Any Tips For A Highschool Freshman

What are some makeup tips for a high school freshman?

When you wake up, clean your face. Use toner, if you're not into splashing water on your face that early. Try to stay away from toner with alcohol in it, because it'll dry out your skin. Personally, I use a biotherm toner with alcohol in it, because my skin gets very oily and it's the only thing that can keep my skin clear, but find out what works for you.Use face cream and sunscreen under your makeup every day, even when it's not sunny. This will keep your skin smooth and wrinkle-free. Find a sunscreen without oil in it. Don't go for the dollar store one.Find a foundation that suits your skin. Ask beauty experts. You don't want it to be visible that you're wearing it. Don't swatch it on your hand but on your jaw.If your eyes itch or feel otherwise irritated, hold the eye makeup. Mascara can be really bad for your eyes, and cause infection. If you suspect your mascara is causing you issues, hold it for some days, then try another brand. If the issue persists, see a dermatologist. Oh, and try to stay away from mascaras with perfumes in them, your eyes doesn't like scents.Ever feel like your eyeshadow is completely off in an hour after putting it on? Use a primer underneath. Urban decay has a great one, ask if they have any tests.Speaking of eyeshadow (and contouring for that matter), blend. Blending makeup is vital, and helps to avoid your makeup looking like it's drawn on with a sharpie.Speaking of sharpies, ease up on the eyebrows. Rather too light than too dark. Rather too ashy than too red. Rather too natural than too angular.Don't trust Instagram. Their makeup looks good in the video, because it's video. Meet them in real life and they'll look like clowns.Tinted lip balms exists and they save lives and kisses. They're vital at winter.Wearing fake eyelashes too often results in losing your own. Not worth it.Most importantly: have fun with it

Tips for incoming highschool freshman?

- Study Study Study, it's important to get into university or college, try new study techniques such as flashcards, and remember a highlighter is your best friend.

- To make friends, join a few clubs or groups that you might be interested in, that way, you can base friends around your interests. Don't worry if you don't make friends for a little while, just hang out with your friends from elementary or middle school and you will meet new friends. Just remember to keep academics first and don't get into too many clubs that you are struggling to find a balance, i think, 3 clubs / sports, MAX

- if you begin to struggle with academics take good use of tutoring (student success) or a guidance department, if you still continue to struggle, talk to your guidance department and drop down a level.

- if you are finding a course too easy, go up a level, you want to keep as many doors open as you can

- don't spread rumors, just think before you say stuff,

- make you're locker a cool design, that way when you arrive at school, at least you can find delight inside you're locker :)

- select courses YOU enjoy, don't just select them because your friend is taking them, you'll make new friends in them

- don't move in to you're friends or especially a boyfriends locker! if you break up or stop becoming friends , they might kick you out, and your locker might be given away to somebody else, and, sharing a locker, is not romantic,.

- pack a good lunch, cafeteria food is alright, but unhealthy, so pack some healthy food

- ignore rude people,

- don't walk around like you own the school on you're first day, older people hate that

Highschool freshman tips?

Im kinda nervous/excited for highschool. I'll be a freshman after this summer, so does anyone have any good tips?
I have bright blue hair and I dye my hair crazy colors every 3 monthes, and my friend said I should stop for highschool because people would stereotype me and that the teachers wont like me as much just because of my hair and such. is this true?

And is it hard to get straight A's?

Tips for a freshman highschool cornerback?

I'm a freshman in highschool right now and am 5' 9 1/2" and weigh 142lb. My 40 time is around 4.9-4.8. Last season on the freshman I had 3 interceptions, with one of those returned for a touchdown. I had a couple of tackles for a loss but also dropped 2 interceptions. I'll most likely start on JV next year unless I miraculously make a jump to varsity which isn't likely. Does anyone have any tips for me to get better at my position? Drills, diets, workouts, or goals?

What is some advice for a highschool freshman?

Some words of advice from a rising senior:Study hard. Freshman year is one of the easiest years, and you can start high school off with a good GPA (you have some wiggle room in case a class doesn't go well in your later years).Think about SAT Subject Tests. They measure your mastery of subjects you took in school, such as biology, math, and languages. The good news is that you can take them as early as freshman year after you finish a course like biology, and you won't have to cram in all your testing into junior year. If you want to apply to tier 1 colleges, they would likely want to see SAT Subject Test scores. **Most colleges I heard of look for 2 subject tests. Some want you to take a math and a science test (especially if you are considering a STEM major), while others tell you to take tests in the subjects you are good at.**Take the PSAT and/or the PLAN tests. The PSAT is the preliminary SAT, and the PLAN is the preliminary ACT. Taking these tests in freshman and then sophomore year (if possible) helps you work on your weaknesses; by the time 11th grade rolls around and you have to take the SAT or ACT for real, you won't have as much studying to do (I don't know much about the PLAN, but the PSAT is a bit easier than the SAT; still, it was very helpful). Also, if you register for the PSAT in 11th grade, you might qualify to be a semifinalist for the National Merit Scholarhsip.Leave courses like PE for junior or senior year, if possible. You will be slammed with the SAT or ACT and college applications, and you'll want a course that doesn't require too much mental strain.Don't worry about knowing what you want to do in your life just yet. Take different courses in high school, and you might just find something that suits you.Best of luck in everything!

Highschool freshman advice?

Your questions are hard to answer without knowing you or your school, but here goes.
-Should you use a locker? You should use it if you need it and if it is easily accessible. I never once used my locker in high school because it was out of the way and wouldn't make sense to go to. If you have too many books to carry though, you should.
-Should you wear makeup or not? You should do what makes you feel comfortable and beautiful. If you feel more confident not wearing makeup (or wearing it) then go ahead, as long as it's appropriate. The best makeup look is natural, so try not to over do it.
-Reinvent yourself or not? Again, do what makes YOU feel the most confident. Never be someone who you aren't, it won't make people (or yourself) respect you. Just be who you are naturally and the people who like THAT you are the people you want in your life.
-Tote bag or backpack? This is another question that it is impossible to answer without knowing your booklist haha. If you have a lot of books, then you will need to use your locker if you go with the tote.
-Heels or no heels? I wouldn't call heels a 'smart' choice. They may look pretty, but they will make normal activities more difficult than usual and in the long run are bad for your foot and leg health. If you are great at walking in them and comfortable, do it, but if not they may end up being more of an embarrassment than a fashion statement.

I hope you have an amazing freshman year. It can be really tough, believe me, but if you stick with it you will graduate sooner than you can believe and you will look back at this and probably find your hesitation funny. One more thing: get good grades. Friends change and drift away during and after high school, but those grades will get you to where you want to be in life.
Have fun! :)
