Any Way To Get Hair To Be Thinner Without Cutting

How to make hair thinner without cutting?

Having thick, wavy hair is very challenging. I don't agree with your hairdresser that using thinning scissors will make your hair look bigger. 1. it should be over done in the same area. 2. It shouldn't be used in the crown of your head. 3. It should be used in the thickest, or where you have the most volume. If done properly (not over used) you can't see different lengths, other than your layers!
If straightening your hair isn't an option than I would suggest trying a smoothing system like Keratin Complex or Brazilian Blow Out. The negative side is avoiding swimming or getting your hair wet for 72 hours after. If you do you'll have to use a straightner or blowdryer ASAP. After the 72 hours you'll have to put leave in conditioner before swimming, or pre-rinse your hair with fresh water before swimming if you have none. They'll have direction for which one you use. But I heard from friends that it dries much faster with the treatment and dries smooth. This might help you're hair after you're done swimming with your friends. Good luck :)

What are some ways to make your hair thinner without cutting it?

Maybe you are wanting your hair to be softer and therefore more manageable? I have pretty thick hair and have thinned it before but through cutting it. You could try smoothing it or using products like Keratin Complex that are going to help with the frizz or any damage that has caused your hair to be less easy to manage. As mentioned, I have thick hair and live in south Florida where it’s constantly humid, and using Keratin products have helped me maintain smooth hair consistently. Shampoos & Conditioners Good luck!

Is it possible to get your hair thinned out without it getting cut shorter?

thinning shears involve cutting your hair. they can't really be used to take thickness out of your hair without layering it, which involves making some of your hair shorter. if you are ok with that, just get some layers cut into your hair.

if not, there's really not a way to make your hair thinner. sorry.

How to get rid of split ends without cutting hair?

I have very fine, thin, wavy hair that I don't straighten of blow dry often, but I still have horrible split ends! I just recently got my hair cut but they are still not gone. I use deep conditioners and all of that but it doesn't seem to work. If I get my hair cut to where all my split ends are gone, my hair will be extremely short. It is already only down to my shoulders and I'm trying to grow it down to my stomach. Please help!

Making my hair thinner...?

Shampoo with paraffin. Stand near an open flame.

Your hair will become thinner very quickly.

Is there a way to thin out my hair without damaging it?

I assume your old hairdresser may have used the razor thing to thin out your hair. Even though that's the quickest way to thin it, it's also the most damaging as it causes split ends. It also makes your hair grow back weird :/

Your hair sounds a lot like mine! I had gotten it layered then thinned by my old hairdresser and she basically ruined my hair. I went to a place that was a tad bit expensive, but he took his time in cutting my hair and it looked fantastic (even grew in the same way he cut it!).

To thin out your hair, ask your hairdresser to layer your hair, but only using the straight edge scissors (no other type: those damage your hair). If they're good, they should know how to layer it so that it gets thinned, using the straight edge scissors as well. That way, you won't have any split ends or damaged hair, and you'll get a fabulous haircut! Just make sure they don't come at you with the razor type one (like the one a lot of people use to cut their bangs)

Hope that helps!

How should i ask for layered hair without thinning my hair?

I originally had long straight hair with grown out layers and thick grown out bangs. I'm a BIG FAN of long thick mermaid like hair. I saw that my hair was a little flat with no texture or dimension and decided to get layers and have my grown out bangs thinned out because they were so thick that they'd fall on my face and not to the side. I told her i wanted layers and to thin out my thick heavy bangs. i was happy with my bangs because they now stay to the side. however, my hair looks exactly the same as before just thinner. she used those thinning shears/razors to do the job. i don't see any layers at all and it feels like i have fine hair. the back end of my hair looked so thin and stringy from the bottom [from her thinning them out of course]it looks like i could wear extensions [i chose not to because i've been there already] i had to trim them myself. When my hair grows back, how should i ask for layers without her cruddy razors and shears? [scene hair is out of style]
