eLZhi (he's amazing and very underrated, he did a mixtape called "Elmatic" check it out its great) Black Milk (he's got some great beats and solid lyrics) Dizzy Wright (dope rapper, he has chill music, party music,deep meaningful music extc. He just released "The Golden Age" check it out its really good) Logic( he's got music for everybody, some of his music is really corny but when he wants to make dope spitting music it's great and is a really good story teller) Grieves(he's got a emo look to him, but he can spit and is solid all around) Black Hippy(just listen to all thier solo work and you'll know what I'm sayin) Az(a legend and very underrated, he's made some great albums, and has made some great stuff with Nas, also he's a lyrical genius) Lord Finesse( another very underrated legend, he's got soild lyrics and dope beats) Big L(punchline genius, best free stylist of all time) Hope you like some of these guys
Does anyone else like punchline rappers?
Punchline rappers are cool BUT you have to be careful to not just be only a punchline rapper because then no one will want to listen to your music. Take Cassidy, great battle rapper, has good punchlines, sucks at making good music. That is why a lot of battle rappers fail when they try to make music.
