Actually, most television shows seem to involve rich people. In order for the characters to do things and have things that would be interesting to watch, they tend to live well beyond their means. For instance, despite being a bunch of young people with wishy washy jobs, the characters on Friends managed to live in nice apartments near Central Park in Manhattan. Running Wilde, though canceled, was a very funny sitcom about an insanely wealthy man. The Jeffersons is about a family who became rich. Fresh Prince of Bel Air focuses on a young man from West Philadelphia who moves in with his rich uncle's family. In Mad Men, many of the characters are upper class. Boardwalk Empire also features a man who practically owns Atlantic City. A really great drama that was all about a dysfunctional rich family was Dirty Sexy Money. It was cancelled, though.Arbitrage is a good new film about a wealthy person. Other People's Money is a classic. Arthur was funny. Blank Check, the kid become rich.

The best idea is to never put a baby or a toddler in front of a TV or computer screen. They need interaction with the real world. They need to be talked to, and played with. They need to be active and manipulate objects. These experiences form the foundation for later learning. Wait for a more appropriate age!

I'm a power reader of movie-related content on the Web. I see a lot of movies (probably 50+ per year), but I refuse to watch trailers. So I really need to rely on reviews and information online to guide my decisions.Rotten Tomatoes accounts for 70+% of my decision information. The RT composite score is a reasonably strong signal and the best I've found anywhere. The score is not bulletproof for me, but a strong high score or low score is pretty telling and reliable. I also like Rotten Tomatoes because they have all the movie reviews in one place, so I can quickly see what the New York Times, USA Today, etc. are saying I am not a Netflix user, but I've heard consistently from other folks that Netflix's recommendations are really good once you've been a customer for a while. On Quora, I've been getting increasingly good feedback from our power movie writers, including Mark Hughes. Mark has steered me to a couple of movies that I probably wouldn't have otherwise seen, including Green Lantern and Hanna, which were both among my favorites in 2011.

a tragic hero is a protagonist that usually has a terrible downfall that usually results in his death but not always i really need a modern tragic hero (ie-NO SHAKESPEARE). and it cannot be from literature. so shows like Friends or movies like Pursuit of Happiness would be fine. thanks so much. any suggestions or help would be gladly appreciated.
