encountering spouses who’ve remarried.Crime victims are able to ID their killers.Religious leaders don’t know what to make of any of this.In addition to coming back to life, people have also stopped dying.Scientists calculate the speed at which the human population is now booming, and realize that within a decade, there won’t be enough resources for everyone. But no one will die. They’ll just all be really miserable.Unless…They stop exhuming bodies. They let the people come back to life in their coffins, and stay buried in them forever, unable to die.

What are some good plot twists I could use for my short story?

The way to make a plot twist is to pick something that people totally take for granted, and then make that, not that. For example, in the classic thriller, Psycho, there are two notable plot twists [SPOILERS]:The first is that the viewer is led to believe that the protagonist of the movie is the actress Janet Leigh. Of course it is her. How could it not be? She is a famous actress, she's on all the posters. Gasp! How on Earth will she face the titular psycho and emerge the exhausted, but victorious, heroine? The twist is that she doesn't. She is killed off in the first half of the movie. Now that's a shocker! Can you imagine being in the audience when it first came out? A true WTF!The second twist is its infamous ending, in which the final reveal shows that Norman's mother has been dead all along, and that meek and mild Norman is one seriously sick weirdo. The title of the movie punches you right in the gut at that point.Another movie famous for its twist ending is Sixth Sense. The final reveal shows that something we'd been taking for granted the entire movie is the reverse. But it all completely makes sense and our mind suddenly whooshes back through all the scenes of the movie and sees them in a new light. You may have seen it coming, but even if you did, it is still a powerful twist. So that's all you need to do for your story. Subvert unconscious and deeply held expectations and assumptions. One of my most successful twitter horror stories was this one:"He took the little girl with the promise of sweets. They found the body a few days later ripped to shreds, but they never did find his head."With that one masculine possessive pronoun at the end, the entire understanding that you were building in your head while reading it gets flipped. Like a rug being pulled out from under your feet. It is the same process as a good joke. It is like staring at a Necker cube, your mind is forcefully flipped to seeing it another way. It is a "violation of expectations."
