What are some dystopian short story ideas?
This idea came to me during my evening walk around the block with my dog. I don’t write fiction, but it would be awesome if someone took this idea and ran with it (and gave me a little credit for it):One day, while wheeling a patient to the morgue, the patient comes back to life. He has zero memory of being dead, but he was only dead for about 30 minutes.Then, a few hours later, another corpse in the morgue comes back to life with absolutely no memory of anything that happened after his death. No visions of Heaven or Hell or anything. Just like he went to sleep and woke up.Then, the next day, it happens to someone else in the morgue… Someone who died one day before the other two people.This is happening all over the world. Finally, people figure out the timing: people are returning to life in the reverse order in which they died. That means…… People who were recently buried need to be exhumed… quickly.Sure enough, on the third day of the event, people who died three days before the event started come back to life. Still, not a single one has any memory of anything that happened during death.There’s celebration as people who were recently mourning the loss of a loved one are reunited with them.Months roll by, and people keep coming back to life in the order in which they died.People slowly realize they’re going to have some problems. They’re exhuming bodies as quickly as possible. All of those “new” people have the same needs as everyone else. Supplies become scarce. People start to horde food and gas.A year into the phenomenon, and people who died two years earlier are coming back to life and encountering spouses who’ve remarried.Crime victims are able to ID their killers.Religious leaders don’t know what to make of any of this.In addition to coming back to life, people have also stopped dying.Scientists calculate the speed at which the human population is now booming, and realize that within a decade, there won’t be enough resources for everyone. But no one will die. They’ll just all be really miserable.Unless…They stop exhuming bodies. They let the people come back to life in their coffins, and stay buried in them forever, unable to die.

What if you did a story on... - A teenagers parents get in a car accident, and he/she then realizes it was her best friend or boyfriend who caused the accident. the teenager acts like nothings wrong, moves in with them since she has no parents. But it was all in her plan to get revenge for her parents... - A man finds a way to avoid death, and everyone in the world takes his advice, or medicine, or formula or something, and then one person doesn't. The medicine has side effects three years later, and she's the only person who will suffer a painless death. will she have them get what they deserve for cheating death? or will she save them? And on the subject of teen romance... - A little girl finds herself from foster home to foster home. she doesn't have real parents until she's sixteen. she has a mom, a dad, a little sister, and a brother. although the feeling inside tells her it's wrong, she is still in love with her step-brother. - A girl finds the love of her life at a rockband concert, on a tv show/movie, a famous actor. Her only goal is to get his attention once, even though the whole entire female population's gonna be after him. Okay, so their not the bests ideas, but im sure you can change them around into ur own ideas. I hope i helped. :)
Humorous Short Story Ideas.?
I have to write a 1-2 page humorous short story. I was thinking of writing a story that is not funny but humorous. For example, in Huckleberry Finn, the gang doesn't know what "ransomed" mean, so they make up a meaning for it, they think it means holding someone hostage untill they die. Humorous. Or something that is humorous but you fell very sad for the person. Like the old spice commercial were a guy paints his whole body for a football game to go with his girlfriend, but she calls him and says she's bringing her parants to the game, so he takes a shower, washes all of the paint off, dresses up, answeres the door to find out that the parants painted themselves because they are huge fans. I'll take any suggestions. I have writers block from my essay in my other class.
Jealousy Short Story Ideas...?
Well, at least you have plenty of time to work on it. You could start out with a main character, show what the person is jealous for and why, and then show how that jealousy hurts that person or the people around that person. I suggest that you also scrap that homeless person idea. It sounds a bit in bad taste and might not be well-recieved by your teacher or classmates due to its subject matter. Oh, and perhaps you could substitute words for jealousy, such as envy.
Ideas for a short story idea to do with mirrors?
You could do an unexpected story, like the life of a reflection? Longing to be real but instead having to mimic the motion of others, having no real will of their own, banished and summoned at peoples' will. Or a story about a girl who FINDS OUT she's a reflection. Like a sort of twist, you know? Or something more simple about inner beauty. You could have a girl who tries to go a month without looking in a mirror. Or the you could write a story called mirror about someone who has an annoying tag along who copies there every move, and they have to teach said tag along about individuality and accepting oneself. There really is a lot you can do.

Hi. I want to write a short story-not a children's story, but one for adults that's lighthearted and fun. anyone have any ideas? Something imaginative like with monsters that all go to a bar every Saturday night or something.
Short story idea . . . has to have the line "..he had no choice...".?
A guy could get drafted into the military and you could do a story about his feelings about war, etc. Or he could have pushy rich parents who push him to go to Harvard when all wants to do is be an artist of some sort. Just use your imagination.
