Any Tips On Handling This Schedule

Basketball Training schedule?

100 free throws a day, 100 jump shots a day, 100 right layups (with right hand), 100 left layups (with left hand), 100 perfection shots (where the ball goes in without hitting any rim. They're normally taken from about 1 1/2 feet - 3 feet from the basket)

Make all of those per day.
And for the dribbling- dribble low and fast and do lots of figure 8's and stuff with the legs

I played intense basketball and that's what my coach had me do.

Hope it helps :)

What is the importance of setting up a schedule for your project to meet deadlines?

If you do not have a schedule, how will you know if you are on track, ahead or behind? How will you know which parts of the project drive the deadlines and which are less critical? How will your contributors, contractors and people, know when you expect to need their contribution?Do a schedule.

Unwanted schedule change at work, how do I say no?

DO NOT tell her about the type of class you're taking - it's none of her business and could have repercussions you don't want. But DO tell her that you have a "class."

Now...be aware that your boss has a job to do. Her job is to get the shifts covered. Since you said you started working there "recently" I'll bet most other employees have been there longer? It is not fair for the boss to expect the other employees who have been there longer to rearrange their schedules around the new person.

You can calmly and politely tell your boss that you took the job because nights works with your college schedule. Reassure your boss that you really enjoy working for the company and would like to continue to do so, but you hope she understands that your college education is a priority. Offer to help her find a scheduling solution that meets everyone's needs. Bosses like it when employees are part of the solution and not just the problem.

I'd be brushing up my resume just in case....I hope it doesn't come to that, but if the company needs you to work a shift that you're unwilling to work...there are a lot of people looking for jobs right now. :-(

What are your tips for handling emotion that threatens to overwhelm you?

Not being a professional in this area Kristan Hall I can only give you what I have done throughout my life. Change mind set. Do not hold anyone guilty: in other words forgive. Forgive others as well as yourself. Your not going to forget that which had brought on your emotions. But decide you are going to file your problem mentally at the back of your library. And then: get regular exercise, exercising everyday for 1–2 hours, (jogging is a great exercise for this clearing of the mind as is other exercises like yoga, etc), if you like decrease everyday exercise to every second day after two weeks, set 1 hour aside everyday to read books you enjoy, books you don’t want to put down (my favorite list includes legal mysteries), set a time to go to bed and try to keep the schedule every night, getting 7–81/2 hours of sleep, meditate freeing your mind, sometimes when busy do walking meditation concentrating on stationary objects and your breathing, do an internal body message while laying flat on your back and concentrating on breathing, religious or not do some meditation using prayers(listen to what your actually saying) concentration important, volunteer somewhere anywhere to help those less fortunate than you. Be great full for what you have, see the positives even if you have to put a real effort into finding them. Now where is the time to allow other mental thoughts to overwhelm you. Good luck. Suggestion stay away from alcohol especially over indulgence as it has a way of augmenting problems. And one of the most important things to remember is that you must want to clear it from your mind. Try this, doing as much as you can fit into your day.

Some other ideas are to make sure you have transition times between activities. Give a 5 minute and one minute warning prior to ending an activity, particularly center time. Using a holistic thematic approach to your lesson plans can make the transitions easier as well.

For example, during a farm unit...you have plenty of farm books in a bag when taking the kids to the bathroom...while your kids wait, they can read and trade books around.

When the classroom is getting too loud i use " 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 give me a high five (everyone raises their hand) shhhhhhhh...(finger to your lips)"

Try to focus on giving them positive directions...please keep your feet on the floor, etc... Maintaining a routine and schedule are very important. The first month or so will be a period of adjustment for you and your students. Please understand that every day will be unexpected, you may not get everything done on your lesson plans. IT'S OK!!!

I've listed a couple resources I use on a regular basis for lesson planning ideas, games, and other printables. There are even more than these but these are the ones i've used the most.

Please, please, please understand that POSITIVE reinforcement is the best way to approach young children. However, if necessary you may use a time out spot or chair for those instances where a student is causing bodily harm to others.

For those students who are overly emotional or upset, I have a 'teddy bear den' or quiet place to calm down. This area is a soft comfortable place. I've seen them made from cardboard barrels or just a bean bag that is set away from the main traffic of the class.
