Why are so many movies set in New York?
A few reasons, NYC has endless opportunity as far as free sets go. No need to build a set when you can find whatever you need within the 5 boroughs. I walk by new movie sets everyday. Sometimes I'm lucky enough to get my nod reciprocated from the star. NYC is home to movie-production companies similar to Hollywood, just a lot less glitzy. You probably don't even realize you're driving by them everyday on your way home. Production companies get huge tax-breaks to film here vs California. Many movie starts live here because NYC has everything you need. This is where it all began. Sure, California is where many end up moving, but NYC is the center of the arts, music, theater, you name it. We just don't get the great weather, which I don't mind. I don't want to get soft like them.
Good Drama/Romance movies?
I am looking for Drama/Romance movies where the couple cannot be together. It can be any genre, as long as the acting is good. Along the lines of: > Atonement > The Notebook > One Day > Becoming Jane > Memoirs of a Geisha > Beyond Borders I have watched A LOT of movies, so please try and surprise me. Any good anime series with 5 seasons+?
Most of the animes you dislike are the ones that hit the 5+ season block because they are very popular. Along that line try One Piece, Konjiki no Gash Bell, Saint Seiya, Detective Conan, Yutsurei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, Slayers (not 5+ seasons but very funny) Instead of going with quantity why not go with quality? Some of the best anime didn't rely on 5+ seasons to be memorable. Try Evangelion, Hellsing, Excel Saga, Ah my goddess, Shakugan no Shana, The melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Kimiga no Zomu Ein, R.O.D series, X TV, Scrapped princess. Extra: Seriously, nothing pleases you. You come here and ask for anime, we give you a lot of series and you are just not happy about it. Be happy with your anime that will be popular for 2 years.
